Not interested in Tom Hardy to be honest though. Thought Ray Stevenson was great in War Zone, but he's probably a bit too old now, and he's already featured in the MCU anyway.

He'd probably have to fight Thomas Jane for the part, he still wants to play the character again last I heard.

They won't bring back guys to play the same part, even if they did well, to avoid any questions about the MCU. Otherwise they could have kicked off with characters one or two movies in to save time.

And to answer your initial question they are pretty much rebooting everything now. Universes collided, blah blah blah, you got 50000 different version of the same characters in there now, Thor is not a single person but a Police Force, Hulks are a race, blah blah blah. They are all fighting for who knows what and when it ends we're stuck with all those new, rebooted pieces of shit.
