Inside Out - 7/10

pretty good for a WWE released film...... I loved Michael Rappaport on the old FOX show The War At Home.....

DLVH84 06-22-2012 12:39 AM

Safe House (1998) - 10/10

Perfect mix of comedy, action, and drama. Patrick Stewart was very convincing, portraying a former government official battling with Alzheimer's and dementia, and Kimberly Williams was not bad being his caretaker.

Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter 4/5

Went to see this movie, had some expectations to be entertained but honestly the acting in this was really great. Great storyline, plenty of action, drama and some scary moments in there. I recommend it

Avengers: 9/10

Enjoyed the movie, nothing else really to say.

Schlomey 06-25-2012 12:18 AM

Red tails 6 out of 10.

Started hot but fizzled at the halfway point. Bad editing also. Still a decent film.

Blitz 06-25-2012 01:57 AM

Moonrise Kingdom: 8.5/10. Not Anderson's best work, but real close.

Skippord 06-25-2012 07:01 AM

Crazy Stupid Love - 7/10

Would've been an 8 had that 13 year old kid not been such a faggot. Also had he not gotten naked pictures from his crazy hot babysitter. Seriously fuck that kid

Contagion - 7/10

Liked it, but I give it a day before I start developing symptoms of the disease from the film.

Prometheus - 8/10

ClockShot 06-27-2012 05:57 PM

The Last Mistress - 3.5/5

Saw this on Sundance channel and finished it on Netflix. Nothing special. Asia Argento is hot. That is all.

Skippord 06-28-2012 05:21 AM

Drive Angry - 5/10? 4 out of 10 is for William Fichtner being fucking incredible in it. And the other is for Amber Heard's tits

21 Jump Street - 9/10 I really enjoyed it, honestly that scene with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum tripping is one of my favorite things I've seen in comedy recently.

Skippord 06-28-2012 06:34 AM

Chronicle - 8/10 Pretty good, although Andrew was a huge fag. Would like to have seen more of that blonde girl.

PorkSoda 06-28-2012 07:34 AM

The Sitter - 2/10
We Bought A Zoo - 7/10

Matt Damon: Why would an amazing woman like you even talk to someone like me?
Woman: Why not?

lol. Just lol.

You will in the movie Cherry, and by that I mean a lot more.

One of the most depressing movies I have seen.

McLegend 06-28-2012 04:02 PM

Abraham Lincolon Vampire Hunter: 10/10

Highly enjoyable action packed movie. Might have liked it more then the book.

Blitz 06-28-2012 07:45 PM

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter: 2/10. I wouldn't have thought it'd be possible to make a movie about about a President slaying vampires so incredibly boring, but man, did they ever do that.

Rock of Ages:

Terrible movie, horrible acting, terrible singing for the most part, horrid plot. Mary J. Blige is a good singer, but she sings hair metal as well as Jani Lane could sing '90s RnB: not at all.

That said, I was laughing my ass off during the whole thing. Tom Cruise seemed to know this movie was going to be a piece of shit, so he hammed it up, fusing Blackie Lawless, Axl Rose, and Bon Jovi. Sadly, he needed more Blackie and Axl and less Bon Jovi for the songs he was singing. Most hilariously awesome moment of the movie? (tie) a. Russel Brand and Alec Baldwin singing "I Can't Fight this Feeling Anymore" to each other before kissing. b. Generic Pretty Boy Rocker Hero opening up "I've Been Waiting" while taking a piss. and c. Diesel was one of the bodyguards for Tom Cruise. AKA Kevin Nash was more or less playing Diesel from his early days of being Shawn Michaels' Roadie. I hope this gets Rifftrax'ed. I had many of my own jokes in my head while watching it.

Biggest Disappointments:

1. Was there scenes in a strip club? Yes. Where was the best pole dancing? In the Bourbon Room (which was NOT the name of the strip club)
2. Again there were scenes in a strip club. Guess the two things there wasn't? Nudity and Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls"
3. I think they managed to find a chick who looks like a bleach blonde Olivia Wilde, but without the talent. Though her singing part of "I want to know where love is" with the lace from Cruise's leather pants in her mouth was funny.
4. The folks sing Whitesnake's "Here I go again." Guess whose voice got closest to David Coverdale... If you said Paul Giamatti, you would be right, and laughing your ass off.
5. Church Ladies and Rockers have a sing off. Rockers sing Starship. Church Ladies sing Twisted Sister. Wait, what?
6. Pretty Boy Rocker Hero spent much of the early parts of the movie playing his guitar with all the talents of Van Hammer.

Now, to score it:

For doing what it set out to do: 1/10
For being entertaining: 8/10

Amazing Spider-Man. HOLY FUCK. Much more awesomeness than the Sam Raimi trilogy put together and more accurate persona of Peter!! Ha, the plotline is a bit like the 1st one explaining how Spidey got powers and BEFORE Mary jane, there was Gwen. And stay tuned for the extra ending halfway through the end credits... Emma Stone as Gwen character is a bit meh awkward but damn, I got a new crush on her... :) The Lizard Man oftentimes resembled a mixture of Godzilla and Batman's nemesis Croc in the Arkham game series.

All in all, really enjoyed it. The 3-D almost got me dizzy spells from the scenes of 1st person view of Spidey swinging from tall buildings..

9/10.

SlickyTrickyDamon 06-29-2012 10:30 PM

Ted: Really fn' funny. Place was packed and it was pretty hard even finding parking at the theater. Don't want to spoil anything but it was probably the best comedy I've seen this year.

Probably 9/10. Took a point of for the predictable story arcs.

whiteyford 06-30-2012 12:22 AM

Kevin Smith Too fat for 40 - 9/10

Nicky Fives 06-30-2012 11:25 AM

Jack & Jill - 1/10

I consider myself an Adam Sandler fan, but it's starting to get ridiculous.....

unrelated note, I can't wait to see Ted

MoFo 06-30-2012 11:45 AM

Love, Honour and Obey

Funny ass film. Would only appeal to Brits though I think.

8/10.

Circuit - 7/10

I found it to be a rather poignant and fascinating look into the world of circuit parties

the presentation and look of the movie was just amazing

Jonathan Wade-Drahos is a rather bland actor and it definitely showed at times as he played the lead character John

Andre Khabbazi as Hector was much more interesting and brought more to the character and your heart goes out to him as you watch the movie

The story is about a smart, handsome gay cop from a small closed minded town who moves to Los Angeles to live an openly gay life. After his first party in the Hollywood Hills, he becomes friends with a gay male escort and falls into the circuit party scene which slowly tears him apart. He becomes obsessed with muscles, drugs, parties, and the fast gay West Hollywood night life which eventually ruins his personality and spiritual growth

it was really rather weird seeing William Katt aka Tommy from Carrie in this movie as circuit party promoter Gino

Prometheus - 7/10

Heard bad things about Ted. Apparently all of the funny moments are all that's showin in the commercials and trailers.

PorkSoda 07-01-2012 09:39 AM

A Thousand Words - 5/10. Enjoyed this thoroughly.
Easy Rider - 5/10. I work with an old timer who always asks me if I've seen this. I finally get around to seeing it and don't necessarily enjoy it that much.

Blitz 07-01-2012 03:45 PM

Yet you rated it the same as A Thousand Words, which you apparently enjoyed thoroughly.

PorkSoda 07-01-2012 03:55 PM

I am such an enigma that I can confuse myself and twist my words around and......what am I trying to say?

I felt as if though I HAD to watch Easy Rider. Since I love movies and want to work in the film business, I find it one of those movies that's a "prerequisite" that I had to watch. Sure, Easy Rider, to me, was enjoyable throughout, but I wasn't super duper impressed by it, as many people have asked me if I've seen it so I wasn't so damn impressed by it yet I had high expectations as I watched it. Get it?

My favorite part was when Jack Nicholson was on screen. He was a funny guy and is still a funny guy and I do enjoy his acting, even back in the day I enjoyed him and I still enjoy him today. He stole the show for me.

XL 07-01-2012 05:15 PM

I think the more important point is that 5/10 doesn't equate to "thorough enjoyment".

Half marks is more "Meh", "Take it or leave it", etc,

PorkSoda 07-01-2012 06:33 PM

Exactly. I thought both movies were pretty "Meh. Take it or leave it" so I thoroughly enjoyed it throughout. I got into A Thousand Words more than I got into Easy Rider. The times I did get into Easy Rider AND A Thousand Words, I was enjoying it. Neither movies really left a huge impact or impression on me.

This movie, however, I didn't thoroughly enjoy at all. It was just some guy in a place and STUFF happened. I didn't like it and thought it was a waste of time, yet since I want to work in film, I felt as if I had to watch it.

Cool Hand Luke - 2/10

OssMan 07-01-2012 11:53 PM

I think this scene from Cool Hand Luke is one of the best scenes in film:

<iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dG9tuuznL1Y" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="420"></iframe>

Moonrise Kingdom was really good.

whiteyford 07-02-2012 12:37 AM

Can't fathom anyone not liking Cool Hand Luke honestly.

Nicky Fives 07-03-2012 06:50 PM

Ted: 9.5/10..... I knew I was going to love it, but the movie itself still surprised..... It wasn't as dirty as I thought it would be, and the overall story was quite good.....Mila Kunis could've gotten naked though :(
