MVP suffered a knee injury last night in Preston, UK for Preston City Wrestling. He was wrestling in a tag match, teaming with PCW champ Joey Hayes, vs Kris Travis & Danny Hope. Towards the end of the match whilst brawling outside the ring with Travis, MVP suffered a knee injury that he later categorised as 'popping his knee'. He immediately limped to the back. He was in town for a PCW Supershow 4 weekend, where they book a lot of international stars across 3 shows on Friday & Saturday. reDRagon, Hurricane Helms, Al Snow, Juventud Guerrera, Chris Masters & Uhaa Nation also featured. Also in town was Jeremy Borash, who guest ring announced the Friday night main event & was at the Meet & Greet this afternoon.

MVP was set to face Kris Travis in a singles match tonight but was on crutches. He cut a promo at the start of the show, explaining that he couldn't wrestle tonight. He said that he heard his knee pop & went to the hospital today for an x-ray. He said it was inconclusive and that he'd need an MRI done. Whether this affects his ppv match with Eric Young in 2 weeks on the TNA ppv is a big question.

The Wrestling Observer noted that while it's becoming somewhat of a regular thing, WWE officials have been very upset with Roddy Piper lately. The heat may come from Piper's recent comments about Pat Patterson on a Kayfabe Commentaries DVD or could be from some of the negative comments he's made about Legends House on social media and while doing promotion for the show.

Ric Flair recently spoke with Mike Mooneyham of The Charleston Post & Courier. Flair noted that he's down to 228 pounds and is in the best shape he's been in since his TNA run. The article confirms a recent report that Flair is scheduled to wrestle for a Japanese promotion in September. Flair also talked about his daughter, NXT Women's Champion Charlotte: "She will be the greatest Flair of all time. Her credentials speak for themselves," says Flair. "I'd put her resume up against anybody. She's Rey Mysterio but bigger. She is going to be the greatest female wrestler and the most famous diva in the history of the WWE." Flair also talked about wanting to manage Dolph Ziggler when he returns to WWE soon. Flair commented on Ziggler: "I think he's awesome. He'd be a great guy to manage. He looks like a million bucks. He just can't find his gimmick. He needs to work on his entrance. I could help him with that."

For my fellow Brits, I came across some news last night that was from earlier this year, saying that after Night Of Champions in September, all PPV's will be exclusively on Sky Box Office.

I think that could be down to the WWE Network being released over here at the end of the year.

Cool King 05-31-2014 06:57 PM

So the Northampton Saints won the Premiership today and this is how they celebrated.

The joke I heard on busted open was if TNA was running the PPV this Sunday it'd be called Backpay

Actually thought it had already started until I saw Payback was Sky Sports. Think my official stance is they can go fuck themselves, we aren't really a PPV nation.

I'm also checking the price of tickets for the Raw taping, and a front row ticket there is only costing £77.

Doesn't really make sense unless the Glasgow tickets are some kind of VIP tickets, but it doesn't mention it anyway, so I'm assuming that normal price for a front row ticket there is £400.

Try Gumtree the week of the show, usually great seats for under £100

Anyone think. Heyman may turn on Cesaro and make Sheamus his new Paul Heyman guy.

Lock Jaw 06-01-2014 02:02 PM

Too soon for that to happen. Cesaro's got to get more steam and popularity behind him before the split happens with Heyman being "jealous" again.

Cool King 06-01-2014 02:30 PM

This image is doing the rounds.

It shows a recent TNA house show five minutes before the show is set to begin, apparently.

Sami Zayn really needs a finishing move. They should do an angle where he realizes that the reason that he is a perpetual loser of big matches is that he hasn't got a finishing move.

KaosDarksol 06-01-2014 05:20 PM

I was wondering if the WWE decided to make Daniel Bryan an anti face tonight by having him refuse to give up the titles and getting Brie fired, but obviously he wouldn't be full on heel because he would still be against the authority.

There have been discussions about doing a one-time main roster show, probably a Raw, at the NXT Arena/Full Sail, but it wouldn't be until next year. There are certainly worse ideas, and they've dressed up the building so well as a miniaturized Raw/SmackDown that it doesn't look as "depressing" as many small venues can look to some people.

At least five of the seven Money in the Bank spots have been selected, and they should be filled on TV with qualifying matches. Cesaro is, as you'd expect, the favorite to win.

Payback was fully written by Tuesday with no changes to the script expected, though a previously unadvertised match should be added late. Shield-Evolution will, of course, get the most time (hopefully allowing them to avoid some of the negatives associated with elimination matches) with Cena-Wyatt getting plenty as well. Cena-Wyatt will also have a lot of gimmickry/shortcuts, which is no surprise after their previous PPV matches.

No see, you crossed over two cultures there.

"I'm gone get lit" is something that most people that are black and/or ghetto, wtf ever you wanna call it.

"Yeehaw" is equal in the sense of stupidity, only white and living at the house down the gravel road and to the left.

I like it.

The minute Camacho drops being Mexican and starts calling himself SPAWN OF MENG, he'll go undefeated

Lock Jaw 06-01-2014 07:04 PM

I've been liking Camacho in the ring as of late.

Plus he still gets to use Hunico's sweet theme music.

Yeah, he's got the kick, the blue thunder bomb, and I think a tornado DDT thing from the corner.... he has won matches with all three.... but all three are also regularly kicked out of.
