Seems Retribution's members on Twitter might have accidentally given away a plot twist to their current storyline on RAW.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Each of the members of RETRIBUTION are following each other - and Malcolm Bivens - on Twitter. <a href="https://t.co/12bD9MqTe7">pic.twitter.com/12bD9MqTe7</a></p>&mdash; Gary Cassidy (@WrestlingGary) <a href="https://twitter.com/WrestlingGary/status/1309597138125545483?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 25, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Bivens being the potential middle man between WWE and the group would help explain how they suddenly got signed to contracts despite their goal of wanting to take over the company.

Dorrance...

How is a guy called Dorrance Funk ever getting close enough to a woman to have a kid to name Dorrance?!
Also if your given name is shit, change it.
Don't force it upon your son like that somehow legitimises it. It just makes two dickheads called Dorrance.

Ludacris was great back when I was younger.
Area Codes is still a fucking banger.

Because women in that era were named things like Edith and Agnes, so they really had no room to judge.

No.

So many things are better now than they were when you were younger. Also, every young fan remembers times when it was shit. This is a recency bias excuse used to explain bad content.

Mr. Nerfect 09-27-2020 05:20 AM

Man, I remember HATING The Dark Knight. What a shitty Batman movie. Why couldn't it be like the Adam West Batman? And those Avenger movies sure suck.

Fucking hate that I can order food on my phone now. Or find someone to fuck without actually going out to club. And don't get me started on not needing to carry around cash and being able to make immediate transactions between accounts on the go. Man! EVERYTHING was better as a kid!

So pissed off they can treat my elderly mom with modern medicine too. Fucking sucks. I liked it better when she DIDN'T have a hope.

Hated that new RTJ album. Hated that new video game. Hate fucking Ozark and having access to streaming services on my phone.

Papa Shango, IRS and Tugboat were shit, by the way. And they're not blameless in why people make fun of wrestling.

Fucking hell, that was stupid.

Bad News Gertner 09-27-2020 08:55 AM

Wrestling was better when I was younger simply based on the fact that I could watch Raw without camera cuts giving me a stroke.

slik 09-27-2020 04:39 PM

Meltzer said Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns vs The Fiend, Bayley vs Sasha and Otis vs Brock have been discussed as a possible WrestleMania 37 main-events.

Emperor Smeat 09-27-2020 04:47 PM

Meh on that first matchup but Reigns vs. Fiend sounds interesting and something that's been rumored to be in the works for some time now.

Going to be very interesting in seeing how they make the Fiend a face considering the character is anything but that. Only fear is WWE watering the Fiend down a lot to make that potential idea happen.

slik 09-27-2020 04:48 PM

The Fiend is doing this for the WWE Universe!

Lock Jaw 09-27-2020 04:57 PM

The Fiend will become The Friend

drave 09-27-2020 08:22 PM

And The Friend will come down to the Firefly Funhouse music. He will change his finisher to a hug after a kiss on the forehead, then give his opponent the big W via walking out of the match waving and smiling to his friend.

I'm guessing whoever did the editing on this wasn't too clued in about wrestling, Macho goes for a backdrop on Flair and it's edited into the top rope Flair fling, Hogans entire moves of doom are all over the place, Vader is again wearing his singlet back to front, and the edited in sounds are really bad.

All summed up by one phrase, "It's the drizzling Shits". Wrestling's heyday has come and gone, the Monday Night Wars were pretty much it's peak (and that's when people generally weren't fully aware of how staged it was), been all downhill from there.

Bad News Gertner 09-28-2020 05:10 PM

The Monday Night Wars were not wrestling's heyday or "peak"

Matter of opinion:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...e-of-wrestling

If anything the MNW were the last time it really peaked and had a ton of interest Globally, and that's over 20 years ago now.

Now it's just mundane shit with Promos that sound like they're being delivered at gunpoint, everyone talks the same way, everyone uses the same sad little "Vince'isms" in their Promos.

Volare 09-28-2020 05:40 PM

I would say 1983 is the peak but yeah it hasn't reached close to the MNW heights

Whatever plans WWE had for Retribution got put on hold for at least the next 2 weeks since the group got placed quarantined due to being in recent contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus. None of the 5 members tested positive though.

Also seems Nia Jax wasn't that happy with WWE's announcement of her and Shayna being pulled from Clash of Champs since that quickly led to rumors going around that they were among those who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Lock Jaw 09-28-2020 06:39 PM

Bad News Gertner 09-28-2020 11:18 PM

Just heard this amazing angle that never came to be from the one of the owners of the Global Wreatling Federation in the early 90s.

The idea was a Vietnamese wrestler who they said was a former Vietcong would debut with a dog tag around his neck. Week after week a family would come out upset and asking why this guy was wearing their father/husbands dog tag around his neck. Eventually the wrestler would turn to the family and point to his stomach insinuating he ate him.

Lol amazing.

Could be called "common sense" or "Jim Cornette was right."

Droford 09-29-2020 05:32 AM

I notice the question is "why i stopped watching professional wrestling " not "why i stopped watching WWE" cause the later could probably have an answer of "started watching other wrestling like AEW"

I think actual in ring wrestling has tended to get better as ive gotten older but the older stuff is more memorable even if a lot of it was terrible but younger me liked storylines more, now I am more a fan of the actual wrestling
