NWA's lucky they signed a deal with United Wrestling Network for their new weekly PPV series since they've been bleeding talent and barely making any money during this coronavirus pandemic.

Out of the notable promotions in the US, they likely were going to be the first to fold or be sold off if their monetary situation didn't improve soon.

According to Post Wrestling, WWE lost another notable big supporter of them in NBC's upper management.

USA Network's President is leaving both the network and NBC Universal soon and had been the middle man between WWE and USA & NBC.

For those that listen to the Observer's Pacific Rim Pro Wrestling podcast or are aware of Jim Valley, Valley's recent health issues took another turn for the worst.

According to his wife, Valley's respiratory issues have gotten soo bad that he's on his fourth stint of needing a ventilator to help him breathe within the past month.

Newest thing he's venting about is people wearing masks in public to help combat the coronavirus. He's one of those types that thinks wearing a mask means your giving up freedom to the government. Before that he was sprouting a bunch of QAnon-related nonsense on Twitter and social media.

That being the first match on the show made me quickly realize at the time Vince didn't actually care about ECW's revival and only bothered making it a third brand because of the lingering success from the first One Night Stand show.

Also started feeling afterwards that some of the stuff he mentioned about ECW in the Rise & Fall documentary were very likely BS.

Christian the best ECW star ever

Lol. I heard Scy Fy wanted a science fiction element. They were originally gonna cane an Alien but the network said no so The Zombie made his debut.

What was the consensus on the redesigned ECW Championship? Was it well received or panned? Personally, I thought it looked quite good on Christian.

Early WWE ECW did have some good moments like the time WWE decided to run a show at the Hammerstein Ballroom and the crowd completely shat on the Big Show vs. Batista match because they came to see ECW style action and not WWE style sports entertainment.

That might have also been the last time WWE ran a show at the Hammerstein Ballroom at least for their ECW brand.

Also RVD being a double WWE and ECW champion even if it only lasted for a brief time because of weed issues. He was the only other person besides Cena who made holding the Spinner style WWE title look cool.

I feel bad for Christian at times. While he's seen some success in form of championship victories, the way he was booked in WWE always left a sour taste in my mouth.

At the time, I felt it was very bold of them to announce Rob Van Dam as the new ECW Champion after he defeated John Cena at the second ONS PPV.

RVD just the worst

RVD was so good in ECW and yet so fucking boring in WWE.

New ECW title was a good looking belt but it didn’t fit ECW at all.

The redesigned WWE ECW belt looked okay at the time but in a way also ended up being the forefather to the bland looking title designs WWE would debut years later like the current RAW and SD tag title belts.

Its like WWE wanted their own version of WCW's Big Gold belt for their ECW brand but made it look weak by comparison due to the choice for an all-sliver solid design belt.

I've had two different people who are sometimes in the know tell me WrestleMania 37 is going back to Tampa and Sofi will be getting WrestleMania 38 instead. WWE will obviously announce it somewhat soon as WM tix will still go on sale likely in November.

According to Fightful, Pete Dunne now works as both a talent and backstage producer for WWE's NXT UK brand.
