Yeah it seems the big-big wigs of Sony are willing to undercut Sony Pictures and strike a deal with Marvel Studios - that would in turn undercut Sony's deal with Marvel proper.
It's confusing and stupid. But the jist is Sony would rather Marvel Studios make blockbuster Spidey movies and get some money out of it, then have Sony Pictures limp along until they literally can't afford the sinking ship (and then Marvel gets it back anyway). Spidey heading to the MCU this way makes sure Sony gets money for his film appearances. This wouldn't even be on the table if Sony was confident their studio could knock it out of the park. There's rumor that Marvel Studios is so sure of this outcome Spidey had a slot in a draft of Civil War, but Sony's waiting it out on the off-chance Amazing 3 is spectacular or whatever. Amazing 1 was so-so and I did like Amazing 2, but I think Spidey's going home by Phase 4. |

Didn't help that Amazing 2 was shite. |
The ending of Amazing 2 was weird and awkward. Smashed together in 10 minutes what could have been the plot of Amazing 3. Should of just ended at Gwen's funeral.

Marvel and Fox should try to make a co-production deal. |
First Class and Days have the bittersweet distinction of being really good movies. The Apocalypse, Deadpool, and Gambit buzz alone guarantees Fox a very high bargaining platform. Marvel would have to make a good case. It helps that Hugh Jackman is very open about playing in the MCU.

Is there any chance at all that Pacino ends up being Dr. Strange?
|
Bendict Cumberbatch is Dr. Strange.
|
Didn't realize that was official.
Never mind. |
He's also a bit too old to the the Sorcerer Supreme.

Back in the 616, Spider-Woman is getting a new costume. Something 'streetwise' and not unlike Batgirl's new duds:

eh, I like the old one.
|
Reminds me of The Tarantula from DC Comics....
|
She takes love.
|
I love it, especially that Javier Rodriguez will be illustrating instead of Greg Land. Hopefully the artist change is permanent.

Kluh is stupid as fuck.
"Hey, we heard you like Hulk, so we put a Hulk in your Hulk..." |

Read Age of Ultron.
Was thoroughly unimpressed. |
Well its clear that the film isnt going to go with the whole time travel thing. Its really just the name being borrowed from what it looks like.
AoU had its highs and lows...but the ending was pretty huge in terms of opening up doors for new characters/iterations and crossovers. |
I did mark out for Angela, but yeah, World War Hulk and House of M have been the only big crossovers I've really liked in the last 10 years.
Still been a lot of great stuff in Marvel's monthly titles though. |
Try Earth X and Universe X. Those are supposed to be pretty good.
|
I started reading Marvel with House of M. Which was kinda weird to do, because for a lot of the characters I didn't really know, the first version I read was an alternate timeline version. I am way behind now. So behind that the last major event I read was Siege.

Wow that really was pretty fucking fantastic.

Jaimie Alexander has teased on Twitter that she did some Sif stuff for... who knows. She didn't say. Age of Ultron, SHIELD, Ant-Man reshoots, who knows.

SPOILER: show |

Did that at least take?

Vinnie Diesel updated his FB cover photo with a picture of him and "are you Inhuman"....maybe hinting?
|
His named was linked to Black Bolt way back. Dunno if he's actually in the running.

Then again it would be pretty hilarious if one of his characters was voice only and the other everything but. |
Yeah, if anything he might make a good Gorgon, but I definitely can't see him as Black Bolt.
|
I'd imagine they're going to ditch the "speaking destroys errthang" stipulation to Black Bolt in the flim...I mean, I cant really imagine Marvel having the leader of the Inhumans just making faces for 2 hours. Works in books, probably not so much in film.
|
This would be the same studio that made a talking gun toting racoon work on film.

I don't think they'd make Black Bolt talk. Most of what they've done so far has been somewhat loyal to the comics, and has catered to comic fans whilst still appealing to mainstream audiences.
Groot was one of the most loved characters from Guardians. I've seen him all over any Marvel advertising/displays at work, and yet his only dialogue consists of three words throughout the whole movie. Black Bolt not talking on film will work. |
