Pats will still win anyway.

McLegend 11-29-2015 01:24 PM

There is way too many injuries in NFL now more then ever it seems even though there has been so much precaution taken with hitting.

I think the lack of practice has caused more injuries then there would have been with more practice.

I have no data to back this claim up, but I feel like I'm on to something.

Ruien 11-29-2015 02:48 PM

I think players are placed as injured more easily than before. The RB is out with a concussion this week. If this was 10 years ago would the RB still be out? Nope. He would have been playing.

Going to take a lot to manage to top the one the Colts botched a few weeks ago.

Explain more ACL injuries.

Ruien 11-29-2015 07:20 PM

Would need to see some actually statistics on the injuries. Not that I will have a scientific reason behind what is happening but I doubt the percentage of ACL injuries has dramatically increased.

road doggy dogg 11-29-2015 08:37 PM

Lions playing 3 games in 12 days. Woo injuries!

Emperor Smeat 11-29-2015 11:27 PM

Pretty sure most non-Pats fans in the country celebrated that win by the Broncos.

It's sorta like whenever the Yankees get knocked out of the playoffs. One of those occasions when the other fanbases come together as one to rejoice in the misery of another team.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-30-2015 12:29 AM

Shitty state also amrite? Only people who go there are only trying to find directions to get away from there.-Skinner!!!!!!!!!!

STD you are the worst type of sports fan @last few posts... you're like one of those caricatures of a real person that is in sports commercials and wears a football jersey at times that isn't during a football game

Patriots fans complaining about officiating is hilarious to me.

Yeah we need more data here.

I say Smelly Meatball looks up injury states for us, and see if I'm onto something.

Emperor Smeat 11-30-2015 05:02 PM

If I had to guess, its probably a mix of guys tackling lower due to rule changes and certain types pf practices being restricted by amount for the past couple of years.

Quote:

The NFL implemented a number of changes this year that were intended to reduce the number of injuries. In March, NFL owners agreed to eliminate “all chop blocks and peel blocks by running backs outside the tackle box,” ban “players from pushing teammates at the line of scrimmage in order to block punts” and expand “defenseless-player protection to include interception returns.” None of these arcane changes have had any noticeable impact on the total number of injuries thus far. The NFL claims that previous rule changes have reduced the number of concussions sustained by NFL players.
http://thinkprogress.org/sports/2015...-nfl-football/

They tried to get rid of high hits and the chop style but instead of coaches teaching players to tackle the body, most are probably going lower towards the knees for easier tackles.

http://www.pro-football-reference.co...5/injuries.htm
A big bulk of this year's injuries are towards the foot and knee areas.

Another quick search might suggest something a bit more sinister if Brady Quinn is right about how players are using and hiding their HGH use.

Pats/Texans officials have been changed this week. Crew working has had two major NFL warnings. They were removed from Pittsburgh game after losing 18 seconds off the Steelers gamelock unnecessarily during a game winning drive.

Austin Davis is your starting QB for the Cleveland Browns.

Calling it now, Johnny Rehab's days are numbered.

Emperor Smeat 12-03-2015 12:06 AM

Next month's NFL owners vote is going to determine which team or teams are likely moving to LA for next season. Baring a sudden change, the current options are Raiders & Chargers or just the Rams.

Raiders considering pairing with the Rams if their bid with the Chargers doesn't get enough support prior to the vote. Rams nor Chargers are interested in pairing together.

Not really fair in my opinion. He should be able to have fun and not get in trouble if he can keep it in line. Gotchya culture victim.
