Apparently CM Punk wrote a story for some Thor Annual.... and wants to get in and write more stuff, saying that he really wants to write The Punisher and has an "awesome story idea" for it.

Nowhere Man 11-10-2014 07:45 PM

So, apparently in the Fantastic Four reboot, Doctor Doom's new origin is that he's an anti-social computer programmer who only uses the name "Doom" as a screenname.

http://collider.com/doctor-doom-new-...ic-four-movie/

They are really going out of their way to make this as retarded as possible, aren't they?

Lock Jaw 11-10-2014 07:52 PM

Maybe their plan is to make a superhero movie so bad in an attempt to kill the genre and sabotage their competitors who have the rights to so many more superheros than them.

JimmyMess 11-10-2014 07:56 PM

that seems a bit "out there"

Kalyx triaD 11-10-2014 08:01 PM

This FF movie is sounding so bad I think it can only come out awesome.

Rammsteinmad 11-10-2014 09:49 PM

Or maybe you can all wait until it comes out before saying how awful it sounds.

Lock Jaw 11-10-2014 10:08 PM

Don't be ridiculous.

Kalyx triaD 11-10-2014 11:52 PM

We can say it sounds awful, that's not a full review or anything. I'm open minded. Just really strange shit coming out of this production.

Damn.

I've been pretty optimistic this would turn out to be good despite what people have been thinking but maybe it really will turn out a disaster.

I won't know until I see the first trailer.

Shadow 11-11-2014 04:26 PM

This is such a beautiful trainwreck I can't wait to see it!

Nowhere Man 11-11-2014 06:26 PM

I kinda almost think that Fox is trying to pull off something like the plot from The Producers here-- make a movie on the cheap that will make its money back as long as maybe six people see it, but then make it so unbelievably awful that it tanks the franchise, then sell the remains back to Marvel knowing that Marvel won't be able to make money off of it themselves.

loopydate 11-11-2014 07:13 PM

Springtime for Victor
And Latveriaaaaaaaa

It wouldn't make much sense saying "It sounds awful" after seeing it, now would it?

Now's the time.

It sounds awful.

That would be a great plan if Marvel didn't have a trump card.

Their movies make bank.

There hasn't been one that's been ultra shitty yet. And it doesn't look like there will be one. So they're gonna sit on that and be fine forever.

Kalyx triaD 11-11-2014 10:04 PM

Spider-Verse goes through many versions of Spidey. Including...

Nowhere Man 11-12-2014 06:24 PM

I can't wait for the FF sequel, where Galactus is just a kinda tall guy with an eating disorder.

loopydate 11-12-2014 07:39 PM

And the third one where Mole-Man is played by Fred Savage in his Goldmember makeup.

Kalyx triaD 11-18-2014 12:35 AM

Marvel Studios released an official timeline of Phase 3 that confirms Civil War is the first 'episode' Phase 3, meaning Ant-Man is the finale of Phase 2 rather than Age of Ultron.

Shadow 11-18-2014 04:28 PM

Woah...that's ambitious.

Reavant 11-18-2014 08:37 PM

Marvel already gave themselves an out with the death of wolverine.... He showed up again after the first weapon x comic.. with no memory of course

What are you talking about?

What Weapon X comic?

Sixx 11-19-2014 09:24 AM

Wait, you mean that "Sharp" guy?

I think he was just seeing shit. Like that reflection in the mirror.

He didn't look like Wolverine at the beginning of the comic.

Reavant 11-21-2014 02:28 PM

He had a mask on the entire comic...

Fignuts 11-21-2014 06:58 PM

Axis is alright so far.

But just alright. Marvel's crossovers have been pretty weak the last decade. World War Hulk and House of M were the only ones I really enjoyed. Feel like the ongoing titles are much better than all these big event books.

Not at the very beginning.

And AXIS was good, until they came up with that inversion shit. It was alright when everyone was being an asshole, but now that the good guys are bad and bad guys are good it's just silly.

Fignuts 11-21-2014 08:46 PM

Yeah I don't care for that either.

dronepool 11-21-2014 11:53 PM

I like Axis but the latest issue was eh. I do like Superior Iron Man though.

KIRA 11-22-2014 12:04 AM

People just aren't all that interested in the Fantastic 4 IMO

Besides that the people behind this reboot seem to be actively working to make it so bad it's good.

XL 11-23-2014 04:33 AM

People (i.e. a mass audience) weren't all that interested in Iron Man/Thor/Captain America until they were handled really, really well. Unfortunately, it seems FF aren't being handled really, really well.

Rammsteinmad 11-23-2014 12:30 PM

How are the FF faring in comics? It just seems in general (not just in movies) that with the success of the X-Men, Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel's First Family are kinda forgotten.

Lock Jaw 11-23-2014 01:00 PM

They are actually getting canceled. So not so good.

Fignuts 11-23-2014 01:02 PM

I liked Future Foundation.

Sixx 11-23-2014 02:17 PM

The new Ultimate FF is pretty terrible.

The Destroyer 11-23-2014 03:08 PM

Think it got cancelled pretty quickly anyway. Yet another failed attempt to get the Ultimate universe going again. :(

Fignuts 11-23-2014 03:15 PM

The Ultimates and Spider-man are still pretty great from what I hear. Dunno about X-men.

The Destroyer 11-23-2014 03:32 PM

I thought All New Ultimates was getting canned as well?

Lock Jaw 11-23-2014 03:45 PM

Don't think I've read a single issue from the Ultimate line ever

Lock Jaw 11-23-2014 03:46 PM

Wait, that isn't true... I think I randomly read some Ultimates comic once.... vaguely remember Hawkeye being tied up or something, and pulling his fingernails off to use as projectile weapons.
