Kaiju Big Battel is pretty great.

Was surprised when I first learned its not an actual comedic wrestling promotion like DDT and instead its mostly art students and performance artists acting as wrestlers.

This shit is killing Chris Jericho. It'd kill Suzuki's mystique too.

Orange Cassidy's work is the drizzling shits. I watched a brawl with Jericho recently and you can see him telegraph spots, obviously getting himself into position, his punches look shit, his Superman punch looks shit -- he almost looked like he was fighting wind resistance and Jericho had to fling himself backwards to go through a table.

Too many people put emphasis on whether a guy can kip up or do a dive. That shit's fucking boring unless it's got some meat behind it, which Cassidy does not bring.

And I'm sorry, but I'm sick of hearing that I need to "watch more of him." It's his job to hook me. He shouldn't be so fucking shit from the start.

I think in Suzuki's case he just likes helping out smaller promotions regardless of their content. Also, everyone knows he is a legitimate badass for real, so it's a lot easier to seperate the silly stuff he does from the serious work.

Emperor Smeat 07-07-2020 06:40 PM

Yeah he's already done comedy based stuff before like the empty baseball arena match for DDT or anytime he's with Toru Yano in NJPW.

Him never going above NEVER tier for titles in NJPW is a lot more due to him being a freelancer and NJPW being very picky when it comes to that for major titles. Plus he was late into his career when he first joined the company.

Eye for an eye match at ER is apparently going to actually have an eye pulled out, or more likely some Hollywood special effects

It was dumb to put the video out, but he also knows that loads of fans will take him at his word even though many of them are the same people who demanded proof from Cartwright and weren't ever going to believe her short of video footage of her being assaulted.

Ibushi and Sabre Jr. not signing WWE deals ended up being the best thing to happen to both guys since they would have been wasted big time in the company. Especially Sabre Jr since his style is very heavy on holds and submissions and something WWE doesn't really care about.

I have a hard time believing someone involved in wrestling didn't know who the owner of the biggest company was.

PWI had a pretty interesting article recently on JJ Dillon's fallout with Vince in the past and why he's one of the few WWE Hall of Famers that wants nothing to do with the company unless its 4 Horsemen stuff out of respect to the group.

A - JJ Dillon worked for a number of years alongside Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson as one of the top executives for the WWF. In his excellent autobiography, Wrestlers Are Like Seagulls, Dillon wrote extensively about working on a one-on-one basis with McMahon and being put in the position to take the heat for McMahon's decisions when it upset the wrestlers working for the company. Dillon noted in the book that he was concerned about being left in the open as a public scapegoat for the company's original drug testing plan since he was the administrator and if they didn't stick to the policy as written, it was on his head. During the same time period, WWE reduced the salary of a number of their office staff and executives to stave off financial problems coming out of the Vince McMahon steroid trial era, which put Dillon, living in CT (which is expensive) behind the eight ball financially. When his family was finally able to sell their home, Dillon tendered his resignation. According to Dillon, McMahon, worried that Dillion was going to crap all over the company publicly (the same week as Shane McMahon's wedding) made an offer to take care of Dillon on the way out. Dillon agreed and said he would sign following a family vacation that weekend. When he returned, the offer had been pulled because he had "allegedly" had discussions with WCW. Dillon claimed in his book, those discussions were nothing more than his family running into Scott Hall's family while at the Magic Kingdom when both were on vacation. He also claimed that McMahon lied about his departure, telling others that JJ had attempted to "extort" from the company. Dillon said that he made a conscious decision at that point to never work for WWF again, and in his appearances on the Horsemen DVD and the Flair Farewell, were done more out of respect for history and wanting WWE to get the story and moment right, than in seeking out a paycheck. Dillon did get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but has not done anything else for WWE since that I can recall. I think someone, perhaps AEW, would be smart to pick his brain since he's now retired.

Yeah I figured that’s what HHH was hinting at coming up when he was talking about the women’s division after Charlotte’s NXT run.

Seems whatever beef AJ Styles had with Paul Heyman backstage wasn't just related to Styles being upset over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson's departure from WWE.

If there were some bullying going on that upset me enough to leave RAW and go to SmackDown, I would handle it. And whether I got my tail beat or not, I'd still handle it. I'm a grown man. So, I'll just throw that out there.

"When it came to the rumor about Paul Heyman and being upset with him because he didn't take up for Gallows and Anderson before they got released, that's not what it was at all," AJ continued. "It's not even close. I'll give you a snippet of what me, Gallows, and Anderson already know - [Paul Heyman] is a liar. Now you know; I'm sure you've heard that before if you go back to his ECW days, you'll hear that. He's a boldface liar. So, that's my take on that. I will let Gallows and Anderson [add to it]."

It's true. She was/is pretty without the makeup and is now a quite thin and attractive woman in her 40's or 50's. I follow her on IG actually.
