MLW have been pretty quiet achievers. They haven't started with the world's largest budget, but they've managed to build things up quite well. They just announced that DAZN deal and that Tom Lawlor will be working with New Japan.

They were teasing meetings with NBC Universal and some other networks (Showtime, I think). It'd be great if something fell out of those when the restrictions lift.

I remember reading MLW might have been in talks w/ CBS for their CBS Now service or Showtime as you mentioned above, before rona, but I don't know now.

The NJPW stuff is good, I like MLW when I catch it. Battle Riott is a good idea.

In terms of tv expansion, MLW pretty much is what ROH should have been had Sinclair actually cared to invest in the company for the long term and not simply view them as just cheap programming. Sinclair's mentality has changed over the past year but the brand's image still has a lot of fixing to do.

In terms of show and match quality, ROH mostly blows MLW out of the water. Could probably make a case of them being closer in quality since Jay Lethal's 2nd title reign but ROH might still hold the edge. Biggest criticism about MLW since its revival has been their in-ring stuff being their biggest weakness despite having a pretty good roster available, especially with AAA lending them talent.

Sean Mooney ended his podcast this week. Had a nice run. He had some pretty unique guests on so it was a good listen.

Besides Ricky Starks, seems NWA is about to lose another notable star from their roster.

Add Thunder Rosa as well who has shown recent public interest in working elsewhere.

Out of the Big 6 promotions in the US (WWE, AEW, Impact, ROH, MLW, & NWA), NWA is on the shakiest ground in terms of finances based on past comments by Billy Corgan and former VP David Lagana.

This sucks, because Zicky Dice is great. I am sure a promotion who needs a midcard heel will snap him up.

On the bright side, Tessa Blanchard is now available since she just got fired from Impact.

I don't know if AEW/WWE will want to sign her if those rumors of her being toxic to deal with are true

I would honestly rather have Tessa in AEW but its one of those things where it makes too much sense so it probably won't happen. The only positive with her going to WWE is a Charlotte feud but with Tully in AEW it limits s what they can do

I'd be surprised if she signed with either company.

Even when WWE was in talent hoard mode, they showed little interest in signing her whenever she was available. Too much of a bad rep within WWE from past encounters there and a bunch of WWE's female locker room doesn't like her over past incidents.

She'd be too much of a PR nightmare for AEW considering her past racism accusations and at least one in AEW's female locker room doesn't like her because of past issues.

If he thinks he can make some money off her, he won't give two fucks about any baggage.

The New Day have been together for 2167 days. According to guy on r/SC, that is the longest tenured stable in professional wrestling history to not have a break up.

I was thinking the other day how they've been together for fucking AGES by WWE standards. They're their longest reigning Tag Champs and I think they are pretty close to having won the most championships together. In kayfabe, they are probably their greatest tag team.

I think they are stale as fuck, personally. I wouldn't mind a real change for them, but I don't really want to see heel Big E (unless it's in the group). If they turn someone, it should be Kofi Kingston and possibly Xavier Woods. No need to take everything that makes Big E enjoyable and flush it down the toilet, ala Rikishi in 2000.

I also wouldn't be opposed to them adding a new member. They've been together long enough that it could add cache to someone.
