K, so apparently Hogan almost came back to the WWE according to Bruce Prichard in his Guest Booker dvd but thr Montral Screwjob happened.

I could watch these Timeline/Guest Booker DVD's all day. Watched the 1986 George the Animal Steele one and his Macho Man stories are amazing.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-24-2014 12:50 AM

I like Timeline but not a huge fan of Guest Booker series.

Just got that, still to watch the Steele one. You'll like the Al Snow guest booker one, just for his anti smark rants.

Les Kellett, old World of Sport guy/Colt Cabana's favourite wrestler ever

Emperor Smeat 05-25-2014 03:31 PM

Nope, was done by a British wrestler named Les Kellett.

Found it on NeoGaf's wrestling thread as part of a discussion about European wrestling.

The latest word is Daniel Bryan will be appearing on next Monday night's episode of Raw and he will be relinquishing the WWE world heavyweight championship. The idea, apparently, is not to rush him back too soon, instead focusing on his long term health. Bringing him back and having him drop the belts himself gives them the ability to book a segment to gain a ton of sympathy for him on his way out so he can be really hot upon his return. It is expected he'll be right back in the main event scene when he does come back.

If everything goes according to plan, the winner of the title could end up defending it against either Daniel Bryan or Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. You can expect Lesnar back, by the way, just after the Battleground event.

Rusev vs. Big E is no longer happening, for whatever reason. So what's the plan for Rusev? Your guess is just as good as anyone else's.

The reason Ric Flair was shot down when he requested to work with Dolph Ziggler is because WWE didn't like the idea of two loose cannons working together. The Miz is the guy Flair will work with because he's a company guy and they feel like he can be counted on to do the right thing at all times, no matter how wild Flair may get.

Black Widow 05-25-2014 04:48 PM

I don't understand the Ziggler love. He is not horrible or anything but I don't think he should ever be the top guy.

Rammsteinmad 05-25-2014 05:15 PM

One of my friends was a Rosebud on last weeks Raw in London. I'm sad that she's been on Raw and I haven't. :(

but flair would do more for zigler then the miz that is just a waste

Kingofdaswing 05-25-2014 05:26 PM

I don't know anybody on the roster than annoys me more than the Miz. So I guess putting Flair with him will help a little, but if he wooo's along with Flair I may puke in my mouth.

So Layla gave an interview to a website while over here in the UK. One thing she said, is leading people to believe that she might be leaving the WWE/retiring this year.

WWE Diva Layla El for Strictly Come Dancing 2014? She wants Claudia Winkleman’s job too!

It’s been revealed this week that World Wrestling Entertainment – or WWE as it’s better known – star Layla El would love to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing…

And she’s certainly got the CV for it, given that she started her career as a professional dancer working on cruise ships, and has been a backing dancer for US star Kanye West and our own Elton John among others.

Speaking to Bang Showbiz about her Strictly ambitions, Londoner Layla said, “I’ve been watching Strictly and I have to say, I definitely want to be a part of that.

“I’m absolutely up for doing it.”

Adding that she wants to return to England for good this year, she added, “I think I’d be a ‘character’ on it…

“Everyone would either love me or hate me, but I’d definitely get a reaction.”

The WWE Diva added, “I want to say congratulations to Abbey Clancy who won last year and not only that, I have to say congrats to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman [who’s replacing Sir Bruce Forsyth], girl power!”

However, she cheekily remarked, “If they ever need a replacement, they better make sure they call me up. I’ll come and host the show.”

But returning to her career as a dancer, Layla said, “I miss dancing; it’s something I’ve always done since I was a little girl.

“I trained at Italia Conti [and] I’ve danced with a lot of stars in the UK like Ms. Dynamite, Elton John and Blue as well as people like P. Diddy, Mace, Kanye West and Jamie Foxx in the US.”

Would you like to see Layla on Strictly? Well, watch this space because we will of course let you know if she lands a role, but in the meantime, you can see her and a whole host of other wrestling stars in the WWE Live WrestleMania Revenge tour…

There’s a performance tonight at London’s O2, which will be followed by shows at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield on Tuesday, the Belfast Odyssey Arena on Wednesday and then the O2 in Dublin on Thursday.

Further information and tickets are available at Bookingsdirect.com.

It's the "Adding that she wants to return to England for good this year" line, that's making people think that she could be leaving/retiring.

Vastardikai 05-25-2014 07:47 PM

What to do with Rusev? If only there was someone on the roster who represented America that could face the Bulgarian...

Cool King 05-25-2014 07:48 PM

You're right.

Put him in a feud with Sin Cara.
