the movie had a lot of laugh out loud moments and overall was good. all the newspaper reviews i read raved about it but i dont know if i would agree with how great it really is.

The Godfather 10/10
Had never seen the movie because I read the book. Awesome. |
the mummy 3 - 6/10
The whole thing seemed rushed, don't even know why I am giving it a 6 tbh... |
Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay 3.5/5
Tropic Thunder 3.5/5 |
Shooter - 4/10
Mark Whalberg has zero charisma. I just wanted Danny Glover in every scene. Even the vile rapist fella who worked for Glovers character would have been more fun to watch. |
The Godfather Part II 10/10
I don't really want to give this the full 10, but I don't really feel right giving it anything less than because that would imply it is a lesser movie than the first Godfather, which it is not. Awesome. Long, but worth it. |
heartbreak kid 6.5/10
|
What? Shooter was a great movie.
|
Rush Hour 3 7/10.
Pirates of the Carribean - At Worlds End. 2/10. |

A Good Year - 4/5
|
The Godfather Part III 6/10
There was a lot of good here, but a lot of bad. I am the last person in the world to see this trilogy all the way through. |

Same here, Reqer.

Batman Begins
7/10 Suprisingly good - yes I have only just seen it. |
Rescue Dawn - 8/10
Wings of Desire - 7/10... weird movie. |
Fight Club 3/5
The narratoration was annoying at times, but themes and subtext were executed well. I think I'd probably like the book a lot better. |
The Beatles: Help! 7/10 - Not as good as A Hard Days Night and the plot really didn't make too much sense but still funny.

Yellow Submarine - 9/10
Awesome trippy movie :D |
I'm Not There - 3/10
Pretty terrible fucking movie. What a mess. |
Rec - 8/10
I've got The Orphanage on Blu Ray and Rescue Dawn to watch in next day or so! Especially looking forward to seeing Rescue Dawn because of Herzog and Bale! |
The History Boys: 7/10

no country for old men 7.5/10

The Other Boylen Girl - 0/10
Sadly a movie this bad is not so rare anymore. The plot was boring, the acting was terrible, most of the time was people staring blankly at someone talking, no suspense at all, no build up, not a thing worth noting a waste of 1:45 of my time. I want to shoot whoever thought this was a half-ways decent movie. (My girls sis said it was good she has a horrible fucking taste in movies) |
Street Kings 8/10
Black Snake Moan 9/10 |
Amelie 10/10
No movie has just made me 'feel good' like this movie did. I found myself tearing up at times just because of how happy people were at how they were helped. I am probably gay for saying that, but it just made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Definitely suggest watching this if you've never seen it. |
Vicky Cristina Barcelona - 9/10
|
In Bruges - 3.5/5
Would have maybe upped it half a point to a 4 if they added 5 more minutes at the end. |
Live Free or Die Hard
6/10 It was entertasining but had some super cheesy parts.. I prolly would've liked it more had it not been a Die Hard movie.. Like it it was just some random B.Willy action movie.. Michael Scott was right about the evolution of John McLain.. He used to be a regular everyday guy, put in the crazy situations and he struggled to survive.. Now he's jumping cop cars off toll booths into helicopters.. meh |
Bowling for Columbine - 2/10
Ill try to explain, I hated this for the fact there was roughly 20 mins dealing with columbine, and 2 hours of shit about the NRA. drove me fucking crazy watching it. Makes me want to shoot Heston in the fucking kneecaps for his comments at the end, and Moore for making this more about the NRA then anything else. I watched hoping for some insight into Harris and Klebold, their lifestyle, what made them snap, etc. I was very very disappointed. |
The movie wasn't about Columbine, it was about gun control. Just because you didn't know what the movie was going to be about doesn't make it a bad movie.
|
Quote:
Honestly, I didnt want an information session on the NRA. The only thing I liked was, the Manson interview, the security camera footage, and the K-Mart incident. I just dont like the movie as its barely about what the title implies. |
Rain Man isn't about a man who is made out of rain...
|
Thats not the point I am trying to make, I watched Bowling for Columbine, expecting something interesting about Columbine.
|
My point is you're focusing too much on the title. You can't judge a movie based on the title.
It wasn't about what you expected it to be about. If I watched Rain Man for the first time thinking it's about a man made of rain, I wouldn't hate it simply because it wasn't. I would judge it as a movie. |
Quote:
although the movie did focus on Columbine around 20 mins in, and for the last 15 mins or so, it had some Columbine stuff. They barely talked about Harris, and mentioned Klebold once or twice I think. I mean if the movie was intended to be about what happened because of them, you would think the movie would be more about them. |
But it wasn't intended to be about what happened because of them.

Apocalypse Now: Redux
Um.. 5/10 I -want- to like this movie. I have read that in order to appreciate this movie, I need to see the non-Redux version, as the Redux takes away from the movie instead of adding to it. To put it plainly, I just didn't fucking have any idea what they were talking about in this movie. I 'got' what was going on I guess, but the conversations went way over my head and I just didn't understand half the crap that was being babbled on and on about. I liked the banter between soldiers, and for a war movie it was decent.. I understood the general story, and a few of the deeper things going on. But when it came to the longer talking moments, I didn't know what the fuck was going on and it really put me off. Anyone care to explain this movie to me so I can 'get' it, or should I just try to find the non-Redux version? |
I never liked Apocalypse Now. Everyone always talks about how amazing it is but it really is just a boring ass movie. Like I can appreciate that it is a really well made movie but I have tried to watch it twice and just did not like it both times.
|
I love the smell of Napalm in the morning.

8/10 Pretty awesome movie. Kinda predictable, but I love gambling movies. |
The Bucket List
10/10 Wow, amazing movie. I'll admit it... I cried. :'( |
Big Love - Season One 7/10
I really didn't think I'd like this at all, but I was oddly attracted to it. Much of it was the novelty of the polygamist lifestyle, but that is to take nothing away from the actors. Plus you see Bill Paxton's ass a lot. |
lol Icebox.
|
He Got Game 8/10
I love Spike Lee movies and this is one of the few ones I havent seen. I've owned it for a few months, but never had the time to sit down and watch it. I finally watched it last night. I really liked it. |
Ocean's Thirteen
8/10 Really entertaining. Didn't think I would like it as much as I did. And just now: Dirty Work 8/10 Yeah, never saw this before. Pretty hilarious. |

Todd Solondz's (Happiness, Welcome to the Dollhouse, etc.) first movie, which he hates and I finally found. Tremendous. |
21 7/10
|
Once Upon A Time In The West
10/10 Probably the best western I've ever seen. It's an old movie, but probably one of Henry Fonda's best roles too. He actually plays a bad guy, and he does it incredibly well. Didn't expect it to be nearly as good as it was. |
The Prestige
8/10 Great cast and was a cool mystery with alot of twists.. The only thing, though it kept my attention the whole time, it was alittle longwinded and seem to drag on through parts., Def a good movie though.. Scarlet Johansen Shottas 9/10 I really liked this Jamaican gangster flick.. The soundtrack (done by Stephen Marley) was outstanding and it reminder me between a mix of Scarface and Belly.. I just really really liked this movie.. |
Wanted 8/10
I was entertained. |
Motorcycle Diaries
10/10 Although it seems controversial and has been labeled as Pro-Che Guevara propaganda, I loved it nonetheless |
Death Race 9/10.
I kind of want to give this a 10. I enjoyed it throughout. One big action piece. Jason Statham always kicks ass. One part of the movie I didnt get was (highlight) how Jason Statham and Machine Gun Joe all of a sudden became friends. Did I miss something there? Otherwise, awesome movie. |
Knocked Up 7/10
|
Redbelt: 7.5/10. Chiwetel Ejiofor=

If it had kept the mundain pace it had set in the firs act I would have gone as far as 10 here. Sadly it didn't hold up. Still very good and would watch it again. |
Drillbit Taylor - 2.5/10
Fucken predictable as hell,if I wasn't somewhat of a owen wilson fan it'd get a zero. |
The Notebook 9/10
I loved how this movie built up, one of the best endings I have ever seen :) |
Street Kings 4.5/5
This movie was so good that it made Keanu Reeves good just from association. Plus House (forgot his name) and Forrest Whitaker played incredible roles. Will watch multiple times. |

:y: Just Friends 6/10 Ok so its shitty but honestly I found it fairly funny at various points, Ryan Reynolds is WAY annoying in a lot of it, but him singing I Swear in a fat suit in front of the mirror was pretty priceless |
Wanted. 10/10. Friggen LOVED it.
|

Fight Club: 10/10
|
Zack and Miri Make a Porno - Not really a big Kevin Smith fan but this was enjoyable, and smith fans should get a "kick" out of this, 7/10
|
Oh I'm sure they will. Kevin Smith could take a crap on a plate and they'd love it.
|
Starship Troopers 3
-37/5 I love Starship Troopers but this shit was awful. One of the most terrible movies ever. EVER. Beamacoitl or whatever that fags name was can suck a big one. Come on he is a giant mountain of shit with a mouth and some feelers, wtf is that? He reminds me of a zit possibly found on Sloths ass. Fucking awful, cant even describe it. It made me want to die. |
Big Love season two - 7/10
Good stuff here. They did a good job branching out and expanding some of the minor characters and introducing some new people. |
