Apparently Orange County officials tried to shut down WWE's production at the Performance Center multiple times over the past several weeks. WWE pretty much ignored the order each time.

For sure but if WWE thought they'd be able to get away from any real blame, that's already starting to not be the case.
Media has started to put both WWE resuming live events and this money from Linda into the public spotlight. Even ESPN that's been very friendly to Vince and WWE recently went after them for putting talent and staff at risk by resuming live shows. UFC probably very happy since now they are not getting the full brunt of criticisms and negative media attention. |
Seems whatever concerns Vince has with FOX and USA Network in regards to taped vs. live shows issues for contract reasons is something AEW doesn't have to worry about with TNT.

If other sports were running live I could see Fox getting pushy about the contract. But seeing as WWE is the only live sport they have atm, they'll let it slide.
USA won't do anything about this because they need WWE bad. USA has been tanking for awhile now. It's probably already be over for them if they didn't have WWE. They don't want to rock that boat. |
