Argentinian wrestling clips are always a good example of the mental dilemma "Am I culturally ignorant or is that actually as insane as it looks?"

Jordan 01-17-2020 01:13 PM

That's genius. Where is he going?

According to the Observer Newsletter, ticket sales for next weekend's NXT & NXT UK Worlds Collide event have been very weak or sluggish.

Same for next month's TakeOver event selling slower than usual for a TakeOver show but they still have a month to go for sales.

Similarly, the 2/16 Takeover show in Portland also has a weak advance. About 60 percent of the 100s that would normally be for sale are on sale, not including what you’d expect not for sale due to the stage. They are not opening up any other seats at this point for Worlds Collide. The secondary market get in price is $26 for lower level tickets.

Also seems the boost of being on FOX and running shows on Fridays instead of Tuesdays has benefited Smackdown a lot despite the quality of shows being very hit-or-miss since the move. Before they were averaging around half of what they currently are doing for shows.

Man, Konan looks frail. He took his hat off like he was going to retaliate. Think he realized he was better off just taking the slap.

Sepholio 01-18-2020 05:07 AM

Yep he knew he was on camera. Smart choice not to escalate that. Dude looked like he would have wrecked him anyways.

A friend of mine swears it was Psicosis who slapped him.

Sepholio 01-18-2020 04:34 PM

Well I mean it's in the title of the video too so theres a good chance it probably is.

Volare 01-18-2020 05:19 PM

I didn't watch that one, when I first saw it, it was on the What Culture news thing they do....so there sir. Lol

Fightful recently release their report on Tessa Blanchard's issues during her time with Women of Wrestling that collaborate the bully accusations and her bad rep of being a pain to work with in the indies.

She's pretty much become the Low Ki of women's wrestling when it comes to the amount of bridges she burnt and level of bad rep on the indies.

There was also a confrontation between Tessa and another top name in WOW, after weeks of tension that escalated into a verbal battle in front of others as well. It wasn't revealed who was at fault in that particular situation. There was another fairly public shouting match between Tessa Blanchard and Malia Hosaka, which led to Malia being the only person getting reprimanded, which some members of the roster saw as unfair. This also lead Alisha Edwards and Hosaka getting into a physical fight.

I'm guessing there will be high hopes for this documentary.

Not to defend Tessa using the racist language or anything, but the idea of her yelling at a trainer and making them cry is pretty...weird for pro-wrestling. I get that it's a PR/be conscious of feelings time period, and in most lines of work I am completely for it, but come the fuck on, lol.

Tessa may have had a point there.

Good stuff, I wonder if they had to negotiate with Martha and that's why it wasn't in the first season.
If they do this and Mass Transit they need to line up Abdullah giving people Hepatitis too.
Steroids and ring boys, Zumhofe and Sweetan incest, Grizzly Smith and his whole family and Hardbody Harrison sex slavery would all be prime examples of wrestling filth.

Is Hardbody Harrison the guy who was in the Louis Theroux wrestling documentary?

Steps in the right direction. Makes me optimistic for ROH's future. Between this, signing Scurll and Bandido, and doubling-down on that New Japan deal -- there are some good signs that Sinclair is starting to take things a bit more seriously.

Apparently FOX might have accidentally leaked the NXT surprise entrants for next Sunday's women's Rumble match.

FOX sent a tweet where you play a game by pausing a video and the superstar shown is your pick to win the Rumble match. Problem was they only included select women from NXT and not all of them, likely giving away the surprise entrants.

Potential NXT and NXT UK reps:
SPOILER: show

Shayna Baszler
Toni Storm
Tegan Nox
Kacy Catanzaro
Piper Niven
Io Shirai
Dakota Kai
Mia Yim
Bianca Belair

Would also confirm rumors of WWE splitting the Rumble match entrants close to the 10-10-10 split for the three brands.

Who will it be?!?

Press play & take a screenshot of this video to see who YOU'RE picking to win the women's #RoyalRumble match! Also likely did the same for the men's Rumble match in a different tweet.
SPOILER: show

Finn Balor
Tyler Breeze
Matt Riddle
Keith Lee
Tommaso Ciampa
Johnny Gargano
Kyle O’Reilly
WALTER
Pete Dunne

Mr. Nerfect 01-19-2020 08:15 PM

Well, none of those are at all surprising. Shayna is a pick to win. Toni Storm looks great and is going to be there that weekend. Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai can continue their feud and get a turn. Seems like a nice veteran spot for Mia Yim. Kacy Catanzaro will do her freak spots. Bianca Belair is someone they like that can get a bit of shine. Io Shirai is Io fucking Shirai and isn't Piper Niven huge? There's your monster.

But it could also just be that FOX randomly picked women and put them into a thing.

Jordan 01-20-2020 12:29 AM

Walter will face off with Brock

Mr. Nerfect 01-20-2020 02:59 AM

I hate it when the hard WWE truth comes through to spoil our fantasies on how things could actually be fulfilling to us.
