Didn't take long for Corey Graves to go back to acting like an annoying twat on social media again.

Mr. Nerfect 01-03-2020 08:29 PM

I can't remember when I crossed into disliking Corey Graves territory, but I feel deep in it now.

Bad News Gertner 01-03-2020 08:42 PM

Still working on my 1997 Raw re-watch. Just about to start the November 4th Raw which is the episode before Survivor Series. The Oct.27 Raw started with the Nation doing an in ring interview regarding their Locker room being spray painted with racist graffiti. The Rock gets some mic time and for the first time I see the Rock we'd get two years from now.

Other observations.

1.DX are so God damn easy to hate. I keep hoping the Hart Foundation kick their asses. Lol I feel like I'm 12.

2. You can really notice when Russo takes control. The shows are drastically different

3. Weird that they had the Hart feuding with DX and the Nation when all three are presented at heels.

4. Dude Love had a really short shelf life and wasn't nearly as over as I remember

5. Ahmed Johnson got so out of shape so fast.

Seanny One Ball 01-04-2020 04:55 AM

Dude Love was like Playboy Buddy Rose at the end of his career.

The guy on the left looks like a retarded Harold Ramis

Bad News Gertner 01-04-2020 08:03 AM

Haha yes he does.

Bad News Gertner 01-04-2020 08:05 AM

Lol at Jeff Jarrett cutting a promo with Jim Ross about Vince McMahon forcing him to be Double J and how we are going to see the real Jeff Jarrett.

6 months after the NWA thing flops guess who comes back

That's J E double F J A double R E double T

Ain't I great!

It was sad (though unsurprising) that Jarrett went into the HOF pretty much h having to keep playing up that character

Give me Slap Nuts Jarrett

Seanny One Ball 01-04-2020 10:46 AM

The best Jeff Jarrett was the one who assaulted women with guitars and put them in the figure four.
It was simple and hilarious.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-04-2020 12:01 PM

Don't Piss Me Off Jarrett was easily his best run/look.

Bad News Gertner 01-04-2020 12:12 PM

I had totally forgotten about his return in 97 where he cut this shoot promo on Bischoff/WCW for like 10 minute in the middle of the ring on Raw.

Yep, Jarrett hates Women was the best run and profitable.

and he beat the Undertaker on PPV.

It was mostly about Vince shitting on the Double J character which he went back to in 1998.

Why is a WWE employee/contractor tweeting this?

Just watched it. Good promo really. Jarrett was a great hand. Got heat, could talk, could work. Perfect gatekeeper heel.

Bad News Gertner 01-04-2020 02:26 PM

And then he does these backstage one on ones with JR like they did with Goldust and Foley.

This rewatch has been really interesting. It's a very overlooked year in WWF history.

Planning on rewatching the Timeline WWF 1997 Jim Cornette after I'm done the whole rewatch

Seanny One Ball 01-04-2020 02:59 PM

The worst Sid matches I've ever seen came from either 96 or 97. He had a match with Shawn Michaels where he seems to camel clutch him forever.

Seanny One Ball 01-04-2020 03:04 PM

The match he had with Bret around that time was actually pretty decent.
I seem to remember Shawn getting up far too quickly from a powerbomb outside the ring too. Like he was up after about ten seconds.

Damian Rey 2.0 01-04-2020 03:57 PM

The sit downs with Ross are great. It looked like they were priming Jarrett for some kind of upper mid card run. Was that around the time Austin shot down working with him after winning the belt?

Bad News Gertner 01-04-2020 04:33 PM

The sit downs with Jarrett were in the fall of 97 and I'm positive Austin nixed it then

Damian Rey 2.0 01-04-2020 05:28 PM

It was definitely around that time. Did some googling and about 6 months later Austin turned it down.

According to the Observer, both Tony Khan and Rocky Romero were responsible for putting together the AEW World title stip for the Jericho vs. Tanahashi at Night 2 of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Also if Tanahashi wins tonight, its a very good sign that talks between both sides regarding a potential partnership are going on since last he heard, this stip wasn't originally meant to lead to anything long term. It was only meant to simply spice up extra interest and hype for Jericho's match on the show.

Evil Vito 01-04-2020 09:59 PM

All 6 members of LIJ can be holding gold by night’s end...even though the 6-man belts are useless.

Wow. He's too old to be a wigger...

Sixx 01-05-2020 04:46 AM

The fuck is a pizump?

Seanny One Ball 01-05-2020 06:19 AM

It's the "pump", when your muscles grow in size during or after a workout.
Weightlifters are addicted to it.

Sixx 01-05-2020 06:21 AM

Well, but you can't explain "plizease". He's a 60 year old wigger.

Sixx 01-05-2020 06:23 AM

Holy shit, he's 66. Just a year younger than my dad.

Heard a very interesting theory on the Between The Sheets podcast

Apparently during the settlement with Tom Cole in the early 90's, Vince revealed he was molested as a child by his mother whose first name was Vickie.

Fast forward to Vickie Guerrero debuting

The reason why Vickie Guerrero was constantly humiliated because Vince was humiliating Vickie as a way to get back at his mother. Both his mom and Vickie spelled their name the same.

Pretty interesting

GD 01-05-2020 08:40 AM

Wasn’t that insinuated in his Playboy interview?

Seanny One Ball 01-05-2020 09:20 AM

Yeah that was a rumour I read a while back. I thought it was his step mother that molested him?
