Either WWE has some big plans for a potential WCW revival or their pettiness towards Cody and AEW has reached a new level.
They recently trademarked a ton of old WCW trademarks that they had abandoned years ago solely due to neglect and Vince's lingering pettiness towards WCW. Probably got tired of being made to look foolish after MLW managed to get the rights to War Games and Cody with Dusty created NWA & WCW ideas under their noses. Also have been trying to get all of the WCW trademarks Cody filed rejected and given to them instead. |

Apparently Teddy Hart made some threats towards MLW that could have resulted in cops getting involved.
After he got released, he threatened to show up at MLW's Opera Cup event last week but the tone of his threat was enough for MLW to threaten legal action against him if he did. Quote:

According to the Observer Newsletter, NXT is losing their over-run advantage over AEW starting next month and could potentially be permanent after the next season of Miz & Mrs ends.
For some reference, NXT usually averages between 150k-200k for the over-run and is usually worth an extra several thousand viewers for the overall average. Only really hurts them in the 50+ demo since that usually is the bulk of those viewers. Quote:

Based on some recent data crunching, WWE is currently estimated to finally break even from their lost PPV revenues caused by the WWE Network by 2025.

Probably the secret promotion Meltzer mentioned in the Newsletter since it would fit in regards to his indies booking being at a place ROH wouldn't approve if he was signed.
NWA did cut all ties with ROH several months ago due to some money and/or streaming related issues with ROH's Honor Club service I believe. |
