I’m pessimistic but I’m willing to give them more time for records to start to separate before bemoaning 50/50 booking too much. I don’t like how competitive every... single... match is though. Needs to be more guys just destroying people so that when someone takes them to their limit it actually means something.

Tag division likely will have the most parity in it just because of its full of good to great teams. Its not like with WWE where they only have a couple good teams and the rest of the division is filled with junk.

Also squashes have sort of become ratings killers in modern times mainly due to WWE poisoning the well with it. The first time AEW did one on Dynamite, it led to a sizable loss in viewers.

Talent-wise, WWE actually has better teams. Usos, Revival, New Day, etc.

And squashes might draw better if people cared about any individual team
to begin with. When everyone is competitive with everyone else, the whole draw of “competition” becomes worthless. Even if you’ve gotta lure people in to a surprise squash to start, sometimes there has to be a blowout to establish a hierarchy. If anyone is turning off WWE or just rejecting them completely, it’s not because of a lack of competitive matches. It’s because of a lack of stars. Build some fucking stars.

AEW has already established that Michael Nakazawa, Peter Avalon, Brandon Cutler and so far QT Marshall are jobbers. I don't remember the hybrid 2 winning any matches, either. So, it's getting there. They've been on tv a month or so. I'm willing to give them time to see them establish the hierarchy and keep slipping in jobber matches, like the one with Moxley and Nakazawa the other night.

They should have waited longer for both tag and women's championships. Jericho saying he is Le Champion would be stronger. Also, they don't have shit for tag teams or women yet.

Their tag teams are fine. I agree the women's division isn't great. But that have some girls they're building up. It's still really early. I'm not gonna shit on them for building things up.

Women’s division does leave a lot to be desired thus far. They’re kinda falling into a habit of just have one token women’s match a week rather than placing a whole lot of importance on it.

Yeah their women's division has been AEW's weakest link but it should slowly get better once they get more time under their belt to build things.

Supposedly it was mentioned during Starrcast that they were being hamstrung by visa-related and dates issues with their international talent and until very recently it was starting to get resolved. Same with them still signing new women talent to beef up the division.

Women's division should always be the weakest link though. Way too much women's wrestling in WWE at the moment.

Nah. If you build and focus properly, no reason at all why women's wrestling can't be as great as men's singles and men's tag wrestling especially in WWE.

Just takes a lot of time due to the historical disadvantages women have had in the US in wrestling. Only started to really turn around in recent years and not solely because of WWE.
