There were major concerns about money at this past week's set of TNA Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando, specifically with the production crew.

People in production were upset about being behind on pay and it was said that if they weren't caught up on pay by a certain point, they were going to walk out in the middle of last week's sets of tapings.

These threats clearly made their way back to TNA management as checks were issued to people and everything cooled off. There was a 24-hour period where there was a lot of tension backstage. As noted earlier, money is tighter than ever right now for TNA.

Batista once paid $100,000 because he bladed during WWE-PG.

Also, Daniel Bryan looks like he's putting up drywall every he time he does the "YES!" arm raise.

I hope I'm proven wrong, but I don't think Sheamus as United States Champion will fare very well, and I fear it may even dimimish the title's prestige even more than Ambrose not defending it more than perhaps a half-dozen times in nearly a year.

Honestly think maybe the best thing that could happen to the United States Championship would be to have it unified with Bad News Barrett's Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.

Jerry Lawler noted in a new interview with Bleacher Report that he's working on gathering the entire Memphis Wrestling tape library and is in talks with WWE about making the library available to the company so they can use it on the WWE Network.

To clarify Chris Sabin's TNA departure, he was offered a new deal but turned it down. He wasn't outright released. The deal was believed to be for less money than he had been making.

Katie Ryjavec, who been handling TNA's live event marketing and media buys, recently gave notice and will be leaving the company. She has been with TNA since 2011.

There continues to be concern within TNA about their future with Spike TV. There has been no new deal signed but the United Talent Agency is representing TNA in ongoing negotiations. Word is that UTA will be shopping TNA around to other networks instead of jumping right into a new agreement with Spike.

The belief is that he will be out of action for 6-8 weeks. At RAW last night, WWE officials were looking at SummerSlam for a potential return.

The injury came from years of Bryan working the in-ring style that he does, not just one instance. There were some people talking like the diving headbutt from the forklift & pallet at Extreme Rules may have furthered the injury but that hasn't been confirmed.

Regarding the status of the WWE World Heavyweight Title, the belief is that when they get done with surgery, if there's nothing too bad discovered then they will likely keep the belt on Bryan. If they get a bad report from surgery, then Bryan could be stripped. Obviously WWE could decide to keep the title on Bryan and then change their minds at any moment..

If they are smart, they will find a way to turn this into a fresh re-hash of the angle where they refused to let Austin wrestle.

I liked Raven during his time in the WWE. I liked him a lot. I thought he had a really cool look, cool theme, cool name, cool titantron, cool attitude, cool everything. His matches were great too. Even though he was a big name in the Hardcore division at the time, his non-Hardcore matches were quite entertaining too.

I liked the way he was really innovative when it came to Hardcore matches, bringing in bowling balls, shopping trolleys (cart), potted plants and even a Frankenstein Doll into his Hardcore matches. When he debuted in the WWF in 2000, I was 11 years old and I was familiar with who he was but I only knew him as being a "WCW guy" and that was about it. I didn't know at the time that he had a past with ECW and Hardcore Wrestling, so when it came to him having Hardcore matches in the WWF, it was all new to me and I thought it was great, and it made me love Raven more and more.

Then there was a period where he drastically changed his look. He had blonde dreadlocks, no facial hair and began wearing some kind of Kilt thing. I liked it, but not as much as his previous look, but it was still a pretty badass look. He also got a new theme, which again, was pretty badass to me at the time. I still list to it occasionally today, along with the theme posted above.

Then came his move to commentating on Heat, but that was pretty short lived. He was a pretty good commentator though, I enjoyed listening to him and he didn't have an annoying voice like some commentators do. Not long after that he was released.

I think one of my fondest memories of Raven during his time in the WWE, is his Hardcore match against Kane and Big Show at WrestleMania X-Seven. That was such a great entertaining match. It's stuff like that, that makes me miss the Hardcore Division. The Hardcore Division was a nice escape from your usual wrestling show of "good guy vs bad guy in the ring" thing. You would have just this random assortment of guys beating the hell out of each other in the most random places with the most random objects and the majority of the time, they would manage to insert a good amount of comedy moments into them, even though Hardcore matches are supposed to be these brutal serious matches.

Lord Alfred Hayes was freaking great as a heel manager.

Here he is in Florida managing Baron Von Raschke.

Raschke will always be one of my favorites. He and my late paternal grandfather were acquaintances years ago.

Ok, so I finally finished Timeline WWE 1984 Roddy Piper

I say finally because it's 3 and a half hours long. Piper rambles ALOT, tells stories that go nowhere and half is either b.s or incorrect. It's entertaining, but takes it with a grain of salt. His Lord Alfred Hayes stories are hilarious. Apparently Hayes had a giant cock andwould chase other wrestlers around the dressing room twirling it around with his hand.

Not the greatest timeline, but still worth a watch.

Nash might be in twice or as The Kliq and the nWo.

#1-norm-fan 05-13-2014 10:05 PM

I highly doubt "The Kliq" will ever go into the Hall of Fame as a group.

She really didn't accomplish much for me to see her as a WWE HOFer, although I know a poster on this board that says he would have put her in over Lita.

glad he and Kawada both went out on top. I still can't believe sometimes that Misawa is dead.

Those three put on some of the greatest matches of the 90's.

AJPW in the 90's was off the charts. They were kicking ass at a time when WWF and WCW had both fallen on their asses.
