I just got through Arcade on Hardest difficulty. I got a 30G acheivement and nothing else. I was expecting to get some artwork or a special video or something.

30g is pretty good tho.

I hate being able to do the best links on the computer or my brother, but absolutely failing to do anything really useful in a Ranked Match. None of my two-n-ones seem to come out, nor do I even go for them when the time is right. It's like I freeze up online, even against the scrubbiest people.

I get that to. I've not played a rank match but from time to time, in online competition on almost any game, my skills can just melt away. Other times, I can focus and have a good match up. Winning or losing doesn't matter as much to me as being able to actually pull off a good fight against an opponent.

It's a state of mind thing. I'm much too focused on winning I'm not concerned with getting to that point.

Me, RoXer, and Fignuts are having to trade spots to simulate a lobby. This is the stupidest thing I've had to do in an online game since... playing games online.

There is a patch coming out in a while. Maybe they'll fix it.

Finaly fucking beat Roxer. Of course he had Rufus, so I dunno If I wanna count that as a victory.

RoXer's Fei Long and Akuma are the ones to get at.

We had a supplementary session a while after our failed three-way, and for a few matches, his Akuma actually caused me to lose my cool. I did put Ken's forward-MK to some new-found usage, and standing Focus Attacks are becoming a normal part of my game. Now if only I could implement Focus Cancels in a useful way.

His Akuma is a god damn whore. Although my Gouken is getting better, to the point where almost every round was down to slivers.

His fireball barrage can be avoided (assuming that's your issue with him), granted you get over the fact that you have to alter a favored style of movement. I should thank him, he's teaching me to thank three times before a single jump.

That's why I stick to player matches. Even if I get really good, chances are I won't even break top 4,000, so I don't even bother with ranked.

You got the PS3 Version? Play me, that'll get you a few dozen or so wins.

Hopefully the Championship Mode Expansion Pack will fix at least some issues with PvP matching.

No. I'm a fighting game fan and I understand that I will succeed better with a stick than anything else in the long run, but I have never played fighting games more than casually. I have to practice rolls and the like just like plenty of other people.

And also, even if I was skilled with a stick, I probably would want to get warmed up to the feel of a new one.

God, it's probably gonna take me a whole day to unlock Cammy with Crimson Viper. What a pain in the ass to play with.

I'll be in the middle of EX Hooligan Throw and get Ultra'd. The worst part is the fucking Ultra because people will learn to do Ken's Ultra to compensate for sucking at the game. I'll whoop their fucking ass all round long, only for them to get rewarded for their shitty shotospam by I SPUN THE STICK AND PUSHED A BUNCH OF BUTTONS, SUDDENLY I'M WINNING!!!!1111!!!!

And every. God damn player. Is Ken. Or a shitty variant of Ken that they'll try to play like Ken. I got up to 850 BP, only to get knocked down by a procession of Ken-Ken-Gouken-Ken-Ryu-Gouken-Akuma-Ken-Ken-Akuma-Akuma-Ken. Toss in a few E. Hondas to HEADBUTTHEADBUTTHEADBUTT (and then he'll just highkick/sweep spam/panic when I get close), and you have me throwing the controller, punching shit and otherwise frightening my girlfriend.


God fucking dammit. I finally got the hang of countering Zangief's Magical Unstoppable Lariat, but I still get put down by zero BP newbie ass fucking scrub nigger "I CAN SPIIIIN THE STICK AND PUUUUSH THE BUTTONS" Ken players. It's one thing that he's so easy to use, but does the fucking Shoryuken need to have priority over every goddamn move ever, plus be pullable from wakeup, plus interrupt EX moves and Supers 9/10ths of the time? I mean, fucking really? Jesus Goddamn fucking tapdancing nigger fucking Christ.

And the Akuma players will usually set their Ranked matches to one round, so they can go spam crazy and by the time you've gotten their patterns down the entire fucking fight is over. And one round fights are worth as much as two out of three or three out of five, so one silly mistake on my part and HEY HEY HEY IT'S ULTRA TIME! You lose 70 BP, congratulations.

You're most likely giving scrubs too much credit in the match. Just relax and observe, you'll find that they are predictable scrubs who set themselves up for a fall more often than not. Keep that anger in check, you read like someone who lets his emotions run his game. Keep your Yomi level as high as 1 or 2 and you'll see how stupid these scrubs really are.

Me and Khuntry's latest session didn't end so one sided this time. My mental training and option-brainstorming helped me out. And my Ken seems more dangerous as a result. Awesome. And Cammy's finally getting at a level I want her to be.

My Sagat is still disgustingly beastly. I tend not to use him though if I can help it because beyond my being good with him, I also understand how strong he is in this version. My Gen is becoming VERY acceptable and I fucking love using him because you don't see a lot of him which makes him touch to defend. My Cammy is getting better. I'd like to have a decent Dhalsim but I just don't have the patience. I've also given up on my quest to become a strong Abel player. He plays too defensive/counter attack based for my liking and I get raped when I use him as result.

Also, fuck people who are actaully good with Abel. They make me hate life.
