They were also quite rude to Punk when they initially tried to recruit him. Punk’s no doubt got his side of the story.

There’s going to be jealousy involved in their bitterness, whether they admit it or not. I can see a bunch of people who consider themselves “artists” presenting themselves as people that can accept that jealousy and pretend that it’s not the factor others purport it to be. It’s not that Punk is a bigger star or better than them — they just wanted to do it their way.

Dave Meltzer doesn’t talk to anybody anymore. WWE talent shut him out because of his biases. And because WWE has likely gotten better about plans getting out anyway. I doubt Vince or Triple H are letting anyone know what plans are. There is also social media and more contemporary dirt sheet guys to share with. Meltzer doesn’t even break AEW stories. His most active role has been in spreading the “CM Punk is horrible” narrative.

A small price to pay.

I used to be that way, but when you do find someone’s posts so annoying you find yourself engaging with them to your detriment, it does make life easier.

When you come here to discuss something you enjoy and you have two guys non stop saying it stinks.. kindaaaaaaa ruins it. I would get rid of those people in my life too. If I enjoy playing hockey, who wants the guy on the team saying we stink and this sport sucks all the time? No thanks. Fuck off. Smell ya later. Borderline psychotic behaviour really. Guy we get it. It is really annoying when people come to a discussion board to discuss things. Especially when they are right most of the time.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with opposing views, Lock Jaw. It’s when someone’s toxicity and obsession ruins normal discourse for posters and discourages them from posting that the ignore function becomes necessary.
