He was sooooo bad.

Who Am I?

My first taste of "the big leagues" was a loss and that trend continued, during which, I appeared under a variety of different names. Under the name I'm perhaps best known for in this company, I debuted and was victorious over a former World Champion. My first loss happened on foreign soil.

Although I've not won any championships, not long after my debut, I did befriend two former champions of ECW, who I would later go on to have Tag Team matches with.

Matt Striker?

Awesome!

Also, still no correct answer for my "Who Am I?".

Ric Flair?

Jim Duggan

Big Vic 07-17-2015 01:41 PM

Another hint?

Cool King 07-17-2015 04:10 PM

Wrong. I'll be nice and give two hints.

More hints:

Under the name I'm probably best known by, 50% of my opponents were former United States Champions. I'm also no longer with the company but during my time, I never appeared on the "A-Show".

Blonde Moment 07-17-2015 07:40 PM

Tazz?

Bad News Gertner 07-17-2015 11:01 PM

I'm so terrible at Who Am I's. 411Mania does these all the time and I never get them.

DAMN iNATOR 07-17-2015 11:11 PM

Orlando Jordan?

Doug Basham?

Danny Basham?

I always feel proud of myself if I do guess them. That column is pretty amazing too. :y:

Mr. Nerfect 07-18-2015 01:33 AM

I found a guy that I feel came so close to meeting those requirements, but it turned out even this guy wrestled on the A-show.

Blonde Moment 07-18-2015 03:48 AM

kinda hard to find someone that hasn't been a hardcore champion :P

Cool King 07-18-2015 04:20 PM

You're all wrong so far.

Who was it? Because this individual has wrestled on the A-Show before, but not under the name he's probably best known for, and the name that I'm looking for.

Mr. Nerfect 07-18-2015 07:47 PM

I'll keep it in my back pocket, because I might use it for some trivia. But they don't fit the 50% US Champions as opponents either.

<font color=goldenrod>Gunner Scott?</font>

Evil Vito 07-22-2015 12:18 AM

<font color=goldenrod>The US champions hint made me think it couldn't have been someone around long if it was easy enough to figure out that half his matches came against former US champs. And since the US Title was on the blue brand for most of the brand split that kinda narrowed it down to obscure SmackDown wrestlers from the brand extension era.

The more I read up on it though, everything checks out:

-Wrestled job matches on Raw and stuff under Slater Vain, Brent Albright, etc.
-Beat Booker T in his Gunner Scott debut
-First loss was to Finlay in England
-Worked tag matches with Benoit (former ECW tag champ) and Matt Hardy (who would later go on to win the WWECW title)
-Was only around for like a couple of months, mostly wrestling against midcarders in the US Title scene including former champs
-Never wrestled on Raw as Gunner Scott

If it's not him I'm totally stumped lol</font>

Damn it, you nailed it, I bet. I was thinking of all those sorts of performers from that era, but I never came to him, for some reason.
