Being given game 6 of the western conference finals for having a more marketable team.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-14-2016 12:56 AM

Well its over the 95-96 Bulls meme is dead. Long live the new meme of the 15-16 Warriors.

Warriors won't make the finals so it'll mean nothing

Clerk 04-14-2016 05:30 AM

73-9? So what the Warriors are the only team that trys in the regular season. Let's see if they can beat a healthy cavs team in the finals cuz they barely beat them without 2 of their superstars

Ruien 04-14-2016 07:27 AM

Kobe scoring 60 is damn amazing. Even if the Jazz were not playing with playoff motivation.

Ruien 04-14-2016 07:28 AM

50 fucking shots. His body is going to be hurting tomorrow. But he has a long time to recover. Maan, I watched the first half and it just felt amazing. Wish I could have stayed up for the entire game.

Crimson 04-14-2016 01:47 PM

Wow you missed the ending. It was pretty amazing, it was vintage Kobe where he wouldn't pass just shoot, but the fact he kept making them to bring them back for the W was great. That along with the aftermath was something we very rarely see in sports. Not a Kobe or Laker fan but it was amazing

Bad News Gertner 04-14-2016 05:25 PM

I could score 20 points if I shot 50 fucking times.

Hope Kobe gets AIDS.

Ruien 04-14-2016 08:39 PM

Jazz should easily get in next year. Houston and Dallas will both get worse while the Jazz will keep improving.

Bad News Gertner 04-14-2016 08:53 PM

That's a looooong time away

Ruien 04-14-2016 10:08 PM

At least you are not a Bulls fan. I have like 4 years before they get anywhere with their rebuilding process.

Ruien 04-20-2016 08:28 PM

Hell ya. Tibs is the new Wolves coach. Can't wait to see this team play for the next 5 seasons.

Emperor Smeat 04-24-2016 08:55 PM

:D Cs game tonight was really good. Managed to tie the Hawks series after being down 0-2.

Crimson 04-24-2016 09:10 PM

Game 3 of the Celtics/Hawks was great too. Just casually tuned in the 4th quarter and became glued till the finish. I'll be watching the rest of that series fa show. Fun watching Thomas and Millsap

Ruien 04-24-2016 09:49 PM

Celtics are bound to become a top team again in the next 3 years. Brad Stevens is damn amazing and is only like 25 years old. Cs have their coach for the next 30 years.

Simple Fan 04-24-2016 09:55 PM

He does look 25 but he's 39. Good coach though and should be in Boston for a long time.

Emperor Smeat 04-28-2016 10:49 PM

:-\ Hawks took the series.

Cs had a few really bad stretches the past couple of games that ended up killing their chances.

Team was still entertaining to watch this season and another 1-2 good players away from being a possible legit contender.

Kinda feel sorry for Byron Scott, not like he had a bag full of top players to work with. Kobe shooting about 20% from the field isn't gonna be enough when the rest of your squad is almost completely bereft of big time experience.

McLegend 05-02-2016 10:29 PM

Good hire for The Lakers.

Bad decision for Luke Walton.

Droford 05-03-2016 10:33 PM

Holy fuck at Lowrys half court heave at the buzzer to tie the game in Toronto. Ridiculous

Ruien 05-03-2016 10:41 PM

And all I want to do is watch Golden State before I go to sleep. Wonderful

Droford 05-03-2016 10:46 PM

Then Toronto rolls over and plays dead in OT..way to go

ClockShot 05-05-2016 04:12 PM

Pacers & Frank Vogel part ways.

Emperor Smeat 05-06-2016 11:09 PM

Only quickly noticed it during the Thunder-Spurs game but ESPN stated this year's playoffs already has the most blow out wins and its only half-way done. Didn't notice if it was for all-time or just in recent years.

12 games so far while the previous holder was 11 games for the entire 2011 playoffs.

Ruien 05-08-2016 07:31 AM

I wish they would get rid of the first round of the playoffs. It's pretty pointless and just gets superstars hurt. See Cleveland last year and Golden State/Clippers this year.

Crimson 05-08-2016 09:48 AM

Lowering if to 3 games would be cool. But greedy owners just care about more more money, if it were up to them they'd have 13 game series

Emperor Smeat 05-10-2016 02:52 PM

Stephen Curry won the MVP award this season and also became the first ever to win it unanimously. Took all 131 first place votes with Kawhi Leonard in 2nd place and Lebron James in 3rd place.

ClockShot 05-10-2016 03:48 PM

That whole Golden State team should be the MVP. When was the last time there was a team that wasn't a "super team" that could jive like that and make history this season?

ClockShot 05-12-2016 04:13 PM

Scott Skiles resigns as Magic head coach after just 1 season.

Go ahead, Phil. Give him a call while you're at it.

Emperor Smeat 05-12-2016 05:47 PM

Apparently one of the biggest stories regarding Curry winning the MVP award is Lebron being salty because he got voted 3rd.

Praised Curry for winning but then took a few subtle pot shots at Curry, Leonard, and the voters for put them ahead of him in terms of their perceived "valuable" status. Basically implied Curry won because he's a better player than Lebron and not because he's actually more valuable for the team and/or league.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-15-2016 08:23 PM

I want to like Lebron James because he's a charismatic, interesting dude. But he comes across as incredibly petty. Like who fucking cares.

Ruien 05-15-2016 08:59 PM

Exactly. You would think after so many years in the league everyone would be use to it. Kind of like Kobe's screw everyone even my teammates mentality but he hasn't reached that point yet. Bringing a title to Cleveland will help but I don't think that is happening this year.

Emperor Smeat 05-16-2016 11:46 PM

Another game in this playoffs with the refs botching calls near the end.

http://abload.de/img/untitled-16fk30.gif
That got called as a timeout instead of either as a foul against the Warriors or travel against the Thunder.

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-17-2016 08:25 PM

Fuckkkkkkkkk

SlickyTrickyDamon 05-17-2016 08:26 PM

Damn you Nets!

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-17-2016 08:55 PM

Raptors playing their best basketball of the playoffs, still losing by 2 in the first quarter. No threat from the 3= this is going to be a rough series lol

McLegend 05-17-2016 09:14 PM

Yeah bitches

DaveWadding 05-17-2016 09:25 PM

The draft lottery is so rigged, even Dikembe Mutombo knew the outcome early.

McLegend 05-17-2016 09:31 PM

And as long as it is rigged in the Sixers favor I'm ok with it.

Ruien 05-17-2016 09:31 PM

Really hope Minn gets a nice piece to add to their roster. They already have enough stars just need a really nice player to put into the rotation.

Ruien 05-17-2016 09:32 PM

Sixers could get 5 more number 1 picks and still suck.

DaveWadding 05-17-2016 09:33 PM

Better the Sixers than the Lakers or the Celtics.

McLegend 05-17-2016 09:33 PM

That is a very good possibility.

Emperor Smeat 05-17-2016 09:59 PM

Good for the Sixers.

Happy that there weren't any shenanigans since the Cs got to keep their #3 pick spot.

When was the last time the NBA had a possible Cinderella-esque team in the NBA Finals, 09 with the Magic? 2000 with the Knicks in terms of seeds?

Raptors are #2 seed in the East but the way the media's treated them, you'd think they were a lot lower.

They also were only a game out of the first seed. Also played better against Conference teams than Cleve did.

Ruien 05-24-2016 11:15 PM

Fucking Thunder. Want Cleveland to lose forever but they will beat the Thunder.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-25-2016 09:23 AM

Droford what the actual fuck are you talking about you giant knob. How is the fix in against Cleveland? Lebron gets sneezed on and gets fouls in his favour. You do realize Toronto won 2 less games than the Cavs in the regular season and took 2/3 from them and neither team lost a home game? Don't be a jackass.

Toronto also didn't go to the line at all in the first half of game 4. Jesus Chris you're a twat.

ClockShot 05-25-2016 10:28 AM

Was not expecting Golden State to be in this position.

McLegend 05-25-2016 06:37 PM

Golden State has no energy. I think they can win game 5, but I'm not so sure about game 6.

I think Cleveland is fine though.

Ruien 05-25-2016 06:54 PM

Cleveland is fine. They just won't have a month to rest before the finals now.

Ol Dirty Dastard 05-25-2016 09:52 PM

Yeah I'm pretty sure (and this is before the shitkicking that is going on tonight) Cleveland will win. Not like Lebron hasn't given up 2 games in a row before and easily won the series before. I mean would love the Raptors to BAH GAWD shock the world but let's be realistic.

owenbrown 05-30-2016 11:29 PM

Biggest sign of the Cavs giving up was Lebron taking the 4th quarter off.

Warriors just need 1 more win to break another NBA record for most wins in an entire season & playoffs.

I am not saying it is going to happen, but if the Cavs get swept, it will be sad.

... well, I was KINDA right. They didn't shit the bed like game one. This was a whole new level of bed-shitting. It involved diarrhea and Exlax in the form of missed buckets and uncontested shots.

How the hell was this a competitive series last year with an injury-ridden lineup, but this year, a healthy team is getting their asses handed to them?

Suffering continues. Might as well wheel Mark Price back out there. At least age and a bum wrist will be a viable excuse for the piss-poor shooting.

Ruien 06-06-2016 03:06 PM

Because Golden State's second unit could beat half the leagues starters. They can't be matched. Wayyyy to deep with starters playing as backups.

McLegend 06-08-2016 04:39 PM

I don't care if Lebron is getting no help...Lebron put this team together, and he should deal with it and go win.

I'm tired of the cry for help people do for Lebron.

I'm on board with this if:

B. He gets bionic knees. So they never get injured again. And he plays 82 games a season.

C. The price is right.

I can't wait until you see for yourself how he operates. Can't play because of "general soreness"....sounds legit. Then talks about how hes expecting a max deal when he's a free agent. Decides how many minutes he plays and what practices he goes to. All of which will be communicated through a litany of his entourage but nothing from him directly to the coaching staff. In NY, this has major shit show potential.

Portland and Charlotte have also expressed interest in Howard, who declined a player option with the Rockets at $23.2 million.

The amount Howard is seeking isn't that far off from what he declined with the Rockets. However, the Rockets don't believe Howard was worth paying $23.2 million and wanted the 30-year old to take a contract at a reduced financial package.

Howard averaged 13.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game last season. Howard averaged just 8.5 field goal attempts per game, his lowest output since his rookie year of 8.3, in 2004-05.

While it looks like Plan A to get Kevin Durrant might not happen, really hope the Cs don't sign Howard as a Plan B. Not worth that kind of money nor the possible headaches he brings based on his time with the Rockets and Lakers.

Ainge already messed up his plans a bit with the somewhat poor draft recently mostly due to the lack of a quality big man he wanted for the #3 pick.
