He looks like an entirely different person. How long has his name been “Rusevig.” Could that be him getting ready to trademark something outside of WWE? Miroslav Barnyashev, or whatever his name is, doesn’t really roll off the tongue of western audiences.

Savio 09-08-2019 06:15 PM

Hey guys remember when Rusev got really over twice and WWE stepped on him twice?

#1-norm-fan 09-08-2019 06:15 PM

Think the “IG” is for Instagram. Maybe just “Rusev” was taken?

Emperor Smeat 09-08-2019 06:29 PM

Probably. The RusevBul name he uses on Twitter also seems to have been taken by someone else on Instagram.

Lock Jaw 09-08-2019 06:52 PM

Rusev's tank entrance still has to be one of my favourite Rasslemania entrances of all time, if only for the badass Russian national anthem

For as bad as ROH has been this year and people wanting NJPW to sever all ties with them, they have nothing on RevPro who have become a PR disaster within the past week.

RevPro is currently dealing with growing backlash following an incident at their recent Summer Sizzler event. A wrestler legit beat up a ref after the finals of their tag tournament match due to it ending in a botched pin. Instead of handling the problem right away, RevPro tried to sweep it under the rug only for that plan to backfire badly.

Then RevPro got called out for lying about what happened despite videos debunking their claims. Also still seem to be unwilling to help the ref who's career and soccer ref career is now in serious doubt due to the injuries he suffered.

To make things even worse, once RevPro managed to actually fire the wrestler repoinsible for the mess, the wrestler posted DMs from the owner/booker showing that he knew all along about what really happened and was pissed at the ref for going public. Also showed that the apology given was insincere.

That just sounds awful and ten times worse than the fan / Bully incident.

WWE can't make up their mind on Kofi

Watching an episode of 1992 Superstars. They announced Savage / Warrior for SummerSlam, now have them going face to face and Ric Flair comes out. So crazy.

Ol Dirty Dastard 09-09-2019 09:09 AM

and that time was a huge downturn for the business, which is mindblowing.

Flair cut a promo on Warrior telling him that Savage was trying to get Mr. Perfect to manage him at SummerSlam, so now Savage and Warrior don't trust each other and are cutting increasingly paranoid coke fueled promos on each other.

1990-92 WWF is a complete blur. I've seen so little of it just mainly because it's really bad. Everyone is too juiced up, Hogan is unbearable and everyone had overstayed their welcome. The territories were dead so it was the same tired, old faces. I actually like 93 WWF more than 90-92 just because it was different.

According to PWI, two NXT wrestlers are currently rumored to be making their main roster debut at tonight's 205 Live show in MSG.

The rumored wrestlers:
SPOILER: show

KUSHIDA and Jordan Myles (ACH in the indies)

I still think it’s so surreal there is a show for cruiserweights and it has been going for about three years now.

On a recent episode of Grilling JR, the AEW announcer mentioned how there was a perception by some about Punk’s body during his time in WWE. While most people inside the company didn’t really have much of an opinion on Punk and his body, some weren’t exactly a fan of how his body looked, according to Ross. In his view, Ross thought such opinions were not really valid given that he was blossoming into one of the company’s top stars during Punk’s time there.

“Only a few guys thought his body was not good. I remember someone saying his ass is too big and it’s too soft. It’s like, wait a minute, what are we doing here? The crowd is telling you that this guy’s over. Our job is to put an ass in every seat in the stands,” Ross said.

When podcast co-host Conrad Thompson asked Ross who actually thought Punk had a “soft ass,” Ross revealed that it was Triple H who said it.

“Hunter [said that remark]. It was all about how you looked in a workout or in an 8” x 10.” He’s not going to look the same because he is not the same. If all you’re going to do is put out androids that all look alike, then what do you got? You got no individually. I think the consensus was that he may not be in great shape because he is soft. I thought his softness, as far as his ass was concerned, was a non-issue in my view. The perception was that he had an oversized, soft ass, silly as it sounds. It doesn’t make any sense. But he fought through that bullshit and became the star that he was,” Ross said.

Based on a recent interview from Triple H, seems WWE's plans for 205 Live's future is to eventually merge it into NXT and no longer be its own dedicated brand and show.

Quote:

You’ll start to see 205 begin to. I think it always existed as an island onto itself, a little bit, and it’s become lost in this limbo. You’ll begin to see it move more towards the NXT banner and the talent there. We have a lot of talent. For them to begin to compete either open against anyone or in the cruiserweight division, but have that title sit under the NXT brand is more meaningful. It creates more opportunities for more people.

Also seems WWE is gutting some of NXT UK's star power in order to boost NXT for the weekly live move since both Pete Dunne and Toni Storm are currently planned to be heading to NXT.

GD 09-11-2019 02:45 PM

Finally some good news.

Is 205 Live even considered “main roster”?

The show is under the WWE banner and featured on WWE branded PPVs and Network specials.

XL 09-11-2019 02:57 PM

True.

Yes since it started off as being a part of RAW due to the division being drafted there when the current Brand Split Era started.

Then the division got its own show meant to be a supplement to RAW but eventually became its own brand due to Vince's neglect.

I believe it became a separate entity after the firing of Enzo Amore.

Rockstar Spud was announced as the GM around that time.

Recent rumor going around the net hints that WWE is currently considering Michael Cole to become the new lead announcer for Smackdown while Vic Joseph takes over as the new lead announcer for RAW.

Trying to make the ratings even worse, eh.

Cole to SmackDown was something I expected. It was him, Reigns and Rousey to SmackDown that were the no brainer moves. Vic Joseph got a tryout for something. I wonder where Tom Phillips goes? Third man on SmackDown or Raw? Doesn’t seem a good place for him, because he plays the lead.
