I cant believe I supported Tazz Dan 4 mod and he is locking all these threads.

CSL 03-01-2011 05:15 PM

I can't believe he's a mod full stop.

CSL 03-01-2011 05:15 PM

"Period". Always baffles me whenever a fellow English person uses 'period' instead of full stop.

Sorry if it's been shared before.

The Pope 03-01-2011 09:11 PM

Hyping a TNA Wrestling promotional event in the UK, Borash wrote yesterday morning, “United Kingdom TNA fans … HUGE news coming in the next 24hrs. Stay tuned.”

The fan, Ian Gregory, replied minutes later, “hope your put the UK fans out of their misery and take this **** off the air over here @TNADixie.”

Approximately an hour later, Gregory received a private message from Borash’s account that read “I hope your whole family dies.”

The message upset Gregory because his parents are already dead.

NXT Season 4 Finale
SPOILER: show
Johnny Curtis wins Season 4. Curtis and R-Truth won a guaranteed tag team title match.

Brodus Clay had a promo after basically saying since WWE broke his dream, he wants to break the fans and their heroes dreams. Possible new member of the Nexus/Corre?

Season 5 set for next week unless Todd Grisham made a botch with the final line.

Volare 03-02-2011 11:12 AM

So I figured that someone would've made a thread right now dedicated to the debut and dominance of Aurora Rose. And how long till Taker jobs to her.

Volare 03-02-2011 12:58 PM

Off the front.

Season four NXT rookie Derrick Bateman posted the following on his twitter…

"Heading to Birmingham to get my knee scoped. “It ain’t ballet.”

Wonder if that's why he got "eliminated"

Mjdiesel 03-02-2011 03:01 PM

Was Pat Patterson's legacy ever overshadowed by....

the shit stained undies angle he did often in the Attitude era?

I'm serious, Patterson was a big deal as a wrestler and deserves his acclaim sure, but everytime I think of him I think of

HIM retired with simulated (I would hope) shit stained undies that he would threaten to smear people with.

Not cool. Am I alone in this that that angle etched into people's mental landscape when thinking of the name Pat Patterson?

Personally that's not how I'd like to see the man go out

whiteyford 03-02-2011 03:05 PM

Can honestly say it never crossed my mind. I remember him for his historic tournament win to become the 1st ever IC champ, classic match.:shifty:

Mjdiesel 03-02-2011 03:12 PM

And why exactly was the topic moved. Is Your Hero that paranoid? Don't get it. I guess he thinks the CIA is after him if a mall security guard stares him down too.

Tazz Dan 03-02-2011 03:14 PM

I moved it cock. It was a pointless thread, and the reason we have this one.

CSL 03-02-2011 03:15 PM

You've purposely been a bit of a cock lately but at the same time, there really is no need for half of these threads to be moved or stickied. Doesn't have anything to do with YOUR Hero though.

He asked (albeit in a pretty juvenile way) whether what Pat Patterson did during the Attitude era affected his legacy, whether he meant it to be serious or whether he was trolling. Sure it's not the greatest topic ever and there probably wouldn't have been many responses, not many people really seem to care about Patterson etc but 1. others are capable of seeing past a stupid first post and having some variety of discussion and 2. Who the fuck are you to decide what's worthy of a thread or not. Mods acting like dickheads and dismissing it because the poster is a bit shit doesn't help anything. Would it really do TPWW so much damage if the thread would have gotten minimal responses and slowly slid down the page? Would it have hurt you to have changed the first post a bit to something not so dumb?

Lock Jaw 03-02-2011 03:24 PM

So what? We change the posts and still get called out on mod abuse? Or the other option is to just let those sort of threads continue and wait for 3-4 weeks till everyone is complaining again because the forum is shit and full of stupid threads? There's only so much shit that can slide down the page before it's filled with it.

What's wrong with what I asked---it shows bias.

Here's how it works here now:

"Post a thread, but if you say something that I personally disagree with, you will not be able to freely express yourself even though it offends no one. I'm going to exude my authority because I can".

That's the feel of this site now. You can't say anything or you'll get flamed if there's anything pre-existing bias/misunderstanding with someone that you belittle for holding grudges, but it's seemingly ok to erase/manipulate messages by those whom you hold grudges against, unabashedly and nonchalantly.

Yeah, makes sense...

Tazz Dan 03-02-2011 03:42 PM

Oh, and who the fuck are you to decide what's worthy of a thread? Who are any of us to decide? Is your opinion more valid than mine? Not being a "Dickhead", but just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean everyone else doesn't either.

Mjdiesel 03-02-2011 03:46 PM

Apparently that never happened?
"Not cool. Am I alone in this that that angle etched into people's mental landscape when thinking of the name Pat Patterson?"

No one asked this before. They must have something to prove. That's the mentality some people have. That's not my agenda, and if you think otherwise i don't know what to tell you. Maybe think twice before judging me as paranoid though.

Here I was not condoning the man's legacy while in between the lines asserting bluntly that I am a casual observer.

"Personally that's not how I'd like to see the man go out"

What an asshole I am for addressing the elephant in the room (WWE's penchant for exploiting superstar legacy's for the sake of them either still wanting or needing a paycheck, or because they really think all of us as wrestling fans don't remember things and simply won't care.

Why build someone up if you're going to shit on them in 20 years? And yes, I know there are no guarantees in life.

Who gives a fuck if you 'get called out on mod abuse'? If somebody that is quite clearly being a dickhead is offended by something a mod does, everybody else will see this for what it really is. And there should be shit threads, I don't feel like discussing half the stuff that talked about on here. So I just don't. It's that simple. This wouldn't be any different if I was a mod. And Supreme, Hasney etc are quite capable of deleting or moving the actual idiotic threads, so of course the forums wouldn't be 'filled with it'. You seem to think I'm aiming this at somebody else as well as you.

It's common sense you muppet. Pat Patterson was a pretty successful wrestler and everybody knows who he is. There have been threads about much less. Some people, (not many like I said, I doubt there'd have been many responses) might have liked to talk about Pat Patterson. You only shit on the thread because it was posted by mjdiesel and he's 'not a very good poster'. If that same thread had been posted by Inno, WWKD, Noid etc, you wouldn't have gone near it. It's almost like what you do as a poster, let alone as a mod, is based on how you think other posters will perceive it instead of actually having a clue or a thought of your own. But this isn't really anything I haven't said to you before.

Emo Punk.

Though they should have included the SES mask instead.

From PWInsider:

WWE also registered "Sheriff Austin". This may just them re-registering the trademark that they originally registered in 2004 (but abandoned last year) or it's part of a new nickname for Austin they will use for merchandise. They have been re-releasing some of his older shirts on their WWEShop website in anticipation of his return

Watching Rey & Eddie against Blitzkreig and La Parka.

I've been enjoying Sid talking after powerbombing now, but if he ruins this match... Well fuck.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-03-2011 12:14 PM

Holy shit. Crowds been pretty dead, but Berlyns debut is giving him mad heat.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-03-2011 12:50 PM

Lol, I love how Nash both insults and defends Russo there.

Finally catching up on the last few weeks of news notes and RAWs. By gawd the HHH/Taker program is getting off to a great start. I really enjoyed The Games speech. Hope the rest of the matches get at least half the attention.

Check out this little tidbit about DDP and the Hulkster, brother that i just read online.

"Rock On Films is currently in development on a thriller titled BLACK RIVER. The film will star former professional wrestlers Hulk Hogan (ROCKY III) and "Diamond" Dallas Page (THE DEVIL'S REJECTS). Check out a promotional poster for the flick below. Here is the synopsis:

After losing his son to a tragic accident, Clayton Elie's life was destroyed by alcohol abuse and violence that ended his marriage. When he moves to the small Midwestern town of Black River in an attempt to begin again, he finds himself at the center of a series of murders that echo a long dormant secret from the town's past. After several sleepless nights that lead to a long night of heavy drinking and a subsequent blackout, Clayton awakens the next morning to find his neighbor and her small child brutally murdered and the murder weapon inside his apartment. When he is forced to hide the evidence by the untimely arrival of an FBI profiler, Clayton's life rapidly deteriorates into a storm of violence, murder and small town intrigue. Is Clayton a cold-blooded killer, or the victim of a malevolent force that has descended upon the town of Black River?

So Page is set to star, but the real news is that Hogan will be playing a serial killer. Pretty cool. The film is directed by Joe Eckardt off a script by Eric Anderson. That's all we know at this point, but I'll be keeping tabs on this one."

I can't wait.

Not really. Pretty sure this was when Austin wasn't allowed to touch anybody without 'physical provocation' and Triple H 'knew this'. This just made people want to see Austin kill him. Wrestling booking 101.

I don't mean the actual promo, just his face made him look kinda weak...he looked like he was either holding back laughter, or...I don't know what.
