Got it on iPad. I don’t use the network on desktop. It’s just the Network app now (instead of the WWE App) which is good as you’d get spoilers just trying to log on.

Not yet.

That had as much to do with the size of Hogan's arms being around three times wider than Richard Belzer's neck as it did with him being coked out.
Still cracks me up how fast he goes completely limp. |
WWE shouldn't have paid that idiot a penny either, he was begging Hogan to do it.
I bet he would have lost the court case. |

Pretty cool story I found about Piper.
Wrestler Stabbed (Syracuse Post-Standard; August 5, 1982) RALEIGH, N.C. – Professional wrestler Roddy Piper was stabbed in the chest Tuesday night by a fan of another wrestler who had defeated Piper earlier in the evening, police said. Piper, 31, who police said often plays the role of “bad guy” in the ring, was treated for the chest wound and a hand injury and released about 2 a.m., according to Wake County Medical Center officials. William Isom, 43, or Hartsville, S.C., was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, police said. Piper said a man confronted him in a stairwell at the Raleigh Civic Center and began shouting obscenities while slashing at him with a pocket knife and that he picked up a pipe to defend himself, police said. |
He lost and got stabbed, that's heat.
They acknowledge his gimmick without breaking kayfabe. They never mention the other guy's potential injuries and I'll bet my house that Piper got at least two good swings at the guy with that pipe  More old rasslin news articles please |

Not even WWE's Network specials are immune to them pulling off bait-and-switches these past few months.
Abruptly pulled the Nakamura vs Balor match from tonight's Smackville special and waited till about 30 minutes before the special aired to make the announcement. |
Smackville was a very skippable show.
A good but meaningless match between Ali & Nakamura, an Elias segment that went on too long, Elias vs Owens match that barely had the crowd reacting, and a good but also meaningless match between Kofi, Ziggy, & Joe. |
Randomly turned on my tv and ROH was airing on my local FOX station - but that's not what this post is about - the first commercial during a break was for NUGENIX.
Can any wrestling show escape Frank Thomas and NUGENIX?? |
Watch Ron Fuller's Southeastern Wrestling for world class vintage ad breaks. The wrestling is very poor it has to be said.
|
I watched Booker T's promotion on the FITE Network once and it had local Houston adds for getting your windows fixed and bail bondsmen to get you out of jail.
|
Dragon Lee busted open one of the the Briscoes in this tag match and ROH has blurred his face out now while he is wrestling.

I feel bad both bad for Renee that people are mean to her and I also think she is bad on commentary (I think the same about Corey Graves). RAW commentary team so dreadful...

Here’s the truth. I know im not great on commentary, but it’s my job. I try to get better each week. Still think she's gonna walk when her deal ends.
|
Her commentary isn't that terrible but at the same time, she never should have been rushed into the main booth to begin with. She still hasn't found her groove yet as a commentator and both Cole and Graves are completely useless at providing any real help for her, especially Graves.
She would have been better off learning the job by working with Mauro or Tom Phillips instead. |

In a "WWE Did You Know" type fact, WWE once considered the idea of having an evil mailman gimmick for a wrestler.
The reason it never happened was due to something happening to the contract for the person they wanted for the role. Was revealed by PWI in one of their Q&A articles this past week. Quote:

I still think quite a bit of this is in-ear micromanagement. I can almost hear her being told "say this sound byte" almost everytime she opens her mouth to say anything other than "OH!" and she uncomfortably shoehorns in something after either the moment has passed or just some inane drivel. If she were able to just go and play off of the guys more or actually speak on the match happening like a human goddamn being - which again isn't just a Renee problem - she'd be fine. As popular as it is to bag on Michael Cole over the years, you have to admit, he was tolerable on "A Beast In The East" (where Vince obviously didn't give a fuck) and the post-production stuff with Tazz on the Smackdown run (where Heyman re-edited the show after the fact). I'd wager most of the people they stick in the booth would be better off left alone, unless they're just gawdawful about the product like Adamle or just utter shit and beyond help. She started off better than Graves was when he started, but he wasn't just thrust into the "flagship" after calling a couple of NXT shows; he was able to thankfully spread his wings in NXT for a long while, where he pretty much sucked in the beginning but was allowed to suck and practice and get coached to get better. She'd prob'ly shine on ESPN, provided they don't do another sweeping, fire sale of a housecleaning and turn the network into "all Scott Van Pelt all the time" again. |
