* Rey gives the Belt to Joe.

* Joe in his first title defense loses clean to Ricochet.

* On Monday Joe attacks Kofi and is now probably the #1 contender.

slik 06-25-2019 03:51 PM

I'm fine w/ Kofi vs Joe, just a funny way to get there

That pretty much answers the question last night's Rewind-A-RAW episode had for how this new edict would affect live crowds.

Figured it was going to be terrible since WWE put no real thought beforehand on how this would actually work.

Joe went from being a monster and coming across as a credible threat to Lesnar to losing random matches to midcarders. I can relate to how you feel.

Rumor going around the net is that Tozawa might have left WWE.

Basis is a tweet he made (and then deleted) after yesterday's 205 Live episode and his WWE contract expiring this month.

Emperor Smeat 06-26-2019 02:58 PM

Apparently the reason for Baron Corbin's big push in WWE is due to Vince thinking women fans find him to be really attractive and "swoon" over him.

Evil Vito 06-26-2019 02:59 PM

IIRC William Regal had reached out to Balor prior to him even being signed cautioning him against using a lot of crass language on Twitter because WWE had started monitoring that stuff

EVOLVE's upcoming 10th anniversary event was announced to be the first indies event to air live on the WWE Network.

Besides WWE honoring EVOLVE's influence on the company's roster, they are also using the event to directly compete against AEW's upcoming Fight for Fallen event and similar to when NXT was used to compete against ROH shows.

WWE has been working on a handshake agreement with EVOLVE for several years, finally officially signing a contract to put their relationship in writing several months ago.

“EVOLVE was the birthplace for many current WWE and NXT Superstars, so it is only fitting that their 10th Anniversary Celebration will be showcased live on WWE Network,” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, said in an official press release supporting the event (see below).

The timing of the EVOLVE broadcast would put it head to head with AEW's Fight for the Fallen, which will air live on Bleacher Report Live on Saturday 7/13 as well.

Emperor Smeat 06-26-2019 05:43 PM

Turns out Tozawa isn't leaving which could mean the rumored expiration dates for the other CWC guys are off by a considerable amount.

All depends if they recently signed new deals that haven't been announced yet or if their contracts were converted over into main roster ones despite the status of the division and 205 Live in general. The initial contracts they signed were for 3 years in length which would start expiring this summer.

In addition to Rusev, there's mutterings of Balor, Orton and The Hardys having expiring deals too.

Yikes. Last year's crowd was around 2500 for some comparisons. Even the post-PPV TV taping the next night had a bigger crowd than what this year's event could end up with.

Worst is if it follows a similar drop to last year's PPV and TV taping, could be looking at a crowd in the 200-300 range for the TV taping the following night. Haven't checked anything about that taping so no clue if its actually trending towards being potentially that bad.

Apparently a recent indie event in Indiana managed to trigger a health scare from authorities due to the risk that HIV and/or Hepatitis C might have been spread into the crowd from wrestlers who got busted open during the show.

Pro Wrestling - Trainwreck produced the event. Co-promoter John Glenn said he believes the health department is calling for the testing as a precaution. He said none of his wrestlers were positive for any blood-borne pathogens. He said he thoroughly made sure all of their paperwork was in order before the Sunday event.

Glenn said the most severe injury occurred during a maneuver in which a wrestler was slammed through a door with a glass pane. The wrestler’s buttocks were supposed to shield the blow, but instead, his upper body was lacerated. The performer is out of the hospital and ready to wrestle again, Glenn said.

However, Glenn said his company has suspended wrestling operations in New Albany after the incident.
