I assume this costume will undergo some changes, but it looks neat!

The cowl has a Judge Dredd helmet kinda feel to it.

Its ok. I dont love the thickness of the cowl but its whatever.

Does the bat symbol look like it's made of gun parts to anyone else? Maybe the gun that killed his parents?

I think if it is actually a good movie and gets good reviews/word of mouth it will do good.

This is the event that is expected to lead into DC's much mentioned 5G era (fifth generation era) of superheroes, with all the DC major heroes aging and being replaced by newer and younger characters. The rumored list is below in spoilers if you haven't seen it.



These changes have been rumored to come from Warner Bros, who said DC Comics major characters are not diverse enough, too male and too white.

To appease older fans DC expects to write non-canon stories starring the traditionally known characters for their Black Label line, per BleedingCool.

Green Lantern Season Two has been changed from 12 issues to 8 issues as DC needs Grant to end his story in 2020 because they have 'other plans' in 2021.

DC's Free Comic Book Day will release "Generation Zero: Gods Among Us" which will hint at the massive changes to come in the DCU. Cover below:

DC has also announced it will begin publishing GENERATION books to reveal the secret history of the DC Universe that is leading to biggest change to come.

Very optimistic of you. One major issue tho. Good movies flop all the time.

Yeah, but not good movies with Batman.

Batman is still a very popular character. Even if people hated Ben Affleck and the DCEU, they'll still go out in droves to see a new Batman movie if they hear it is good.

Batman I expect to do just fine at the box office.

He's Batman. Matt Reeves will deliver something pretty kick-ass.

And those films (and the ones without him barring Wondy) have damaged the brand

Hence the complete reboot. Aquaman, coming off the stench of Justice League, did pretty well.

The director has a strong track record. Pattinson has come a very long way from his Twilight days, the last of which will have came out 9 years before this movie is released.

Michael Keaton was the absolute last choice for his Batman film. Turned out just fine. If the film is good, people will go see it. Batman still sells.

Pattinson is great, I've never seen Twilight.

The Batman is rumored to based upon Batman: The Long Halloween, which would make sense with everything we know so far. Early in Bats existence, but not an origin.

Hell of a story too.

I was excited the minute Reeves got the gig. I've liked all his films so far. His Ape movies were top notch.

Random update: as of now 54% of BOP viewers have been men. IE more men have seen it than women. Amusing.

Undersexualizing Quinn and rating R took the teenage boys out of the market which is a big hit

I was gonna say about how I didn't even know/realize it was rated R until I went to see it.

Was thinking about the Harley Quinn show and how good it is, but remember thinking "too bad they can't be as violent and foul-mouthed in the movie"

Demographics got little to do with the box office, since men's money ain't different from a woman's money.

*Nobody* likes that rhetoric, including women.

I like this -- I could see the cape being CGI.

(keep in mind set pics from Black Panther in Civil War, Spidey in Homecoming and Cap Marvel people thought the suits looked bad....but they all looked great on camera...plus this is clearly a stunt guy and not Robert Pattinson)

Seriously, Superboy was one of my fav books at the time.... And then DiDio came in, threw away the setting and supporting cast and changed everything, and it sucked Big time.... Was canceled shortly after.....

Yeah, all those who have been petitioning for it for 2 years are just gonna end up going "Oh yeah..... Zack Snyder..... now I remember" and like the theatrical cut more.

Its like...you saw the films he made yeah? You realize that the version we got was 85% his...right?

In retrospect it should really have been The Flash beating up Wonder Woman.

I wonder what the missing 15% will be filled with.
Probably more stuff that DC heroes shouldn't be doing anyway, almost certainly something that will ruin another memory.

I'm one of the few who liked Justice League as it was..... Certainly wasn't the best and nowhere near what a Justice League movie could be.... but I liked it.

I think others are just holding out hope that the 15% will make them like it. Then be angry when it doesn't.
