Ratings be damned. The Observer Award results are in.

Tony Booker of the Year (obvs), AEW Promotion of the Year (obvs), Weekly show of the Year is Dynamite (obvs).

Proof that Dave isn’t all pro-AEW, WWE also won some awards: worst promotion, worst weekly show for Raw, etc.

WWE got every "worst" award. How RAW is rated the worst weekly show over Rampage is insane.

I think the only good award WWE got was best gimmick for Sami Uso.

They claim the observer awards are voted on by fans. I'm calling shenanigans on that. Fans may get to "vote" but their votes don't matter and Meltzer just puts out his personal list.

2 is why I wouldn’t be throwing streamers around yet (although 1.028 isn’t exactly an amazing number in the first place). Attention isn’t approval. You have to make your artificially inflated audience come back.

They could very well be voted on by fans.... but the fans who care about the observer and care about voting in it's awards would be fans who would be heavily pro-AEW

There was about 2000 votes. 2000 votes from people so dumb they willingly give Dave Meltzer $13 a month. Those are not people who have reliable opinions.

Thats not a point of concern for AEW. WBD isnt bailing on sports in some sort of point of moral objection to athleticism or anything. WBDs broadcast partner Diamond Sports is going under making their stake a money pit.

lol so the claim about dynamite bringing in 4 million viewers has been clarified. They counted every TV that was tuned into to TBS from 7pm until midnight for at least 1 minute. They literally counted a bunch of people that didn't even watch a single second of dynamite. Such bullshit.

No, the 2000 or so people who pay Meltzer are the biggest Smarks ever. The last and only time they voted WWE as promotion of the year happened to be the 2 years those Smarks decided WCW was the evil overlord and WWE was fighting back as the underdog.

Winning those awards is an admission that they are not the best, just that Smarks are gonna vote for the lesser than.

I didn’t have any doubt that the numbers were fudged, exaggerated or complete bullshit. Those sorts of lies don’t help anyone. But hey, I guess they are desperate for some positive attention, so they’ll just make it up.
