I wonder if AEW landed on VICELAND if that would be seen as a big time spot? It's become a basic cable channel I believe so most people do have it, I mean my parents have it... direct tv now has it on the basic list... It's a dope channel (lol).

I just want to say aloud on the internet ....
Thank god we have Jim Cornette. |

ROH is on a basic cable channel and it's virtually nothing.

For a person who was already in hot water with ROH management over them hating his "invading" spot at G1 Supercard and the negative fan backlash it generated, posting a video trashing both ROH and NJPW was a really dumb decision.
For some reference, neither him nor Cass are signed to ROH contracts and seems ROH no longer has any interest for them to work in more shows. Quote:

I could see WWE treating the end of September almost as an entire 'relaunch' of sorts.

This sounds like fuzzy math to me...

This should finally shut up all the people who rush to defend how the 1 million less live viewers from this time last year all must be watching some other way.
Some are, sure. Some just quit watching altogether. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">In Q1 2019, WWE AVOD video viewing (on platforms like YouTube) declined QOQ, the first time that's happened since 2016. <a href="https://t.co/D6QKlhw9Oc">pic.twitter.com/D6QKlhw9Oc</a></p>— Brandon Howard Thurston (@BrandonThurston) <a href="https://twitter.com/BrandonThurston/status/1121427499295150081?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 25, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

This is good news however, (imo) social media is the easiest and most visual way to grow the brand.

Summary of Conference call:
* WWE down about 8 million $ from last year. * Vince blames lower attendance, merchandise sales, network subscriptions,tv ratings and youtube views on top stars being out of action. * Network will be relaunched w/ tiered pricing before end of 2019. Fans possibly have option to vote for HOF/buy tickets early at most expensive tier. * Vince was glad Ronda helped elevate the women's division during her time in WWE, it was what he hired her to do. |

I understand the method of house shows. I get it. At the same time, it's the same old predictability that goes on. The Attitude Era had title changes THAT STUCK on some of those house shows. Don't give the same matches that people see on TV. Run mini tournaments to where someone faces a champion at the end of a show.

I think that's a good idea @Splaya
I think it would also help if tickets were less expensive. I know WWE really has racked up the cost of the best seats, even for house shows. If someone wanted to bring their kids and try to get their kids into WWE it'd be pretty expensive and easier to just take the kids to The Avengers, which is less expensive. |
