Prob'ly had Alicia Fox booked and didn't pay attention until the last minute.

Foxy hasn't been used since the Arn incident.

I saw fox was at hof but that's it wonder when her contract is up

I actually thought RAW would be good for him, now that SD is so loaded he really could have had a chance to grow into a upper-mid card/main-event heel on RAW.

Prob lost in the shuffle now, but we'll see.

They could explain 'storyline-wise' they were traded for Samoa Joe, voila~!

For a short-lived makeshift team, Black and Ricochet did quite well for themselves.

But I'd rather they end on a high note than be weighed down by stagnant Raw tag division booking, so I'm down with them splitting early.

slik 04-22-2019 04:27 PM

I wonder if The Uso's will feud w/ The Revival or Zack Ryder/Curt Hawkins

Evil Vito 04-22-2019 04:33 PM

I assume Ryder and Hawkins will be dropping the belts at the next PPV, if not earlier.

Then they'll join the Ascension, B-Team, and Slater/Rhyno in the burgeoning Main Event tag team division.

Cesaro alone?

This is probably his last chance to hit it big going solo. We know he can do it. It's a matter if Vince really gives a damn about him.

Evil Vito 04-22-2019 05:02 PM

Sheamus might just be done altogether. Not only did he recently get a concussion, but he's 41 years old and has been working with spinal stenosis for a year and a half or so.

All things considered, he was clearly working on borrowed time and I feel like they'd have been more likely than not to keep him in a tag team to preserve whatever he has left in the tank.

The Bar splitting up might signal the end of the line for him.

slik 04-22-2019 05:04 PM

Sheamus was always a solid hand and minus his never-ending feud w/ Del Rio I always enjoyed him. I wish him well and good vibes.

Danny Electric 04-22-2019 05:06 PM

If it’s cos of Fox wanting Latino wrestlers for the market they should have just sent Rey back to Smackdown and kept Andrade on Raw.
I like the Aleister Black trade to Smackdown though , he will work better on there .

Danny Electric 04-22-2019 05:11 PM

Looking at the breakdown of the rosters that Triple A did then there is definitely space for Black to be a mid card face on the show. Interested to see what they do with Andrade on there, if they want him to be that face for the Latino crowd then that tells me there will be a face turn for him in the near future.

XL 04-22-2019 06:00 PM

Seems that's the reason since FOX was upset at losing Rey from the Shakeup and wanted a big name Latino star in return. Charlotte dating El Idolo was also a factor but FOX had the much bigger sway for this decision.

PWInsider.com has been told that the move to bring Andrade and Vega back to Smackdown was made, in part, at the request of FOX as the brand lacked any major Latino stars following the Superstar Shakeup last week and that once the series moves to FOX this October, there are plans to spotlight WWE's Latino stars on their Spanish language station, Fox Deportes.

Black was moved, at least in part, due to the fact he is married to Zelina Vega, as WWE has made an effort to keep married couples on the same brand, but we are also told there were some idea pitched for him for the blue brand.

I joked that the Bar vs. Miz and Shane was the greatest demonstration of Cesaro's strength. He carried three men to a good match.

Emperor Smeat 04-23-2019 02:37 AM

According to Ronda Rousey, her original WWE career plans were to only stick around till November and then leave for a long while to raise a family. After the break, she'd then make a final decision to either continue her career or retire.

Only reason those plans changed were due to WWE rushing to give her the RAW Women's belt last June and promising her a major match as champ at this year's Mania. Everything else remained the same with her taking a lengthy break for family reasons and then considering afterwards if she wants to continue her career or not.

Also seems she's leaning on not signing a new deal once her current contract expires in about 2 years.

I dont get that considering Miz was involved

Lol, The Miz is not someone you send out there to have a good match.

I don't know why you'd move Andrade and Rey in the first place. Dumb move.

I was thinking how/if I would use Sasha Banks in AEW, should she get out of her WWE contract. I think it would be a nice twist on things if she wants a job, but Brandi turns her down because they don't like her attitude from WWE or whatever. They accept she's got skill, but AEW is doing fine with the women they have. Sasha's ego takes great offense to this, of course. Then what you get is Sasha being a shit and trying to stir things up in AEW her own way. Buying tickets and shit. Hanging out with Snoop in a sky box.

Eventually you get to this point in the story where Sasha thinks she's so dope, she tries to sleep with Cody and edge something over Brandi. She begins sending Cody pictures of herself and begins to allude to there being something going on, which Cody denies. This is all to get Brandi in the ring and make her see how dominant she is first-hand. And to get her, Brandi needs to offer her a big, juicy AEW contract.

Basically it would be kind of like a role reversal swap of Savage/Flair, with Sasha playing the role of Ric and Cody in the Liz role. Sasha is a major shit disturber fucking with a the real boss' marriage.

Thought I'd re-post this in here since I always seem to post in the Raw thread when things have died down. But for the first time in years I'm actually excited by an episode of Raw and where it could be leading the company.

Quote:

I'm not gonna deny, this is probably the first Raw in years where I actually took more than 15 minutes to get through it all. Quite a lot of cool and interesting stuff to get excited about.

- Both triple threat matches were pretty good, and didn't leave anyone looking weak. The Styles/Joe/Mysterio one in particular was really good.

- Sami Zayn's promo was great! The guy's a good talker and this is compelling stuff.

- I'm impressed with how over Miz is as a face. He's always had the "safe" WWE style, but his doing a springboard axe handle was pretty cool that he's busting out new things (even though the move itself was pretty lackluster, but seeing him prepare to jump, I was like "huh?").

- Cesaro and Alexander had a great match! Great Raw "debut" for Alexander, and Cesaro getting the clean win is awesome too! With Cesaro seemingly being a singles guy again for the time being, please please please WWE let this be the start of a decent main event push for the guy!

- Stacked tag team scene. I know tag team wrestling has never really been a priority since the Attitude days, but there's an abundance of great teams at the moment, of which none of them are just "two guys thrown together". I really hope WWE focuses on this.

- "Robert Roode". Again, a nice little match, and hopefully this will lead to better things for Roode. Ricochet is fun to watch, but I have no problems with his loss at the moment. He's still a "rookie".

- Bray Wyatt's promo was really interesting! No idea how this will develop over time, which is what makes it exciting. The guy is an excellent talker and worker, so I have no doubt he can pull off whatever he's going for here.

- AJ Styles vs. Seth Rollins... 'nuff said.

Overall, we all know WWE has a penchant for fucking things up or not being consistent with pushes etc, but right now, Raw has an absolutely stacked roster of amazingly talented workers! A lot of interesting developments have taken place, which will hopefully make for more entertaining viewing than what we've had for the last, fuck knows, ten years or so.

Charlotte is looking to break all Ric’s records; not just his championship wins.

Emperor Smeat 04-23-2019 07:19 PM

Apparently both Taker and Angle got pulled from Starrcast II because of WWE's involvement.

According to Conrard Thompson, he offered a compromise where Taker would be allowed for Starrcast 2 and in return, he'd donate 100% of the proceeds from Taker's panel to WWE's Conor’s Cure charity and match it with his own donation. WWE rejected the offer since Vince supposedly isn't fond of Taker marketing himself for non-WWE events.

Lol Turning down direct money to the charity they created for PR purposes. Conrad needs to guarantee that Saudi-level money straight to WWE’s pockets before Vince will whore out one of his guys.

This company is gross.

Why, thank you. I can still muster up some sort of engagement when the situation calls for it. Really pulling for AEW. And they've got a chance, because with only 2 hours, they will be able to focus on threads and give them proper development leading to big shows that feel like they've got a purpose, as opposed to clusters thrown together that stretch into the wee hours of the morning.

They really are. On the sly, I think this is a good public move from Conrad. He probably knows he isn't going to get anyone, but this does more to heel WWE and make them a soulless entity. AEW has done lots of little clever moves that would make good PR in contrast to WWE, who are basically whores for the immediate dollar grab.

If wrestling actually gets some attention in slow news weeks when Smackers moves to FOX and AEW launches, and people want to write about it, then it's going to be pretty easy for journalists to portray AEW as rising babyfaces against the cold corporate empire that secretly still hates its female employees, has a history of racism and tokenism, and accepts sacks of money from the Saudi government while aware that it is tasteless.

Some of the smartest things AEW have done are around starting a promotion in the tones that they have.
