I just saw the postmatch interview G.O.D. did after winning at MSG basically shit all over ROH. Way to go.
|
Good for them. ROH is shit.
|
Lars Sullivan made another controversial tweet that he then deleted. Nothing too bad, just about the fans being easily triggered, but it's just tasteless, tacky and disrespectful to people with genuine PTSD/anxiety disorders, which Sullivan would, you'd think, be more sensitive to.
Also a bad sign that perhaps he has not grown up from his trolling ways and is going to be a perpetual headache for the company. I really don't expect this guy to last too long before he puts his foot in it big time. |
Lana also came out and said that the company never gave her an explanation as to why she should fade out her Russian accent. Man, I can't remember a period of time where so much talent just flat-out talked about how much WWE sucks, and how public they are with their unhappiness within the company.
This reminds me of Benoit, Konnan and Raven talking shit about WCW while they were there, lol. It's pretty surreal. |

Wasn't anything serious or derogatory. Just someone making fun of how his beard looks. |
Can't believe Lars is 30. Felt like he was a lot younger with respect to the bodybuilding forum posts.

I think I’ve seen that three-way, but I don’t remember Eddie wearing a singlet. Weird he seemingly went back to one.
Punk has been popping up more and more in regards to commenting on wrestling. I wouldn’t be shocked to hear about him making a return sometime soon. AEW seems like a real possibility given they’re not Vince. |
Pretty sure he’s not wearing a singlet in that picture. I think the “strap” is the shadow of Punk’s arm.
|
Ah, that would make sense.
|
Yeah, I can clearly see it now, haha. Duck/rabbit.

Is there a WWE dream match? I mean, like, between two members of the available WWE roster?
|
Lashley vs. Lesnar although that's more of a personal dream match for Lashley since he's pushed the idea a couple of times and was a big reason why he left Impact to return to WWE.
Lashley originally saw Lesnar as a dream opponent for his MMA career but since it wasn't possible due to circumstances, he settled on the idea of doing it as a wrestling match instead. |

A well-handled Lashley over the past 2 years vs Lesnar would be a fucking great spectacle though. |
The way Lashley was presented in his first run, as a bit of a golden goose, felt like they wanted him to replace Lesnar in a sense, which fueled everything there a bit. Plus, the guy's have the same initials, lol. It's not much, but "BROCK LESNAR vs. BOBBY LASHLEY" with those two dudes, in perfect form, on a billboard makes wonderful sense.
I feel for Lashley a bit. He's never been the worker Brock is. His selling and his execution of stuff is a lot more forced and clunky. The guy's a freak of nature though, and when presented in a proper way, there's no reason he can't have the "Wow!" effect on your average fan. I think the guy is hurt a bit by his physique in context of the modern era. They wanted him to be a babyface, but it looks absolutely ridiculous selling for dudes like Sami Zayn, who he looks like he should be able to pick the bones of. But if he did that, fans would revolt. It probably would have been smart to bring him in and put him against someone like a John Cena. The fans wouldn't mind Lashley destroying Cena and would probably cheer it. Put him against heels like Orton, Wyatt, Harper and maybe have him squash Miz a few times. The fans wouldn't spit him out then. But then you've got to ask what the point of coddling a guy so much in 2018/2019 is. It's a lot of effort to just get to one match, and then you're left with the question of "what next?" |
The match has happened, and one party isn't really likely to wrestle, but Brock vs. Rock could be huge. They're the two biggest "blockbuster" guys WWE has any sort of tie to. Heyman could cut promos about Brock beating Rock at SummerSlam and that basically forcing Rocky out the door for Hollywood. He'd make appearances, but would never be WWE Champion again until Brock left. There's something there.
The only other ones I can think of involve Shawn Michaels, who wrestled last year, so who fucking knows? Feels like cheating though, lol. Apart from that, I agree with #1-wwf-fan. And I feel that is a big problem, because dream matches are indicative of a fan's imagination, investment and anticipation. That all the dream matches are locked in the past is a bit sad. |

WWE has cancelled the June BACKLASH ppv in San Diego as they have shifted the next Saudi Arabia show to June 7th, which was a week before BACKLASH was scheduled.

Dirty whore of a promotion.

Maybe they should cancel MITB since that seems kinda awkward considering all the money the Saudis gave Vince

Whether I’d trust WWE to frame in correctly is another thing entirely. |
I feel like there is also a v good match to be had between Finn and Nakamura. But AJ vs Rollins is for sure my dream match for the current roster.
|
Their youtube channel has been putting up quite a few of these "last shield match" videos. Starting to wonder if Ambrose leaving is not entirely accurate, have they ever put this much emphasis on a Wrestler leaving before? They're even doing a live event on the network tonight with supposedly the last shield match being a part of the card.

Yeah, I'm not sold on him "leaving" as in "I'm done here & never gonna wrestle again." I'm more sold on him "leaving" as in "I'm gonna take some time off, let the wifey make some dough, then when everybody least expects it, I'm gonna hit ya with a dirty deeds."
I can totally see 6 months, a year from now, he'll come back unannounced. Depending on what he does, he'll either be a MEGA FACE or a MEGA HEEL. Either way, he'll have mega heat. Wouldn't it be something if he and Punk come back together...!!! |
Maybe he completely changes his look and comes back as Moxley

Someone in WWE apparently doesn't know how to count.
This Shield's Final Chapter event on the Network has a women's tag match going on right now but the ring announcer said it was a 6-woman tag match. Problem is only 5 people showed up and turned into a regular 2v2 tag match with no explanation given. |
