Who would honestly win in a fight : Droford or MMA Izzy

Evil Vito 04-14-2019 11:08 AM

Izzy with a tapout inside of 3 minutes

screech 04-14-2019 11:36 AM

I'll give it inside 5 minutes. Droford has the size advantage, could be tough to take him down early.

#1-norm-fan 04-14-2019 01:34 PM

We should set this fight up for charity.

But then if the fight sold out, Droford would probably just bitch that Izzy shouldn’t be allowed into the building because fans were turned away and demand the win by forfeit.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-14-2019 05:08 PM

Izzy 0-1
Droford: 1-0.

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2019 05:09 PM

I'm enjoying the Dark Side of the Ring specials. The Bruiser Brody one is especially interesting. Mick Foley hosts it. I feel really uneasy about Carlos Colon and that whole ordeal. I had no clue about Bruiser Brody buying Gorilla Monsoon's stake in the WWC. Really pours more of a solid "motive" into things.

Jake does a pretty good Macho Man. :D

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-14-2019 06:20 PM

He should do a pretty good pay Jerry Grey.

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2019 06:20 PM

Cornette alluded to there being at least one piece of new information about the Montreal Screwjob to come out of that episode, which will be interesting.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-14-2019 06:30 PM

Probably gonna be that somebody alertered bret ahead of time proving it was a work or at least he went along with it anyways.

#1-norm-fan 04-14-2019 07:00 PM

I don’t think it was a work but I do think it should have been. It was good for everyone. If Vince has gone to Bret and laid out the idea, I don’t see why Bret would reject it.

This. 100% this. It protects Bret, keeps him strong in Canada, gets Shawn heat, moves the belt -- everything is accomplished.

Emperor Smeat 04-14-2019 08:13 PM

I'd assume that this new piece is probably going to confirm a lot more people were actually involved in the planning and execution of the screwjob like confirming Triple H having a direct role in it.

Bret despised HBK which is why he pleaded to drop the title in the US instead or to someone else in Canada. Part of it has to do with HBK supposedly telling Bret that he would never show him the same level of respect if the roles were reversed.

It might have also convinced Bret that Vince really was in cahoots with HBK the whole time to get the belt off of him in any way possible. Like even if he agreed to the idea, Vince probably would have pulled a different screwjob than the one Bret would be expecting. It would also give Vince all the ammo needed to put the blame entirely on Bret instead of himself or HBK afterwards.

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2019 08:22 PM

I think it will be a combination of that and something more about how Vince was certain that Bret wasn’t going to show up on Nitro with the belt. That’s not really “new,” but maybe there’s something in paper, or Bret agreed to leave the belt with Vince or something. You’d think that would have come out by now though.

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2019 10:02 PM

Ah, fuck. Apparently Nakamura is staying with WWE.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-14-2019 10:05 PM

Everybody worth a shit WWE will most likely keep. AEW/NJPW/ROH will get table scraps.

ROH just spent a lot for Enzo and Cass.

Mr. Nerfect 04-14-2019 10:08 PM

I wish more wrestlers had the balls/creative drive to go elsewhere and take some control over themselves a bit. Not so much to TNA or ROH at this point. TNA is a dead issue and ROH is heading that way fast.

Evil Vito 04-14-2019 10:09 PM

Watching Worlds Collide...fuck I really want to see a Luke Harper “family man” gimmick.

He came off as easy to relate to in his blog post or whatever that was.

I now picture someone who looks like Elizabeth with the sparkly Cowboy hat and tassled jacket, but still has the voice.

Like a real life Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.

That is the same problem with Black Eyed Peas. If you never heard their first two albums, you would always think that they sucked copious amounts of ass.

Mandy Rose is very attractive.

This is posted here and nobody replied with something akin to "whatever it is, ROH paid too much"? I'm disappointed in you people.

Not saying I completely agree with that idea, but still, feels like someone should have said it and meant it by now.

But, CazXL is a shit name. Not just because you can't make "Big Ass" out of it for his entrance, but it was like no thought went into what to call him at all, and was like "let's just use a Twitter handle".

She's okay. I think that whole "God's gift" spiel from Corey Graves all the time is a bit much. Like, Lawler/Puppies too much. Like when you overhype something to the point of it never being able to live up to said hype. But yeah, still easy on the eyes.

The Hardyz are obviously going into the HOF on the first ballot after they retire. But at this point I think they might well headline a class.

Lock Jaw 04-15-2019 12:00 AM

Thought those were the women's tag titles they had in the last pic.....

Tom Guycott 04-15-2019 12:19 AM

And I actually forgot they were both in ROH for a hot minute.

Evil Vito 04-15-2019 12:24 AM

I think those are the OMEGA titles, the backyard promotion they helped to create in the early 90s.

They won practically every tag title on the indies in the last 8 or so months before they came back to WWE.

Feel like if they didn't go back to WWE they would've somehow ended up getting a token IWGP tag title run in New Japan given their ROH relationship.

Tom Guycott 04-15-2019 12:39 AM

Are they OMEGA, or are they the AAA belts? At least I think it was AAA... when they were doing that "teleporting" buisiness to win every championship ("in space and time") at the end of their TNA run, they won titles "in Mexico". I thought those were those. A little bit before they "dropped" the TNA/iMPACT titles on the final teleport and Decay walked over and picked them up off the ground.

XL 04-15-2019 02:19 AM

Those white belts look to be a Young Bucks custom.

Droford 04-15-2019 03:01 AM

Can't wait for the Hardy's Girls to win the women's titles

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-15-2019 03:36 AM

Jeff has one daughter and Matt has two sons.

One of the sons could identify as female in the future.

Is Steve Austin done with podcasting or is he taking a break?

Evil Vito 04-15-2019 11:39 AM

I dunno, he said back in December that he was taking a few weeks off and now it's April.

Kinda makes me wonder if he took his break and simply decided he's happier not doing it. It's not like he needs the money.

Came across a fascinating article written in 1988 about the Von Erichs

There's too many wrestling podcasts
