Having personally met her and her parents this Saturday I'm more than qualified to hate her and her parents.

Droford 04-10-2019 02:30 PM

Was listening to Busted Open go on about the entire Becky Lynch storyline has a huge "yeah..but" next to it. Becky won the rumble. Yeah but she tapped out to Auska and her entering the Rumble was totally a heel move in retrospect. Becky Lynch won at Mania .yeah but she didn't have Rondas shoulders down and she brought in a table which is another heel move.

My theory is eventually Becky will turn heel on everyone for good and say she used the fans to get the titles. Now that she has two belts she doesn't need the fans

Ol Dirty Dastard 04-10-2019 02:30 PM

Did Izzy speak ill of Joe Flacco or something?

I don’t really buy into that. WWE always has faces doing heelish stuff nowadays. That’s just how Vince books.

Well if you remember they tried to turn her heel originally and it backfired. I don't know who she could turn heel on that fans would care and be mad about it but the whole storyline arc could go back to the failed heel turn and her claim she used the fans

Emperor Smeat 04-10-2019 05:49 PM

Fightful did some math figuring out how much it would cost WWE in medical and benefits per year if all of their current talent were classified as actual employees.

Based on their math, it would come out to about $28.5 million per year or roughly 25% of what they made in net income last year. That percentage will shrink by a considerable amount once their new tv deal kicks in.

That’s not really an excuse. The Asuka stuff, weak build and fucked finish are definitely possible dampers.

Looks like the next call-up for the main roster got revealed from tonight's NXT tapings.

SPOILER: show
Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler for NXT Women's title with the stip of if Kairi loses, she can never challenge for the women's belt again.

SPOILER: show
Kairi lost and bowed to the crowd after the match. Also reported she was in tears during her entrance.

:y::y:

I'm hopeful.

Evil Vito 04-11-2019 12:14 AM

Just did a quick count of the matches I attended this weekend:

NXT Pre-Show TV Taping: 3 matches, 8 participants
NXT Takeover New York: 5 matches, 14 participants
Pancakes and Piledrivers 3: 9 matches, 50 participants
G1 Supercard Pre-Show: 2 matches, 37 participants
G1 Supercard: 10 matches, 32 participants
WM 35 Kickoff: 4 matches, 53 participants
WM 35: 12 matches, 37 participants

TOTALS: 45 matches, 231 participants

And of the 231 participants, the only ones I saw more than once were Kairi Sane, Candice LeRae, Aleister Black, and Ricochet.

Fucking hell.

Creative team member Robert Evans (former indy wrestler Archibald Peck) was apparently fired at the gorilla position during the HOF ceremony because one of the speeches he wrote included praise for Vince.

slik 04-11-2019 01:56 PM

Vince notoriously hates being mentioned during HOF speeches and it's a 'golden rule' to not bring him up so I could see it.

Evil Vito 04-11-2019 03:52 PM

Road Dogg has quit as head writer of SmackDown

https://imgtc.com/i/P0dtNNJ.gif

GD 04-11-2019 03:59 PM

Whoa! I hope this wasn't due to the HOF controversy.

Yeah, that seems like something a writer would know.

Mr. Nerfect 04-11-2019 04:41 PM

Road Dogg moving out is something I kind of expected. He doesn’t perform well in the role, doesn’t seem to handle the stress, and the show is about to go “big time.” I can see Road Doggy Dogg doing agenting or stuff in developmental.

Road Dogg apparently couldn't take the last minute booking changes, like the Hardys over the Usos

XL 04-11-2019 05:42 PM

They should bring MVP in to manage The Street Profits.

ClockShot 04-11-2019 06:18 PM

Road Dogg going out is great news for Smackdown.

Get the other guy back in charge and let's get Brand Blue back to the show it used to be when it went live.

Sepholio 04-11-2019 06:41 PM

Is it just me or does it seem weird that Vince doesn't like praise during the HOF? Just doesn't seem like him. He's the kind of guy that will toot his own horn just for the sake of tooting his own horn.

Emperor Smeat 04-11-2019 06:47 PM

Apparently WWE has been slowly ditching the use of buttons in favor of velcro for their belts with the Universal belt being the most recent one changed.

Supposedly it started around this year's Elimination Chamber event and a reliable source thinks its due to WWE not bothering to scale their designs to factor in smaller waists and wrestlers.

Switching the belt fastenings from snaps to velcro is the worst thing WWE did this weekend and nobody's talking about it. pic.twitter.com/dJITFNYopV
— Velveteen Breen (@wiretap804) April 9, 2019

No official reason. Logic would lead towards the belts being larger and the wrestlers holding them being smaller. Apparently Pat McAfee almost quit WWE the day of WrestleMania because Micheal Cole caused a big backstage incident with him. According to McAfee it all revolved around him wearing suit-style shorts for the event and only Cole flipped out when he saw it. Cole only backed down from his verbal bashing once Vince saw the shorts and loved McAfee's look.

A former NXT announcer has been telling stories of how bad Cole is backstage to work with based on his personal experience.

Apparently NXT's Donovan Dijakovic could end up in some hot water based on a tweet that ended up giving off white supremacy vibes due to interpretations of its meaning.

The tweet by itself comes off as just the stereotypical heel upset over how life has changed in the US compared to the old days but ends up taking a darker tone once you consider a certain person he tagged and his newest feud in NXT based on recent tapings. The "purifying" part comes off even worse when you factor in recent real life instances involving white supremacists.

SPOILER: show
He's currently feuding with Velveteen Dream and his new "American Dream" like persona so in essence, Dijakovic thinks its terrible that a minority can become successful and/or proudly view himself as the symbol of the American way of life.

Dijakovic realized he messed up big time and quickly deleted the tweet instead of trying to defend whatever he meant with it.

So apparently Dominik Dijakovic is way into white nationalism...

Nicky Fives 04-12-2019 02:33 AM

Am I the only one that doesn't think that has anything to do with white supremacy?
