Some recent stuff from the dirsheets:

Quote:

WWE putting Ryback with Paul Heyman is seen as “feast or famine” and “one last chance” for Ryback to make it as a top star.
Quote:

There has been speculation that Paul Heyman aligning with Ryback will lead to a Ryback vs. Brock Lesnar match but word is that this is more of an end game for WWE.

If things don’t go as planned and Ryback fails in the new role with Heyman, it will be easy for WWE to write him off for the time being and have Lesnar destroy him.

One problem with this is that it could draw a major babyface reaction for Ryback, possibly something bigger than anything he has experienced so far. There are plans for a Lesnar babyface turn but not until after WrestleMania XXX so if they would do the Lesnar vs. Ryback match before then, it could be with Ryback as the babyface and Lesnar to be heel.
Quote:

WWE officials recently discussed two potential roles for Big E Langston, which is part of the reason why he hasn’t been featured on TV as much lately. The roles were Paul Heyman’s latest acquisition or a bodyguard for Daniel Bryan.

The feeling is that the alliance with Bryan most likely will not happen and the new “Paul Heyman Guy” role went to Ryback at Night of Champions.
Quote:

Speaking of Vince, he’s high up on The Wyatt Family and their promo videos, especially the mic work of Bray Wyatt. At the same time, there’s a feeling that there needs to be some kind of advancement with the group. The challenge is finding a “happy medium” with the way The Shield was pushed from day one.
Quote:

As noted before, The Shield vs. Cody Rhodes, Goldust and Dusty Rhodes is being discussed for WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view. There’s a feeling that Dusty may not be used in the match because of his age but it’s said that if Vince McMahon gets his way, Dusty will be in the match. Some feel that Dolph Ziggler should team with Cody and Goldust.

I wonder if Santino has shown Stephanie his cobra. If he hasn't I'll show her mine.

Also, push R-Truth

Can Vince and creative impose a "feast or famine" situation on themselves so that the next time they book like 8 year old children with ADD and then wonder why no new stars are being built, they can go away? That would be super.

Lock Jaw 09-24-2013 01:16 AM

I would like to see #1-wwf-fan take the reigns of WWE creative for a year, to see what he would do.

Or he should just make an Armchair Warfare: #1-wwf-fan and #1-wwf-fan only edition.

#1-norm-fan 09-24-2013 01:31 AM

Ugh. FINE. I'll get right on it.

Bad News Gertner 09-24-2013 03:24 AM

I'll be your co-booker.

Bad News Gertner 09-24-2013 03:25 AM

FFS, one last chance for Ryback. How about not having him lose having fucking PPV match and turning him heel for no good reason.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-24-2013 04:38 AM

Two PPV main events for the title came out of it. Best they could hope for with his limited ability.

Bad News Gertner 09-24-2013 05:23 AM

He was over as fuck as a babyface and they just flushed it away

They shouldn't have pushed Ryback into the no-win situation last year. At Hell in a Cell, instead of doing CM Punk vs. Ryback, they should have done CM Punk vs. Vince McMahon in the Cell. Punk would challenge Vince instead of Ryback, because Vince never "backs down from a challenge." Punk would massacre Vince and Ryback would run down, break into the Cell and chase off Punk. Or Ryback should have turned heel and become a Heyman Guy there and then.

I'm not the biggest fan of the guy, but I could get into this alliance with Heyman and Curtis Axel. Something seems right about Ryback being out there with Axel and vice versa.

Mr. Nerfect 09-24-2013 08:11 AM

Aw JTG. He entertained me on Superstars this week. The guy is still only 29 years old. Apparently he's a stiff worker and has a bit of an attitude problem, but he is charismatic as hell and can work a mic and a decent match. I'd forgotten how jacked the guy is too. He could make a half-decent mid-card babyface. Have him approach Heyman and ask to be a Paul Heyman Guy because he gets no opportunities. Heyman says that he just doesn't see anything in JTG. So JTG attacks Ryback or Curtis Axel during one of their matches and triggers a DQ. He wants to know if Heyman sees anything now.

Randomly stumbled upon an SES-era CM Punk lucha mask. That's halloween sorted.

Mr. Nerfect 09-24-2013 08:49 AM

Punk was such a great heel on SmackDown during that time. His feud with Jeff Hardy was great stuff.

I've heard that Cole is really great at playing a heel but pretty bland as a babyface. They should just have Cole let the success of being ROH World Champion get to his head and have him start hanging out with Matt Taven, Truth Martini and the hot girls that follow them everywhere.

If you have a dull babyface that's fun as a heel, the solution's easy: make him an anti-hero fan favorite like the Rock or Steve Austin.

Watching Triple H: Thy Kingdom Come on iTunes.

SPOILER: show
Holy Shit! Chyna!

Corporate CockSnogger 09-24-2013 12:49 PM

Is that a documentary DVD? I'd possibly consider watching a Triple H DVD.

GD 09-24-2013 01:46 PM

Yes. The iTunes version only has the documentary. I believe the DVD / Blu-Ray set has more bonus segments and matches with the WWF scratched logo not blurred out.

Also, took an amusing screen cap

Corporate CockSnogger 09-24-2013 01:53 PM

Don't really care about the matches, wouldn't watch them anyway. If enough people suggest the documentary's any good though I'll probably hit up piratebay.

GD 09-24-2013 02:12 PM

It's a good look back at his career and where he is now. It does not present anything new that the fans may not know of. They did not touch upon his backstage politics for obvious reasons. It was okay.

Lock Jaw 09-24-2013 02:16 PM

Just realized that Hulu has not only the latest NXT episodes for free, but every season of NXT for free.

It's a well known fact that the damage caused by a dropkick cannot be healed until the victim learns and dropkicks back.

Which match are you speaking of, Counterfeit King of the Forum 2013? ;)

Pretty fun Heel vs. Heel match. Well, the second half of the Pretty fun Heel vs. Heel match. Until re-watching this match, I never could have seen Rick Martel as a face.

Maybe the Model could have been a face, after all.

Cool King 09-24-2013 08:47 PM

The WWE's YouTube account has uploaded these for some reason.

Is it me, or did the last RAW main event seem like amateur hour (at least until Bryan got tagged in). It was 11 on 3 against the Shield.

One of the most recent back issues of the Observer on F4WOnline.com is the one dated July 1, 1996, looking at King of the Ring 1996. Of course we all remember it as what helped kick start Austin's ascension to superstardom.

Of course no one had any clue that's what was going to happen when he gave the speech. Has any legendary moment in wrestling history the past 30 years has been downplayed so much by Dave Meltzer?

Quote:

7. Austin beat Roberts in 4:28 to win King of the Ring. The storyline was that Roberts was working on badly injured ribs. Ironically it was Austin who was hurt legit as he needed 15 or 16 stitches in the tongue and mouth (done backstage at the building, not in the hospital as was said on television). Austin worked the ribs for about 3:00 and Gorilla Monsoon came in to stop the match. Roberts begged for him to let it go, which he did. At this point they got a lot of heat and Roberts made a quick comeback before being cut off. Austin got the pin with the Stone Cold Stunner and did a strong post-match interview knocking Roberts religion and drinking problems. 1/2*

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-24-2013 11:48 PM

He was grading the match not the moment. It was a four minute match not really great for main event/final of a tournament.
