I seriously don't get the hype about this "new" character. The way Marvel have been selling it, it's as if it's some huge massive event but I have absolutely no idea who they are or why I should especially care.

Come to think of it, I did read read Ultimate Avengers 1 and 2. Didn't get around to the relaunched Ultimate Spider-Man, the Ultimate Doomsday series or anything else that came around the same time or since. Some day though.

Same here. I gave up on the Ultimate universe after Ultimatum, but I do think I have the first volume of Avengers laying around somewhere.

Is Ultimate Spidey still that Hispanic kid, or is it back to Peter Parker? If it's still Jaime, it seems really screwy to me that neither universe has Pete in the spandex.

RDJ has signed for Avengers 2 and 3. Iron Man's film series may be done, though.

Dunno if this has been mentioned on here, but according to IMDB, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will star cast members from both X-Men series, so James McAvoy, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellan, Anna Paquin, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry etc are all gonna be in this one together. Sounds pretty cool.

Yeah... and who cares as long as it works to make money for Fox? Getting together some popular and new X-characters and sort of ripping off the Avengers movie idea but doing time travel / dirty black op work instead of Power Ranger superhero stuff.
