El Capitano Gatisto 08-03-2004 07:32 AM

There is no British representatives in the Olympic football tournament, because of the structure of the FAs.

Plus, Craig Moore wanting to play in the Olympics is a joke. The tournament should be kept to youth players only. Professional, full international footballers should not be allowed to take part.

Paul Scholes has retired from international football at just 29. Must be some injury we don't know about or something cause I can't see why he'd do this otherwise. Thats England's best midfielder gone anyway ( and before anyone starts he is their best midfielder, Gerrard will be better but isn't yet. )

El Capitano Gatisto 08-03-2004 12:38 PM

He has had a few operations over the past couple of seasons. Maybe he is sick of the pissing and moaning that comes with his England performances.

Wow, I am shocked. Perhaps he wanted to go out at the top, quit whilst he was ahead, before Super Franky Lampard replaced him permanently.

Ferocious 08-03-2004 03:33 PM

I don't remember there being a British team at all in the Sydney olympics, though Ireland did participate.

Rob Ban Fan 08-03-2004 04:19 PM

Thats a bugger about Scholes, we will miss him. He got a lot of stick about not scoring for 3 years but he was world class.

Sunderland sent Mark Burchill back. He's a coke head (allegedly) and has a piss poor attitude. Can't wait until he fucks off.

Skeletor2 08-03-2004 07:07 PM

Real Madrid have agreed a £23m deal for Patrick Vieira according to Skysports

Dazz 08-03-2004 07:26 PM

Well, i believe it this time, only because of what Sky Sports just said, the radio station has a stake in Real Madrid, and they were the ones who announced the Beckham transfer, doesnt mean he is going, just means Arsenal and Madrid have agreed a fee.

packt up 08-03-2004 08:50 PM

Who gives a shit who sven fucks.

Newcastle really got me excited after Rangers then let me down with "Sporting club of Portugal" (anyone know why they don't like being called Sporting Lisbon!?)

What the hells going on here. This isn't football talk, this is soccer talk - Change the title.

toxic rooster 08-03-2004 11:31 PM

a) Football = Soccer, because it's the only game where you use your FEET to hit the BALL
b) Fuck off

Bazooka 08-03-2004 11:40 PM

Soccer means hitting a ball with your foot and it fits more appropriately .

Football means carrying, tossing, throwing. Also, what do you think they use to make a field goal? Their feet, which is very vital for the New England Patriots. But i'll take option b, thanks.

Fuck off.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-04-2004 01:30 PM

We might be signing Joachim Bjorklund.

I dunno if he's any good anymore, but jesus christ, another Sunderland reject? :|

Dazz 08-04-2004 02:20 PM

Vieira has allegedly put his house up for sale for £5.5 Million

Youth players are still professional. All Olympic sports allow professionals now because that's where the crop of the talent is.

Rob 08-04-2004 05:10 PM

Speaking of footballers houses, I worked in Seba Veron's pad in London today. The front of his house can be classed as a car lot. 8 cars in the driveway!

Dazz 08-04-2004 05:19 PM

I bet it was you that broke in with a macchette a few months back, you crazy bastard.

Youth players who haven't played full internationals for their countries.

Football should be at the Olympics, but not in the current form. Football has its own competitions which matter more to the people involved, and that should be respected.

toxic rooster 08-05-2004 02:54 AM

It's set up how it is so that it doesn't compromise the integrity of the World Cup or something, isn't it?

You can judge how good he is by this. We gave hima free transfer when we got relegated, he's still here. I think you are the first team to show a slight interest. His best days are behind him, a first division player at best.

Dazz 08-05-2004 02:08 PM

So Just when I thought that Chelsea couldn't piss me off anymore

We let Mutu go on loan to Juve. :|

three of our most expensive four signings from last season are now loaned out after a season, and the other signing (Duff) has someone else just brought in to replace him. What the fuck is up with that.

Gudjohnsen was my least favourite Chelsea striker, and he's the one we kept, he is pure shit and he has an aweful workrate, won't even challenge for headers. :wtf:.

Rob 08-05-2004 02:41 PM

Did Juventus pick up his make up bills?

Dazz 08-05-2004 02:42 PM

I doubt it, Chelsea will be funding 100% of his wages (Porbably) so I guess we pay for all his other expenses.

Wengerland 08-05-2004 02:45 PM

I'm thinking Robben will play on the right if they're both fit, but it's a good move anyway, considering Duff's injury problems last year.

Bit surprised Mutu has been let out on loan, considering Mourinho was talking about 2 players for each position. Heard they had a bit of a bust up on that American tour though, so i can't blame Mourinho for kinda making an example of him.

Dazz 08-05-2004 02:57 PM

You'll hear alot of things, Mutu, Duff and Cole have all been rumoured to have said pretty much the same thing in the last month, but Cole and Duff are still there, it's bollocks.

Duff's injury problems are indeed a bitch, but I think we should have just kept Zenden, and played him when Duff was injured, and play Joe Cole out on the right wing.

Mr. Monday Morning 08-05-2004 03:18 PM

Hey Dazz, have you seen the news aboot Kezman?

:'(

Having said that, I don't think he'll be a regular (I damn well hope not anyway)...I'm thinking it's more a case of Jo Lescott hasn't played for a year, so we absolutely have to have cover for him, cause he's probably not going to make it through the whole season without at least one rest period.

What the three match ban? It hasn't gone through yet because we appealed against it.

Please tell me there is no other news.

Wengerland 08-06-2004 02:50 PM

Pompey have signed Aliou Cisse from Birmingham but the Carrick move has stalled after Arsenal's interest, either way he's not in West Hams squad for tomorrow

Whilst we're on the Kezman subject, I think he may just grab the golden boot this season

I could buy them if I played for Chelsea too.

Kezman would probably beat you in a fight, Rob. He's a reasonably big fella and, more importantly, he's a Serb.
