Yes, I'm bumping another old video game forum thread, but I have an EWR question.
I'm working on a c-fed scenario right now creating all of the guys in that forum from scratch. I just went to test what I hope is the final roster for one of the feds, but a ton of guys are missing. Does anybody know why this is? |
<font color=goldenrod>^ Not sure.....even though you've probably figured it out 2+ months later
Anyways, it's pretty sad how the top post on the last page of this thread was from February :o There were some good stories going on, just wondering if anybody even plays these sims anymore :( I finally did February and No Way Out 2026 (after forgetting about the game since May) :o here's the results as if anybody cared: Heat Results: M-A-G promoted the PPV (which was the first PPV in which he was comissioner) No Way Out Results -Trinity def. Yeah. Turns out the game doesn't recognize anyone younger than 18.
We could be using this thread for SVR2006's GM Mode, y'know. |
:'(
Downloaded the demo of TEW 2005 and took control of TNA Its a pretty good game, loadsa new stuff, and I managed to get an A* match between Christian Cage and Jeff Jarrett......Christian winning the NWA Heavyweight Title  |
I've been playing more EWR lately (playing as NWA-TNA, as well as testing out my c-fed scenario). Just cut a bunch of people from the TNA roster, 'cause we were losing money. Cut a few too many, so I signed CM Punk (who had been released by WWE). Going to set up a Punk/Matt Bentley feud over Traci.
Champs are the same in my season, except Samoa Joe beat AJ Styles (who is in rehab for cocaine :?: ) for the X Title. I'm trying to set up an AMW/Team 3D feud, but Devon has been out with an injury. I reunited BG and Kip, and I'm sort of leaning toward adding Waltman to the Kru, then having the former DXers turn heel on K-Dawg and Truth. Haven't decided yet. Eight days away from Final Resolution 2006, with the card: World Title: Jeff Jarrett vs. Christian Cage vs. Kevin Nash X Title: Samoa Joe vs. Chris Sabin vs. Christopher Daniels (Sabin and Daniels were supposed to be facing AJ in a #1 contender match and it was supposed to be Joe vs. Jeff Hardy, but with AJ's problems, I put Jeff in a match against Abyss and turned the title match into a triple thread) Tag Titles: America's Most Wanted vs. The James Gang (BG & Kip) Hardcore Tag Team Triple Threat: Rhino and Sabu vs. Jerry Lynn and Brother Ray vs. Raven and Simon Diamond Ron Killings vs. Monty Brown CM Punk (making his TNA debut after weeks of "Mystery Stalker" stuff) vs. Matt Bentley |
<font color=goldenrod>LOL Styles in rehab for cocaine
Good card Loopy</font> :y: |
Just downloaded an update and started a TNA game. I decided to vacate all the titles because AMW and Jarrett wouldn't sign written contracts, and I was scared the WWE would nab them from me, so they became vacant and I added the NWA North American title so that there's a title for those not in the NWA Title scene or if they aren't in the X-Division.
Hacked away at the roster getting rid of the crap (I don't want half my roster having guys who can only do high flying matches) and brought in a shitload of talent. Current roster: Main Eventers: Cactus Jack Christian Cage Raven (Faces) Jeff Jarrett Bill Goldberg Sting (Heels) Upper Midcarders: AJ Styles Brother Devon Brother Ray Diamond Dallas Page Jeff Hardy Jerry Lynn Konnan Ron Killings Sabu (Faces) Brock Lesnar Chris Harris Christopher Daniels D'Lo Brown Hassan Ken Shamrock Rhino The Sandman (Heels) Midcarders: BG James Chris Sabin Elix Skipper Ultimo Dragon (Faces) Abyss James Storm Monty Brown Petey Williams Samoa Joe Lower Midcarders: Bryan Danielson (Face) Frankie Kazarian Matt Bentley (Heels) TNA Knockouts: Jackie Gayda (Face) Dawn Marie (Heel) Managers: James Mitchell Scott D'Amore (Heels) TNA Authority: Lionheart Chris Jericho (Heel) I've also got a shitload of talent in the development fed, including a load of the talent which was there in the first place such as Traci and Gail Kim, The Naturals, Alex Shelley and some of Team Canada |
I did the PPV last night, and it didn't "click." All of the matches had high Quality ratings, and the crowd reaction was good, but all of the overall ratings were really low and I wound up with a 68% overall. I hate when that happens. I spent a lot of time building up those matches.
Anyway, quick results: Christian Cage won the World Title triple threat match, pinning Kevin Nash after interference from Monty Brown. Christopher Daniels won the X Division triple threat match. America's Most Wanted successfully defended the Tag Team Titles. Forgot there were no 2-2-2 hardcore matches, so I made it a ladder match. Rhino and Sabu won. Monty Brown pinned Ron Killings. CM Punk pinned Matt Bentley. Alex Shelley won an elimination match against Roderick Strong, Sonjay Dutt, and Austin Aries to earn a shot at the X Division Title. Abyss pinned Jeff Hardy. Konnan and Sean Waltman survived a 10-man Survivor Series-style tag team match against Team Canada. Their partners were Lance Hoyt, Shark Boy, and someone else who I can't remember offhand. Against All Odds Card (so far) World Title: Christian Cage (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett Tag Team Titles: America's Most Wanted (c) vs. Team 3D X Division Title: Christopher Daniels (c) vs. Alex Shelley Kevin Nash vs. Monty Brown I'm still several weeks away from that show, so the rest of the card will fill in between now and then. Devon returns from his arm injury on February 1, so I can finally have the AMW/3D match. If AJ's back from rehab in time, I'll have him face Samoa Joe. Probably something else between Bentley and Punk, since I'm building up to Traci turning on Bentley and joining Punk. But that won't happen for a while yet. Maybe something like Bentley and Sabin against Punk and Joe (if AJ doesn't come back). Something with 3LK, too. Maybe AAO is when I'll have BG and Kip turn on Killings and Konnan with help from Waltman. |
I love EWR, I finnally booked Abyss to win the X Division title last night after an eight month feud with Petey Williams.
It was at the Victory Road PPV and it headlined the show ahead of Sting vs. Jarret vs. Monty Brown vs. Sandman (C) for the World belt. Got a pretty good match rating for both matches too. |
I got a 99% match rating for Rhino vs. Raven, Last Man Standing at Against All Odds. Tied for my best show to date. Christian and Jarrett had a pretty good Cage Match, too.
Just had Kip & BG turn on Killings & Konnan, and the angle went over with a resounding thud. Now I'm debating whether I even want to bother turning Waltman to joing them or not, since these guys are getting zero reaction. I released Jackie Gayda, since I didn't have anything for her, and someone else who escapes me at the moment and signed Super Dragon and Paul Burchill. Basically a cost-cutting measure, as I got SD and Paul really cheap. I'm losing money, so every little bit helps. I have a feeling that if don't turn a profit in March, I'm history. On the plus side, the Destination X card is coming together well so far. World Title: Christian Cage (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Rhino vs. Raven Basically a way to continue both feuds while getting Rhino and Raven the main-event time they've lost during their individual feud. After Rhino won Last Man Standing, he offered Raven a handshake, but Raven spat on him. X Division Title: Christopher Daniels (c) vs. Jerry Lynn Lynn beat Jeff Hardy @ Against All Odds to earn the shot after they'd fought to draws the previous two weeks. Tag Team Titles: America's Most Wanted vs. Team 3D AMW defended the titles in a ladder match at AAO after they hit a double superplex on Brother Ray. Devon just returned from an injury and Ray took a sick bump. AMW's going in for the kill. Ladder Match: Jeff Hardy & Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams & Primetime vs. Roderick Strong & Alex Shelley Couldn't call the show "Destination X" without some sort of X Division clusterfuck. The winning team is going to get a triple threat match with the winner of Daniels/Lynn at the next PPV. Ron Killings & Konnan vs. The James Gang (Sean Waltman as special ref) The original plan was to turn Waltman during the match, but after the CLUNK from BG & Kip turning, I'm not so sure. Guess we'll see if the crowd warms up to it in the coming weeks. Matt Bentley & Traci vs. CM Punk & Gail Kim The Impact prior to AAO, Punk threatened Traci, but Bentley made the save. Over the next few weeks, the Bentley/Traci relationship will deepen until Bentley finally proposes. During the tag match, though, Punk & Gail will win because of miscommunication between Matt & Traci, which will start building to Traci turning on Matt to join Punk somewhere down the line. Still got a few more slots to fill. Hopefully I'll have AJ back from rehab by then, but I'll plan the show without him for now. Don't have anything with Nash yet, so I should probably set up something for him. Ditto Sabu and Abyss. |
Two months ago, I was on the verge of being fired. I was losing money, and public image was dropping. So, I started cutting costs. So long, Kevin Nash and your $200,00+ per appearance fee. Bye-bye BG & Kip James. Your heel turns didn't interest anybody, and you were just too expensive. I brought in a bunch of cheap indy workers to fill in the empty roster spots that Sophie worried made me look weak. I signed as many written contracts as I could, with the intention that - if I lasted long enough - I'd stuff all the new guys I've never heard of into a developmental territory that I'll be able to afford with the money I'm saving by cutting costs.
Since then, public image is back up over 80, and I've made money for two consecutive months. Plus, I managed to turn Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley into legitimate main eventers. The Cage/Jarrett feud is doing incredibly well. And I just ended the Rhino/Raven feud with an I Quit match at Hard Justice. Both guys are hugely over now and have moved on to other feuds. The next PPV is Slammiversary, so I'm going to have all eight of my current feuds result in matches at the PPV. A couple of the feuds will end that night. Really trying to give it a "big show" feel. Slammiversary Card World Title Ladder Match: Christian Cage (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett. The feud has lasted for more than six months and will finally end with Christian's trademark match. Tag Team Title Match: Team 3D (c) vs. America's Most Wanted. This feud has also lasted since December '05 and will end one way or the other. X Division Title Match: Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley (c). Shelley took the gold from Christopher Daniels at Lockdown, and now these two newly-minted main eventers will battle for the fastest-growing title in wrestling. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe. After AJ's recent personal problems, this feud was put on hold. Japanese commitments prevented a Hard Justice match. Finally, the rivals will face off again at Slammiversary. Matt Bentley vs. CM Punk. After Traci betrayed Bentley, siding with Punk at Destination X, this feud has only intensified. Christopher Daniels vs. Raven. After winning his feud with Rhino, Raven is looking to get back into the World Title picture. First, he has to go through the Fallen Angel. Rhino vs. Sabu. Sabu recently turned his back on the fans by siding with James Mitchell and Abyss, and has entered into a feud with Rhino. Could this launch Sabu into the main event? Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss. This will probably end up being a gimmick match of some kind, but I haven't figured out what yet. The pre-show might be a Ron Killings/Sean Waltman match, or it might just be a promo for the World Title match. Haven't decided that yet, either. Got two weeks to decide. So, anyway, don't know that anyone cares, but that's what I've got going on atm. |
Someone post me a link to the new EW. Since I started this topic on the old board I figured I'd give it a try again and try purchasing EWR.
|
<font color=goldenrod>Good stuff Loopy. :y:
I too also make sure to fire Kevin Nash immediately (unless he agrees to be a manager or authority figure for a lesser contract.....which is almost never) I hate to waste his charisma, but he's too expensive and never puts over anyone good</font> :( |

The show got an 85% overall rating, which is my best TNA show yet.
Extreme Mail Team 3D: The last feud was well booked, and has really helped us both. Thanks! Jeff Jarrett: That last feud rocked, it has helped my career a lot! We got a 0.71 buy rate for 'Slammiversary'! The attendance was 8571 people. We made $1775000 from pay-per-view revenue. We made $342840 from ticket sales. That went way better than I expected. I was concerned about the show not clicking after putting in so much work, but everything went off really well. Now I need to find stuff for all the guys whose feuds just ended to do, but I'll think of something. Probably going to have Jarrett vs. Daniels for the title at No Surrender. Possibly Team 3D vs. Abyss & Sabu. Beyond that, no clue. I have seven weeks to come up with a card. |
Played on the latest TEW demo a few times, seems ok but I don't think I will buy it.
|
Just started a new TNA game (as a Cutting Edge fed) with TEW2005...
Right now I've vacated the world title and am hoping that Jarrett doesn't leave, at least until the end of the tourney where he'll lose to Raven in a gimmick match that I haven't decided on yet. Going to put the X Division championship up at Bound for Glory in a 25 minute (at least) 10 man battle royal. Pin/Submission only. I've also got Christian feuding with Monty Brown and actually got an A match with them. I gave Christian "The Peep's Cage" for his talk show. I'm going to do a 3 way Tag feud soon with Team 3-D, AMW, and another team which I'll sign and bring in. |
LOL, holy shit Jarrett is an asshole.
I had Bound for Glory just now (the night after losing my Spike TV show) and had a fair show with a battle royal and a TLC match and a few other matches, including Daniels going over AJ for the title (after winning the battle royal). But Jarrett is an asshole and screwed the end of the tourney storyline by refusing to job to Raven... So, I had to improvise... First, I had a match where Raven and Jarrett drew. Next, I had Bret come out and announce that he's making a triple threat... Raven, Jarrett, and the debuting Sting. (I was going to start Raven/Sting at the end of the PPV anyway,), Jarrett still refused to lose, so then I had Bret just take Jarrett out of the match after he won via count out and Raven beat Sting. I'm never using Jarrett again. I'm going to fire his ass if I can, and if not I'll just... Not use him, since he has creative control. |
I have two more newly-minted main eventers. AJ Styles and Sean Waltman bring my main-event total to nine people. That's kinda nuts for TNA.
AJ Styles Alex Shelley Chris Sabin Christian Cage Christopher Daniels Jeff Jarrett Raven Rhino Sean Waltman Since I have so damned much time until the next PPV (SEVEN weeks!), I started a 16-man double-elimination tournament to decide who would face Jarrett for the title. The plan right now is for Christopher Daniels to win the tournament, beating his rival Raven in the finals (after Raven knocks him into the losers' bracket in the third round). Early tourney wins are what put AJ and Waltman into the main event. The tournament is made up of the eight guys who aren't Jarrett listed above as well as Jeff Hardy, Abyss, Ron Killings, Sabu, and both members of Team 3D and America's Most Wanted. I planned out every outcome of every match for the next seven weeks, so I hope I don't have any setbacks like injuries or AJ going back into rehab. James Storm actually is hurt, but he hurt himself at a house show the day after he got his second loss of the tournament to AJ, so it worked out okay. So far I'm planning: World Title: Jeff Jarrett vs. Christopher Daniels Tag Team Titles: Team 3D vs. Abyss & Sabu Undetermined Gimmick Match (Feud-Ender): Matt Bentley vs. CM Punk Christian Cage vs. Sean Waltman Rhino vs. Raven (These guys have put on several 100% quality matches) Also, I released A-1, Eric Young, and Scott D'Amore (who insisted on leaving when I released A-1) and signed Chris Hero, Sexxxy Eddie, and Sonny Siaki to developmental deals. I'll probably bring in Hero and Siaki on the Impact after the PPV, since Jerry Jarrett thinks they've learned all they'll learn down there. It's odd, though. Beyond my top couple of tiers of guys, I really don't use that many people. Siaki and Hero will just get lost in the shuffle (as Siaki did once before when I released him the first time when I was cutting costs) like the Team Canada members did. |
I've been doing pretty good with TNA. My main two feuds are AJ Styles/Raven (Going to have AJ go over in the end) and Christian/Samoa Joe/Rhino.
I recently signed the Steiner brothers and they're feuding with 3D. I lost two of my PPV deals (the PPV was a B but Armageddon was the same night so it messed everything up I think) but have been gaining ratings every week (by about 5,000 viewers) for Tuesday Night Impact live at 12 on Comedy Central. Christian is the wrestler of the year and had the match of the year with Somoa Joe. |
Argh, been here since the start and people ignore me. :(
Link to the newest version of the game... please :'( |
http://www.greydogsoftware.com/tew/
$35 but in my opinion worth every penny, although it takes time to learn because there are so many options. Anyway, I just gave AJ the title and Christian and Samoa Joe are in a best of seven feud for the NWA North American championship. I'm going to give it to Joe and then move Christian onto AJ where he'll win the title at either Slamiversery or the next PPV. Joe/Christian ALWAYS gives me A* matches. I finished their original feud (with Rhino who got lost in the mix) at the last PPV and started the Best of Seven. If both Christian and Joe stay, in about a year or so they're going to be in a world title feud. I also renamed Lockdown to Global War because I don't want a PPV full of cage matches... And my commentary team is Joey Styles (lead) and Bobby Heenan (color). Oh, and never sign the Steiner Brother in TEW 2005 T-zone mod. Scott can't even work an eight minute tag match. |
Ok, just purchased it. Now someone wanna link me to the patch to get a legit roster for all federations?
Also, Mackem you should buy it. You and I were the two guys who started playing together :( |
Give him in his own belt, the Jarrett world title or something, that might keep him happy. Bastard.

Ron Killings is now a main eventer. Hmm... I have ten main eventers now, and there are only two weeks until Sacrifice. Maybe I'll have a ten-man battle royal for the title be the main event. But battle royals usually suck... Guess I'll think about it. Public Image is up to 89%. A couple more months like this, and I'll be able to go global. Look out, Vince and c-feds! |

Has there been a RaveX update for EWR 4 since the one they put out last April? I'm really far too lazy to go to the trouble of doing a thorough update with the File Editor, particularly after spending months working on that c-fed scenario. But I'd really like to do an updated WWE game with all the new people/teams/stables whatever.
Basically, I don't want to have to create Nick Nemeth to have a Spirit Squad. |
I fell like such a n00b tonight, can someone give me a working link to download?
|
Erm... you are a noob are you not?
|
:shifty: ...um maybe
|
I can't be arsed to find the link but if you type ewr battleground into google and sign up to the forum they have a semi-regular update for EWR.
Was playing EWR at home before I came back to uni and manage to get PWG up to the biggest company in the world  |
Decided to pick back up with my TNA booking that I hadn't touched in a couple of months.
I'm up to the last Impact before Victory Road 2006, and this is the PPV card: World Title: Raven (c) vs. Rhino Rhino wins a six-man tournament in the weeks leading up to VR to earn the title shot. X Title: Chris Sabin (c) vs. CM Punk Punk beat Super Dragon and Petey Williams at BFG to earn the title shot. Tag Titles: Team 3D (c) vs. T&A (Train & Andrew Martin) T&A debuted by laying 3D out with the belts and challenging them for this match. Ron Killings vs. Jeff Jarrett Christian Cage vs. Sean Waltman AJ Styles vs. Charlie Haas Three of my biggest feuds right now. Six-Man Tag Match: Triple X & Simon Diamond vs. America's Most Wanted & Mark Magnus Magnus, the newest member of Planet Jarrett, teams with his stablemates AMW against the recently-reunited Triple X and Primetime's "Diamonds In The Rough" mentor Diamond. Triple Threat: Kip James vs. Alex Shelley vs. Sabu Basically just an excuse to get my three unbooked main-eventers a PPV match. === I have a pretty stacked roster now. Main Event AJ Styles (Face) Alex Shelley (Heel) Charlie Haas (Heel) Chris Sabin (Face) Christian Cage (Face) Jeff Jarrett (Heel) Kip James (Face) Raven (Heel) Rhino (Face) Sabu (Heel) - Managed by James Mitchell Sean Waltman (Heel) Upper Midcard Abyss (Heel) - Managed by James Mitchell Andrew Martin (Heel) Chris Harris (Heel) CM Punk (Heel) - Managed by Traci Frank Shamrock (Face) Jeff Hardy (Face) La Parka (Face) Mark Magnus (Heel) Petey Williams (Heel) Ron Killings (Face) Samoa Joe (Heel) Sonny Siaki (Face) Super Dragon (Face) Team 3D (Faces) Triple X (Faces) Midcard Austin Aries (Heel) Chris Hero (Heel) James Storm (Heel) Matt Bentley (Face) Simon Diamond (Face) Train (Heel) Lower Midcard Jack Evans (Heel) Lightning (Heel) Roderick Strong (Heel) Shane Sewell (Face) Thunder (Heel) Non-Wrestlers Jerry Lawler (Face) Larry Zbyszko (Face) Plus, I have a ton of guys in my developmental territory that I'll probably push hard once they get called up. Guys like Sean Morley, Sonjay Dutt, Paul Burchill, Matt Sydal, N8 Mattson, Matt Stryker, etc. |
I just finished 2006. I had 23 of the top 100 wrestlers in 2006.
AJ Styles (1), Super Dragon (3), CM Punk (5), Christian Cage (7), Chris Hero (13), Christopher Daniels (14), Alex Shelley (16), Sonny Siaki (19), Simon Diamond (22), Charlie Haas (23), Matt Stryker (26 even though he's still in my developmental league), Ron Killings (29), Sean Waltman (39), Paul Burchill (52 also still in development), Jeff Hardy (62 his contract ran out on 1/1 and I didn't resign him), Chris Sabin (68), Sonjay Dutt (71), Petey Williams (72), Austin Aries (75), Chris Harris (80), Matt Bentley (88), Samoa Joe (96), and Jeff Jarrett (100) The top two promotions are the c-feds NCW and TNA (which is sort of unfair since I gave both of them tons of money so that they'd be easier to play). I'm in third, so I'm going to pretend like I'm #1. :D But check out the rest of the rankings. It's REALLY weird: #1: NWA-TNA #2: Combat Zone Wrestling (Yeah. I know.) #3: International Wrestling Cartel #4: IWA: Puerto Rico #5: World Wrestling Entertainment So, not only did I pass WWE, so did CZW, IWC, and IWAPR? WWE has slipped down to Cult status! Also, I'm at 96% public image, so I think I'll probably climb into the Global range after Final Resolution. |
I just got fired :'(
There were three weeks to go until No Surrender '07. The industry was in a huge slump (only about 10-15% of peak), but TNA was easily the #1 promotion in the world. Ratings were low, but we were still drawing triple the next best show. I had just bought Full Impact Pro, so I was integrating some new guys into the roster, but I was still making money. I have no idea why I got canned. Pisses me off... Guess I'll go searching for Battleground to get an update. [Expletive deleted] |
Hmm...anywhere I could still d/l this ish? It's been a while and I had to reinstall windows a few months ago.
|
The Battleground boards are messed up. None of the links work properly.
Maybe I'll just wait till I get paid and then break down and buy TEW. |
Just downloaded the High Voltage update from Battleground. Looks pretty good (and I did some tweaking of my own). I think this week, I'll start a WWE scenario with ECW as a third brand. Haven't totally decided yet, but that's kinda the way I'm leaning.
|
I did some major tweaking today, and now I think I'm set to start. I added ECW as a third brand with a Wednesday night show on USA.
I made up some background about how the brand came about. RVD loses to John Cena at ONS, but opens the MITB briefcase to reveal the ECW World Title. Super Crazy beats Gregory Helms for the Cruiserweight Title at Judgment Day and Paul Heyman renames the belt the ECW Television Title. MNM split up, with Joey Matthews going back to his ECW roots. Seeing the Tag Team Division in shambles, Vince awards the now-vacant WWE Tag Team Titles to the Spirit Squad, moving them (as well as tag specialists Danny Basham, Rene Dupree, and Rob Conway) to SmackDown. Heyman manages to swipe the World Tag Team Titles and awards them to the last ECW Tag Team Champions, Danny Doring and Roadkill. Vince finally realizes that it just doesn't make any sense to have women on the SD roster, since there's no Women's Title over there. So, he sends Jillian, Kristal, Melina, Sharmell, and Stacy to RAW. To further even out the rosters, a two-for-one trade is made, sending Booker T and Johnny Nitro to RAW for Kane. With the Cruiserweight Title now the ECW Television Title, the WWE cruisers have no reason to stay with WWE, so they all jump ship to ECW. The ECW faithful don't care for the influx of new people, effectively turning all of them heel. The biggest coup is that Rey Misterio Jr. goes back to ECW, vacating the World Heavyweight Title. I haven't figured out how I'm going to decide a new champion. Probably a massive tournament, as I am a well-documented tournament geek. Oh, also CM Punk and Chuck Palumbo had learned all they're going to in OVW, so I sent Punk to RAW and Palumbo to SD. So, after all of that, here are the rosters. RAW (Announcers - Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler) Main Event Faces - John Cena, Shawn Michaels Main Event Heels - Edge, Triple H Upper Midcard Faces - Big Show, Ric Flair Upper Midcard Heels - Booker T Midcard Faces - Carlito, Snitsky, Trish Stratus Midcard Heels - Chris Masters, CM Punk, Johnny Nitro, Mickie James, Shelton Benjamin Lower Midcard Faces - Ashley Massaro, Charlie Haas, Eugene, Goldust, Val Venis, Viscera Lower Midcard Heels - Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Umaga, Victoria Openers - Beth Phoenix (Face), Matt Striker (Heel) Face Managers - Jillian Hall, Kristal Marshall, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson Heel Managers - Armando Alejandro Estrada, Candice Michelle, Jonathan Coachman, Momma Benjamin, Melina, Sharmell Non-Wrestlers - Eric Bischoff (Heel), Jerry Lawler (Face), Stephanie McMahon (Heel) SmackDown! |
<font color=goldenrod>Looks good loopy, I need to get back into this stuff</font>
|
Okay, I started over with the second High Voltage update, since they had all the updated ECW stuff.
So, I've decided that in the weeks leading up to Summerslam to vacate the WWE Title. And I set up a World Cup-like tournament to decide the new champion. Eight groups of four (there are exactly 32 guys on RAW) play round-robin style for six weeks. The top two in each group advance to four fatal-fourway matches in week seven. The four winners there advance to the semifinals. Both semis and the title match happen at Summerslam on week eight. GROUP A - Charlie Haas, Eugene, "Kane" (the fake), and Triple H GROUP B - Carlito, Mitch, Nicky, and Shelton Benjamin GROUP C - Edge, Johnny, Kenny, and Robbie McAllister GROUP D - Chris Masters, Lance Cade, Randy Orton, and Rory McAllister GROUP E - Matt Striker, Rob Conway, Shawn Michaels, and Umaga GROUP F - Kane, Rene Dupree, Snitsky, and Val Venis GROUP G - John Cena, Johnny Parisi, Mikey, and Viscera GROUP H - Danny Basham, Johnny Nitro, Ric Flair, and Trevor Murdoch But before that is the Great American Bash, and I'm going to build toward: World Title - Rey Mysterio vs. Booker T United States Title - Lashley vs. Finlay Tag Team Titles - London & Kendrick vs. Kid Kash & Jamie Noble Cruiserweight Title - Gregory Helms vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Joey Mercury #1 Contender - Batista vs. The Undertaker Chris Benoit vs. Mark Henry Paul Burchill vs. William Regal Matt Hardy vs. Chuck Palumbo |
Change to the GAB card. I removed Joey Mercury from the match and put him against Matt Hardy. I'm moving Palumbo to RAW (he hasn't debuted yet) to replace Randy Orton...
...who is out eight months with a broken neck. I was actually giving strong consideration to having him either win the tournament or at least make the final four. I had my first ECW show. The match quality and crowd reaction were good, but the show was a dud. I hate when that happens. I had a 90% quality RVD/Angle main event with crowd reaction in the 80s, but it only got a 77% overall. |
<font color=goldenrod>I REALLY like the Raw World Title Cup idea, loopy.
Anyways, after playing some old EWR game I had (where Sean O'Haire was my mega over World Champ...good times), I'm kinda getting back into it. Do you think you could link me to that roster update?</font> |
|
At GAB, I had Rey drop the title to King Booker. So the SD main event for Summerslam is going to be Batista vs. Booker for the title.
Also, since I had no time to build up anything for the Hardy/Mercury match, I wound up just having Khali come out and destroy both guys. Must have worked, because now Khali's a midcarder. Mistaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Kennedy also got moved up into the midcard. |
<font color=goldenrod>Thanks Sid.
Gonna try and get started tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm thinking of setting my computer clock to December (so I'll start with the Royal Rumble). From there, I'll vacate all world titles and unify all 3. All 3 brands will select 10 participants for the Rumble, the winner is the Undisputed champion (and must subsequently perform on all 3 brands) sorta like how it was when the brand split started. Also, I'm obviously gonna have to try and get ECW and probably Smackdown a better time slot.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>Got started today.
Made a few development deal signings, mainly a bunch of young unknowns that I've seen at indy shows. I also signed Tony DeVito and The Blue Meanie to development deals so I will use them in ECW at some point. All world titles are now vacated. I've decided that, instead of putting the belts on the line at the Rumble, I'm gonna let Rey and RVD fight for the Undisputed belt. The Rumble will still be for #1 Contendership. Haven't made many changes to the current roster, except I sent most of the RAW divas down to OVW so they can develop actual in-ring skills. I also sent Fake Kane down because he sucks at the moment and I don't plan on using him. Also, unlike in real life, I'm keeping Randy Orton on SmackDown! so as to not rape their roster (even if Batista and Taker are gonna be back full time) Some notes: Raw - I'm running with the real-life DX vs. McMahons feud, because it helps bring in ratings and I won't have to deal with Triple H bitching about me not giving him the World Title. I've also noticed the roster is hella unbalanced, way more heels than faces. To change this, I'm gonna turn Johnny Parisi and hook him up with Torrie Wilson, a face version of the Nitro/Melina pairing, and they'll feud. Hopefully it'll get Parisi over. FIRST WEEK: 75% Overall, 6.87 Rating ECW - It really sucks having only 6 slots to work with because its impossible to book a show without laving out some big names. I had to omit The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer from the first week. Still, CM Punk and Test made their ECW debuts. I started and ended my first ECW show with two great matches: Angle vs. Storm and Sabu vs. RVD. I'm thinking about having Chuck Palumbo debut next week as the newest member of The FBI. FIRST WEEK: 74% Overall, 3.58 Rating (definately gonna ask for a better timeslot at some point) SmackDown! - I had The Undertaker make his return to full-time wrestling by defeating his nemesis, The Great Khali. Unfortunately, his mouthpiece Daivairi was injured and will be out 7 months. I used this as an excuse to get Khali in OVW, but they told me he wouldn't improve. Oh well. He's at least pretty well over (70). I also had Vito defeat Matt Hardy cleanly (trying to push Vito of course), but it did nothing for his overness. FIRST WEEK: 74% Overall, 5.91 Rating (dunno much about ratings but it sounds good for a Friday night) --- Overall it feels good to play this game again. Feels weird trying to book against my will though. In past games I've turned it into a show that totally appeases smarks and smarks only. But with the lack of talent of many guys on the roster, I've gotta ignore that.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>After just 3 shows, I got ECW promoted to Prime Time
Thank fuck. Anyways, barring any injuries here's my finalized Royal Rumble card (I still have about a week's worth of shows to book): <b><u>Royal Rumble Match</u> RAW:</b> Chris Masters, Edge, John Cena, Johnny Nitro, Kane, Kenny, Ric Flair, Snitsky, Umaga <b>SmackDown!:</b> Batista, Booker T, Joey Mercury, Ken Kennedy, Lashley, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, William Regal <b>ECW:</b> Big Show, Gangrel, Kurt Angle, Lance Storm, Masato Tanaka, Sabu, Test, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer -Each brand will have one mystery entrant Undisputed Championship: Rob Van Dam vs. Rey Mysterio Raw Matches - DX vs. The McMahons WWE Intercontinental Championship: Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito ECW Matches - I Quit Match: Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk ECW Television Championship: CM Punk vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri SmackDown! Matches - WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Gregory Helms vs. Chavo Guerrero Submission Match: Finlay vs. Chris Benoit ----- I would have liked to squeeze London/Kendrick vs. The Pitbulls on there. Oh well, probably better to save it for No Way Out anyway.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>Fucking Tanaka decided he couldn't deal with his alcohol problem for 2 more days, so now I gotta find a replacement for the Rumble.
Anyways, here's results. Pre-Show: To give the fans a taste of the interpromotional chaos they're gonna see later, Smackdown's Vito took on ECW's Chuck Palumbo and Raw's Charlie Haas in a triple threat match. Vito ultimately won, hitting the Code of Silence on Haas. **1/2, 69% Overall -Match 1: CM Punk defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri to become the ECW Television Champion. After the match, Punk shook hands with Tajiri, only to cheap shot him. Awesome quality wise, but the crowd couldn't get into it. ****, 80% Overall (The ECW Television Title has gained in image) -Match 2: Gregory Helms defeated Chavo Guerrero to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Title. Helms pulled one out of the Guerrero playbook and cheated to win. Helms hightailed it after. ***1/2, 79% Overall (The WWE Cruiserweight Title has gained in image) -Match 3: DX defeated The McMahons in a wild contest that saw Stephanie McMahon come in and blast her father with a chair, turning her face. (Yeah, I went with what I think will happen in real life). This match had an awesome crowd and managed a surprising 73% Quality. ***, 88% Overall (Stephanie's new gimmick and turn got her more over) -Match 4: Carlito defeated Shelton Benjamin to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion when Momma Benjamin made her "long awaited" return, and got knocked off the apron again due to a Shelton miscue. ***1/2, 83% Overall (The WWE Intercontinental Title has gained in image) -Match 5: Chris Benoit defeated Finlay in a submission match via Crippler Crossface. The match was shockingly bad considering the similarity in Benoit/Finlay's styles. The crowd also couldn't get into it. **3/4, 70% Overall -Match 6: Mick Foley defeated Terry Funk in an I Quit Match following a sick bump by Terry. Not particularly good, but still better than the previous match. **3/4, 79% Overall -Match 7: It is now time for the 2007 Royal. Rumble. MATCH!!! As strange fate would have it, Kane and The Undertaker were the first two entries. Anyways, mystery entrants: Muhammad Hassan made his shocking return, this time coming to ECW. Joel Gertner ended up being the man who replaced Tanaka, announcing that he was now Tanaka's manager (hey, he was a comedy entry). JBL was revealed as the SD mystery entry when he got up from the announce table and entered. Finally, Chris Jericho was Raw's mystery entry. Tommy Dreamer was the lucky man who got #30, but he didn't last very long before being eliminated by Ric Flair. In the end, it was ECW's Kurt Angle (Entry #22) who won it all, last eliminating Jericho. **3/4, 74% Overall...no big deal, these never seem to get good ratings -Match 8: In the evening's final contest, Rob Van Dam defeated Rey Mysterio to become the Undisputed Champion. While RVD's contract still lies with ECW, he now has the right to compete on all shows until he loses the belt. ***1/4, 82% Overall OVERALL SHOW RATING: 80% The show drew a 1.68 buy rate The attendance was 18152 people. We made $4200000 from pay-per-view revenue. We made $1089120 from ticket sales. My Public Image also went up 3% after this show.</font> |
Good show, Vito. I don't know what it is, but I can never get a good score from Finlay matches. Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I'd do another couple of shows, but I'm at my parents' house for a couple of days while my car is in the shop, so I don't have access to my computer. I have one more set of matches for the group-play segment of the WWE Title touranment, then I'll post the final group standings and the tournament brackets. |
<font color=goldenrod>Nice loopy, I'm looking forward to seeing how that "World Cup" went.
----- Some end of month notes for January: -Out of my MASSIVE OVW roster, only 1 guy wants out. That guy is Jack Bull. He has abyssmal charisma and only 33 overness. Still, he does have decent brawl numbers and OK technical. I'll give him a tryout match on the next ECW show against Justin Credible or something. If that bombs, Bull might go bye bye. He's 35 years old anyway. -CW Anderson has announced that he will retire in one month. Crap :( -Jim Duggan has decided to become a non-wrestler. Pfft, like I'll ever use him anyway. -Chavo Sr., Jimmy Hart, Yoshiaki Fujiwara, and Zorka will all retire in one month. -Gregory Helms and Snitsky are two of many down to the final 3 months of their deals. I'll get to them later, there's still 2-month people left to re-sign. -We made $2400000 off merchandise this month. -The following birthdays occured this month: Shane McMahon (37), Jazz (30), Hardcore Holly (44), CW Anderson (36), Jim Duggan (53), Batista (38), Kevin Fertig (30), Danny Giamundo (30), Ron Zombie (27), Snitsky (37), Chris Masters (24), Krissy Vaine (26), Nikita (29), Seth Skyfire (27), Michelle McCool (27), Mitch (26), Finlay (49) Christ, I have way too many workers Might release Finlay...he just got THAT much older and his ratings have further plummeted. Even Holly has better brawl/speed/overness than Finlay. Problem is it'll piss off Booker and Lance.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>BREAKING NEWS: WWE signs two
-According to many sources, WWE has come to terms on contracts with two independent workers. While WWE has refused to name names, it has been whispered that a certain company is going to be very unhappy about this. I've also decided to make the last day of the month the official cut down day. Mark Henry will certainly be a victim in February. I just wish I would have thought about the new signings one day earlier, then I wouldn't have to have an extra $98,000 against my payroll in February.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>SHOCKING RETURN
On the latest edition of WWE SmackDown!, Undisputed Champion Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton. Following the defeat, Van Dam was assaulted by an unknown masked man. That man unmasked to reveal himself as none other than <b>Christian Cage</b>, who then gave a speech, stating that he has come back for the title.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>Alright, so I turned Rob Conway face and had him shed the Con-Man stuff and become a no gimmick needed hardass. He came out and saved Eugene after losing a match to Kenny w/ help from Mikey.
Netx week I'm gonna have Eugene show up in the same gimmick, and have Conway claim that he has "reinvented" him to be the way he should be. The Lords of the Ring will then topple the Spirit Squad for the Tag Titles. After that, I will more than likely send Mitch and Nicky to OVW. Kenny, Mikey and Johnny all are talented and/or over enough to stick around, but I might just send them all down at once and bring back the gimmick upon return. With the SS gone, I'd be left with Cade & Murdoch as my only heel tag team, so it's a reason to keep them around. Not sure yet. Another idea is to just make the tag belts like the Undisputed Title and have them float between brands, because right now the division is a mess until people in OVW are ready.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>My other big signing, Raven, made his debut at the last ECW on Sci-Fi. He's gonna be 42 in September and his only good stat is brawl, so I signed him to just a 6 month deal.
I also released Jack Bull after his tryout match was a dud. His overness was only 33 so I decided to move him down to Jobber (he never would have been more than that with me) to see if he'd stay. But he was unhappy and wanted to be released. So I granted him his wish and managed to save myself $24,000. Cool. Also, Cena got his stupid self injured for the rest of February.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>I might stop playing soon.
All of my main eventers are pissed because I'm not using them on every show, despite there being a brand split. :| Angle is down to 6 morale. Unfair. -EDIT- OK, found a solution...sorta. Just demote them to Jobber and then back up to the main event. If they have creative control, make them a manager until their show is up again. Only person this hasn't worked on is The Undertaker, who is down to 35% morale and won't go down the card. Might give him the axe because he's an asshole with his creative control.</font> |
Raw got canceled.
After less than a month. With no warning. ... I'll start over with a different promotion. Damn. |
<font color=goldenrod>Oh man Loopy, that sucks.
Its really retarded too. That would never happen in real life. --- Anyways, I'm at my dad's now, but I downloaded the game and updates here too. Unfortunately, Hotmail screwed up and I couldn't properly receive my WWE game files. So I started a new game as TNA for when I'm over here. Before I started, I released Johnny Parisi from WWE and re-named him Johnny Swinger. I also put Norman Smiley in TNA, because Norman rules. GETTING STARTED: First things first, I signed the four interested sponsors that would offer me the most money: Viacom Inc. (Major), THQ, Stacker 2, and Columbia Pictures. They will all net me around $700,000 a show, which will come in handy. Next, I took a look at my roster. The only people under written deals were Sting and Christy Hemme. I decided to sign as many people as possible to written deals (well, the ones I was gonna actually use fairly regularly at least). This way, as I progress, WWE can't take them and it'll save money on the whole. After signings, the following people are now under written contract: Abyss Andy Douglas BG James Bobby Roode Chase Stevens Chris Sabin Christopher Daniels Christy Hemme Eric Young Hernandez Homicide James Mitchell Jay Lethal Jeff Hardy Johnny Devine Konnan Mark Copani (new signing  ) Matt Bentley Monty Brown Norman Smiley Petey Williams Raven Ron Killings Samoa Joe Scott D'Amore (making him a regular wrestler now because he actually has decent enough talent) Senshi Shane Douglas (gonna be my main authority figure) Shark Boy Simon Diamond Sting My goal is to be able to get other guys to written deals (particularly Christian Cage and AJ Styles) I tried to convince Jericho (open deal with WWE) to come to TNA, but he would have none of it...not even on an Open contract :( I started with just $6 million, so I decided to get the staff improved. Released the crap staff members and signed better people. And last but not least, I shortlisted 15 WWE workers and sent out a tape to Fox just for the hell of it.</font> |
I'm going to start an ROH game. But here's how the World Cup was supposed to go:
Group A Day 1 Charlie Haas over Eugene Triple H over "Kane" Day 2 "Kane" over Charlie Haas Triple H over Eugene Day 3 (never happened) Triple H over Charlie Haas "Kane" over Eugene Standings Triple H 3-0 "Kane" 2-1 Charlie Haas 1-2 Eugene 0-3 Group B Day One Carlito over Mitch Shelton Benjamin over Nicky Day Two (never happened) Carlito over Nicky Shelton Benjamin over Mitch Day Three (never happened) Shelton Benjamin over Carlito Mitch over Nicky Standings Shelton Benjamin 3-0 Carlito 2-1 Mitch 1-2 Nicky 0-3 Group C Day One Edge over Robbie McAllister Kenny over Johnny Day Two Edge over Johnny Kenny over Robbie McAllister Day Three (never happened) Edge over Kenny Johnny over Robbie McAllister Standings Edge 3-0 Kenny 2-1 Johnny 1-2 Robbie McAllister 0-3 Group D Day One Chris Masters over Lance Cade Chuck Palumbo over Rory McAllister Day Two (never happened) Chris Masters over Rory McAllister Lance Cade over Chuck Palumbo Day Three (never happened) Chris Masters over Chuck Palumbo Lance Cade over Rory McAllister Standings Chris Masters 3-0 Lance Cade 2-1 Chuck Palumbo 1-2 Rory McAllister 0-3 Day E Day One Rob Conway over Umaga Shawn Michaels over Matt Striker Day Two Matt Striker over Rob Conway Shawn Michaels over Umaga Day Three (never happened) Shawn Michaels over Rob Conway Matt Striker over Umaga (DQ) Standings Shawn Michaels 3-0 Matt Striker 2-1 Rob Conway 1-2 Umaga 0-3 Group F Day One Kane over Val Venis Rene Dupree over Snitsky Day Two (never happened) Kane over Rene Dupree Val Venis over Snitsky Day Three (never happened) Kane over Snitsky Rene Dupree over Val Venis Standings Kane 3-0 Rene Dupree 2-1 Val Venis 1-2 Snitsky 0-3 Group G Day One John Cena over Johnny Parisi Viscera over Mikey Day Two John Cena over Viscera Mikey over Johnny Parisi Day Three (never happened) John Cena over Mikey Viscera over Johnny Parisi Standings John Cena 3-0 Viscera 2-1 Mikey 1-2 Johnny Parisi 0-3 Group H Day One Johnny Nitro over Danny Basham Ric Flair over Trevor Murdoch Day Two (never happened) Johnny Nitro over Trevor Murdoch Ric Flair over Danny Basham Day Three (never happened) Ric Flair over Johnny Nitro Trevor Murdoch over Danny Basham Standings Ric Flair 3-0 Johnny Nitro 2-1 Trevor Murdoch 1-2 Danny Basham 0-3 QUARTERFINALS Edge over Carlito, Lance Cade, and Triple H Shelton Benjamin over Chris Masters, "Kane," and Kenny Shawn Michaels over John Cena, Johnny Nitro, and Rene Dupree Kane over Matt Striker, Ric Flair, and Viscera SEMIFINALS Edge over Shelton Benjamin Shawn Michaels over Kane TITLE MATCH Edge over Shawn Michaels Originally, I wanted Shelton vs. Orton to be the first semi match, but Orton's neck injury prevented that. Ah, well. My plan was to have Edge and HBK feud over the belt, so it didn't affect the overall finish. |
Okay, after the huge disappointment of what happened with my WWE game, I started over with Ring Of Honor. I don't know much about ROH, so I think I'll feel less constrained by storylines and things. Right off the bat, I signed as many people to written contracts as I could, including:
Ace Steel Adam Pearce BJ Whitmer Bryan Danielson Chad Collyer Claudio Castagnoli Colt Cabana Delirious Jay Briscoe Jimmy Jacobs Jimmy Rave Julius Smokes Lacey Mark Briscoe Prince Nana Ricky Reyes Everyone else (with an overness of 25+) either has touring commitments in Japan or also works for TNA, so they won't sign a written deal with me. I brought in Electronic Arts, Domino's Pizza, Sega, and New Line Cinema as sponsors. I signed a bunch of staff members to fill holes. I also sent a video to TBS to try and get a TV deal. Here's my first show card: ROH - Testing The Limit 8/13/06 World Title - Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Homicide (w/Julius Smokes) Pure Title - Samoa Joe vs. Nigel McGuinness (c) Tag Team Titles - Austin Aries and Roderick Strong vs. The Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark) AJ Styles vs. Alex Shelley (w/Prince Nana) Christopher Daniels (w/Allison Danger) vs. Claudio Castagnoli KENTA vs. Jimmy Rave (w/Prince Nana) Second City Saints (Ace Steel & Colt Cabana) vs. Havana Pitbulls (Black Tiger IV & Ricky Reyes) |
I had to make some changes to the show, since I neglected to take touring schedules into account. Both KENTA and Nigel McGuinness were on a tour for NOAH on the 13th. So, I just combined their matches into Joe vs. Jimmy Rave. I also added Chad Collyer vs. Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer vs. Jack Evans.
--------- Pre-Show Christopher Daniels did an interview to hype his match with Claudio Castagnoli. Rating: 75% Segment Two BJ Whitmer over Jack Evans with the Super WC Exploder. After the match, the opponents shake hands. Rating: 57% Crowd: 37% Match: 78% Segment Three Chad Collyer over Jimmy Jacobs with a Texas Cloverleaf. Rating: 63% Crowd: 42% Match: 84% Segment Four Havana Pitbulls over Second City Saints when Black Tiger IV (Rocky Romero) pinned Ace Steel with a Tombstone after The Briscoe Brothers interfered. After the match, the Briscoes continued their assault. Rating: 66% Crowd: 51% Match: 81% Segment Five The Briscoe Brothers over Austin Aries and Roderick Strong to win the ROH Tag Team Titles. Bottom Segment: BJ Whitmer vs. Jack Evans. ------------------------------------------- -EDIT- So, now for Glory By Honor, I'm going to do: World Title - Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Austin Aries Tag Titles - Second City Saints vs. The Briscoe Brothers (c) AJ Styles and Samoa Joe vs. Alex Shelley and Homicide El Hijo Del Santo vs. L.A. Par-K Christopher Daniels vs. Jimmy Rave Jack Evans & Roderick Strong vs. Havana Pitbulls Chad Collyer vs. Claudio Castagnoli Adam Pearce vs. Jimmy Jacobs Davey Richards vs. Delirious vs. Matt Sydal I released all of the openers and jobbers and signed El Hijo Del Santo and L.A. Par-K. NOAH is touring throughout September, so I'm going to be without Nigel and KENTA again. -EDIT AGAIN- BJ Whitmer tore his calf. Out for nine months. Good thing I signed him to a written contract. :( |
<font color=goldenrod>Damn loopy, you get the worst luck in this game :( Still, the card looks very solid :y:
Anyways, I decided to vacate all titles and bring in the NWA North American Title (since I need an extra belt in there) I also filled out all my feud slots. My first Impact show ended up netting a ridiculous 4.40 rating, and after that Spike TV decided to bump me up to prime time. Good thing WWE runs Smackdown on Fridays now. Now I'll have 11 slots to work with instead of 6, and I can put over the majority of my feuds on every show.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>Oh yeah, probably should post the feuds :o I decided to give all previous title holders first dibs at the belts.
MAJOR: Christian Cage (Face) vs. Chris Kanyon (Heel) - NWA World Heavyweight Title Feud Christopher Daniels (Face) vs. Senshi (Heel) - NWA X Division Title Feud AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy (Face) vs. America's Most Wanted (Heel) - NWA Tag Title Feud ---------- OTHER: Jeff Jarrett (Heel) vs. Sting (Face) - Minor Feud for these guys? Yes, they are over enough as is...the other guys need it more) Team 3D (Face) vs. The James Gang (Face) - Might turn the Gang heel, but I dunno yet. Might make it a mutual respect storyline because I don't want it to be just like the other tag feud. Raven (newly turned heel) vs. Rhino (Face) - This'll probably end up being for the NWA North American Title Abyss (newly turned face) vs. Scott Steiner (Heel) - Mainly gonna use this to get Abyss over. This could also end up for the NWA North American Title, idk Samoa Joe (Heel) vs. Ron Killings (Face) - I really just needed something for Joe to do. His winning streak is meant to still be intact here.</font> |
GODDAMMIT! Samoa Joe broke his [lengthy expletive deleted] leg! He's out seven months! Joe/Shelley was going to be one of my top feuds! AJ Styles vs. Homicide replaces the tag match, and Alex Shelley gets added to the World Title match to make it a triple threat.

<font color=goldenrod>Hahaha, WWE just released practically their entire OVW roster.
I'm pretty much gonna blackball A1, since he's unover and a crap worker. Took him out of Team Canada. Might sign Harry Smith in his stead. -EDIT- Holy shit they just released CM Punk. Gonna jump all over that. -EDIT AGAIN- And now they've released Chris Jericho. Christ, thank you WWE.</font> |
Are y'all still playing EWR or one of the TEW games?
|
<font color=goldenrod>EWR...like fuck I'm paying $35 for a text-based sim.</font>
|
Same. EWR.
I actually just had a huge roster overhaul. TNA went global and gave written deals to AJ Styles, Samoa Joe (who was still out with a broken leg), Christopher Daniels, Homicide, and Low-Ki (who I had JUST signed). So I had to go out and sign a bunch more people. I got Vampiro, Jody Fleisch, Mikey Whipwreck, Vampiro, Donovan Morgan, and Johnny Jeter. Now the card for Vendetta, my first card with my new NEW NEW! lineup: World Title - Bryan Danielson vs. Johnny Jeter Pure Title - Nigel McGuinness vs. Alex Shelley Tag Team Titles (Grudge Match) - Briscoe Brothers vs. Second City Saints Undetermined Gimmick Match - El Hijo Del Santo vs. L.A. Par-K Vampiro vs. Mikey Whipwreck Sean Waltman vs. Jody Fleisch Austin Aries vs. Donovan Morgan Chad Collyer vs. Jimmy Rave KENTA and Generation Next vs. Claudio Castagnoli and Havana Pitbulls |
<font color=goldenrod>That's looking good loopy. I hope I can get people to written once I go global. Stupid Japan.
Anyways, I've sent the files to myself, so I can play on my normal computer later. I've got my first PPV, Hard Justice, coming up already. Haven't even determined a card, but I'll probably just base it all off my feuds (though I'll probably bump one of the matches to the pre-show, just so I can throw a non-feud CM Punk/Jericho match on the card...because I'm paying Jericho the most I wanna use him) I also jumped on some other WWE releases. I signed the entire Spirit Squad and The Miz. They have all been allocated to the TNA Proving Grounds (new development territory). Indy workers Mitch Paradise and J-Busta were also signed (I have to sign Busta in every game it seems :o) Most of the women of TNA were also sent down, as were some others. I might even see if I can send Copani down, because I have no real use for him at the moment.</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>TNA Hard Justice drew a great 82% Overall rating. However it only got me a 0.71 buy rate. Still, I made tons of money.
Probably going to go back into the WWE game tonight</font> |
<font color=goldenrod>Getting back into my WWE game, here's the results for the SmackDown! exclusive PPV, No Way Out 2007:
Pre-Show Segment: OK, regardless of what the commentary says...I pictured JBL gloating and being an asshole to the live audience...saying he's better than everyone despite not wrestling anymore. Undertaker makes a surprise appearance (I was gonna blackball him....but then I realized he's just too damn over) and kicks JBL's ass in a match. <font color=goldenrod>Some end of month notes for February:
FIRST OFF: CUTDOWN DAY WWE would like to formally announce the release of the following superstars: Jonathan Coachman, Momma Benjamin, Big Guido, The Great Khali, and Mark Henry. These are all people I have no immediate use for. Plus, there is a large list of people that will probably be released as soon as some new talent is ready to take over their current positions on the roster. ----- Jazz feels that Ohio Valley Wrestling isn't helping her career much. Alright then, we can use some help in the women's division. ROSTER NOTE: I've also decided to promote Sonny Siaki and Axl Rotten to the full roster. John Cena has returned from injury. Staff member Ricky Steamboat has retired from WWE. :( Ric Flair has decided to become a non-wrestler. Crap. CW Anderson has retired. I have a lot of contracts to renew. My public image and money is rising. The following birthdays occured this month: Big Show (36), Ric Flair (58), Danny Doring (33), Francine (35), Gangrel (38), Masato Tanaka (34), Victoria (36), Viscera (35), Lou E. On the last night of 2006, Ring Of Honor presents "Final Battle."
Tonight's show will be commentated by Jimmy Bauer and the incomparable Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, making his last-ever wrestling show appearance before retiring on January 1. All three ROH titles will be defended, and four of the top new stars in the promotion will battle it out in a tag team main event you won't want to miss. Opening Match - Adam Pearce vs. Matt Sydal The evening starts with a battle between two fan-favorite youngsters, trying to climb their way up the ladder (an increasingly difficult feat with the recent signings). Frustrated over being unable to gain an opening, Pearce removes a turnbuckle cover. The referee never notices. However, Sydal reverses the irish whip and Pearce gets knocked out by the exposed ring. Sydal rolls him up for a three-count. But a second official comes out to reverse the decision, pointing out the exposed buckle. Pearce wins by disqualification! Sydal is enraged and brutalizes the referee with a DDT, walking off to a chorus of boos. Overall Rating: 52% Crowd Reaction: 34% Match Quality: 71% Road Agent Notes: Matt Sydal gained overness from his heel turn. Davey Richards vs. Jimmy Jacobs Things continue to not go well for the fan-favorites, as Jacobs defeats Richards with the Contra Code. Overall Rating: 56% Crowd Reaction: 39% Match Quality: 74% Delirious vs. Claudio Castagnoli Double C has had moderate success over the last few months, but Delirious is hoping to make a name for himself after being left off the last few cards. He does so by picking up a submission victory via the Cobra Clutch Crossface. Overall Rating: 57% Crowd Reaction: 44% Match Quality: 71% Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Rave Aries has had some issues with The Embassy over the last couple of months, capped by Rave costing him a match against Alex Shelley. The feud won't end tonight, though, as interference from a chair-wielding Shelley allows Rave to pick up the victory. Shelley and Rave continue to pummel Aries until Roderick Strong runs in for the save. Overall Rating: 70% Crowd Reaction: 53% Match Quality: 88% Road Agent Notes: Jimmy Rave gained overness from this match. ROH Tag Team Title - Fourway Elimination Match The top four teams in Ring Of Honor collide, with the Second City Saints (Ace Steel & Colt Cabana) defending the titles they recently won from the Briscoe Brothers. Cabana gets the first elimination of the match, pinning Generation Next's Jack Evans with a jumping powerbomb. The Briscoes then pin Ricky Reyes of the Havana Pitbulls following a double backdrop. And once again it's down to the Saints against the Briscoes. For the second month in a row, the Saints defeat their rivals, this time with Steel hitting the Steel Spike on Jay. Overall Rating: 75% Crowd Reaction: 59% Match Quality: 91% Road Agent Notes: The ROH Tag Team Titles have gained in image. Chad Collyer vs. Jody Fleisch Fleisch has made an immediate impact upon his ROH debut, and looked to continue his momentum toward a title match against Chad Collyer. After a solid match, he does so by pinfall following a superkick. Overall Rating: 67% Crowd Reaction: 55% Match Quality: 79% ROH World Title - Bryan Danielson vs. Mikey Whipwreck Former ECW Triple Crown champion Whipwreck came to ROH looking to add the American Dragon's title to his resume. These two put on a wrestling clinic, with several near-falls going both ways. In the end, though, Danielson managed to gain some momentum and, following a top rope DDT, got a submission victory with Cattle Mutilation to retain the title. Overall Rating: 78% Crowd Reaction: 65% Match Quality: 92% Road Agent Notes: The ROH World Title has gained in image. ROH Pure Title - Alex Shelley vs. El Hijo Del Santo Alex Shelley was rewarded for his loyalty to Ring Of Honor by earning a title shot against Nigel McGuinness in October. He won the match, but quickly resorted to his rulebreaking ways. As punishment, Shelley was booked into this match against the Mexican legend looking for mainstream U.S. success. In a night of spectacular matches, this topped them all. In the end, Shelley managed to land Sliced Bread #2 to retain his title. As a show of sportsmanship, Hijo extended a hand afterwards, but Shelley ignored him and continued to show off. Overall Rating: 84% Crowd Reaction: 71% Match Quality: 98% Road Agent Notes: Alex Shelley gained and El Hijo Del Santo lost overness from this match. The ROH Pure Title has gained in image. Sean Waltman & Vampiro vs. Johnny Jeter & L.A. Par-K Four of the top newcomers to ROH (in the recent class of signees including El Hijo Del Santo, Donovan Morgan, Jody Fleisch, and Mikey Whipwreck) converge in tonight's main event. The winning team will go a long way toward solidifying their spots as top contenders in Ring Of Honor. After a solid contest, Vampiro pins the former La Parka following the Nail In The Coffin, sending the fans home happy. Overall Rating: 74% Crowd Reaction: 73% Match Quality: 75% Road Agent Notes: Sean Waltman's new gimmick got a positive response. Overall Show Rating: 71% Match Of The Night: Alex Shelley over El Hijo Del Santo Worst Match: Adam Pearce over Matt Sydal |
Final Battle was attended by 2634 people and gated $79,020.

Dammit! TNA signed L.A. Par-K to a written deal 12 days before the Trios Tournament. Cibernetico is going to take his place in the tournament, but...DAMN!

<font color=goldenrod>Damn. :(
Yeah, EWR seems to fuck you over at the worst possible moments. Anyways, I haven't done any booking since Backlash. Trying to plan out the Mania card as well as the post-Mania draft lottery. So far I have Angle/Edge set as the main event. I'm thinking about having HBK turn on HHH (since I have no idea what else to do with DX) and after a Mania blowoff match, HBK gets drafted by Smackdown in the draft lottery.</font> |
Here are the results.
Qualifier #1 - Vampiro, Chad Collyer, and Adam Pearce vs. Cibernetico & Havana Pitbulls Cibernetico makes his ROH debut in this match, teaming with Ricky Reyes and Rocky "Black Tiger IV" Romero in the opening contest. Overall Rating: 67% Crowd Reaction: 51% Match Quality: 83% Quarterfinal #1 - Sean Waltman, Shocker, and Davey Richards vs. Jody Fleisch, Eric Young, and Claudio Castagnoli A pair of ROH debuts, Shocker and Young, add extra excitement to our first quarterfinal match. Overall Rating: 67% Crowd Reaction: 57% Match Quality: 77% Quarterfinal #3 - Bryan Danielson & Second City Saints vs. Generation Next In a battle of the fan favorites, G:Next attempts to continue their momentum against the ROH World and Tag Team Champions. <font color=goldenrod>Yeah, the fact that the game doesn't understand tourneys REALLY irks me. It's pretty much the only thing keeping me from doing a proper KOTR tourney (though I might have one around August on all 3 shows building up to a triple threat at SummerSlam)</font>

YES! Finally some good news!
I got myself a TV deal. It's a primetime slot on DirecTV on Wednesday nights. I won't be able to get real big ratings, but running a weekly show should definitely help my mounting revenue issues. I did the Anniversary Show. A dud. Damn. But all the titles gained in image, which is good. Only major change was Storm and Whipwreck winning the Tag Team Titles with help from the Briscoes. I'm two TV shows away from Back To Basics. Here's the card: World Title - Bryan Danielson vs. Jody Fleisch Pure Title - Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley Tag Titles - Devon Storm & Mikey Whipwreck vs. El Hijo Del Santo & Shocker Sean Waltman vs. Johnny Jeter Second City Saints vs. Briscoe Brothers Vampiro vs. Donovan Morgan Generation Next vs. Havana Pitbulls Shark Boy vs. Cibernetico Chad Collyer vs. Eric Young |
<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, TV shows are essential when using a small promotion.
Even if the ratings are subpar, you are making money and hopefully increasingly image (which in turn gives you more to spend on merchandising, production, and signing new wrestlers) Its not until national/global status that the ratings become immensely important, I think</font> |
I'm up to about 79% Image at Cult status. I started at 65%, so I'm growing about 2% per month only doing the one show. TV definitely helps with image.
I'm thinking maybe somewhere down the line, setting up an "old-school versus new-school" feud, basically turning the guys I've signed heel to go against the guys who were with ROH when I started. This is still several months off, but the roster is pretty evenly balanced now between people I signed and people I brought in. The only major issue is that most of the guys I've brought in are either main-eventers or upper-midcarders, so the top of the card would be really dominated by heels. Bryan Danielson is really the only homegrown main eventer I have right now. So, like I said, I'll need to wait a while before I do this. Try to get guys like Chad Collyer and Roderick Strong up into the main event first. |
I just found a place to downlaod it on to my new computer, and I think I'm going to start by making my own promotion in the file editor.
|
Yeah, I'm starting with a company I made up, the Wrestling Assocation of America. A small wrestling promotion based of of America, with the start up capital of $1,000,000 owned by Rudigar McGee (I made him up). It has no workers or staff. It has one Heavywieght title, which is currently vacant. And a public image of 50%.
I have signed the following workers: Anthony Bartlette Jr. Austin Lee Daron Smythe Fantastic Frank Flether Five Star Flash Frankie Armadillo Generalin Intikami Genesis Jett Taylor Jo Jo Fantasico Lil' Nate Rich Myers Rico Casanova Ronnie Zukko Also, I think I'm going to put the strap on Frankie because I like heel champs BTW, I'm #18 out of 20 |

I just tied my best show with the Round Robin Challenge. In the main event, Johnny Jeter ended Bryan Danielson's 19-month reign as Ring Of Honor World Champion!
Each title was defended in a three-man round-robin format. Jeter beat Danielson and Shocker (Danielson also beat Shocker) to win the World Title. Austin Aries beat Alex Shelley and Donovan Morgan (Shelley beat Morgan) to retain the Pure Title. The Psychopaths retained the Tag Team Titles against the Briscoe Brothers and the team of Sean Waltman and Vampiro (the Briscoes also beat Waltman & Vampiro). After the show, I released Donovan Morgan and wished him the best in his future endeavors. His Japanese touring commitments made him difficult to schedule and his matches were consistently rated poorly. I'm at 87% image (still Cult status). I actually got a 2.00 rating for my last TV show, which is the maximum for a primetime show on DirecTV, so now I'm thinking of branching out to other networks. I still have five weeks left on my DirecTV deal, so we'll see if anyone bites before I renew. On the next episode of the TV show, the Second City Saints are going to get the Tag Team Titles back from Storm & Whipwreck, setting up what will hopefully be the big feud-ending match at The Final Showdown against the Briscoes. Currently, the card for The Final Showdown is: World Title: Johnny Jeter vs. Sean Waltman Pure Title: Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley (these two always put on a good show) Tag Titles: Second City Saints vs. The Briscoe Brothers El Hijo Del Santo vs. Mikey Whipwreck Bryan Danielson vs. Jody Fleisch Shocker vs. Cibernetico Vampiro vs. Devon Storm Shark Boy vs. Eric Young Roderick Strong vs. Black Tiger IV It's a lot of repeat matches, but I'm still working with a fairly limited roster and the show's called "The Final Showdown," so... |
<font color=goldenrod>*BUMP*
loop, did your RoH game die or did you end up taking them up to the top? Or, did EWR just get boring? That's what originally happened to me, I STILL haven't booked anything since Backlash but that is partially due to the fact I've been so damn busy.</font> :( |
See, there is nothing wrong with a bump IF THERE IS A REASON so FUCK ALL OF YOU WHO BITCH ABOUT ME.
|
This is the first time in about a month I've had consistent access to a computer/the internet. I've been so crazy with work and moving stuff that I just haven't had time to work on my ROH game. I'll get back to it soon, though.
|
God I haven't fucked around with EWR, Guess I totally forgot about it, when they made TEW...and then an release of Promotion Wars.
|
where can i get the EWR update for the new rosters?
I made ECW it's own promotion and made it global and put all the guys who'd ever been there in it. Then put it on a network with 100% risk. I then pretty much killed new jack in his first match (high incident) then I put Francine and Some other girl (forgot the name) in an Buck Naked match. Chris Jericho fought Steve Austin and Benoit in a 3 way for the number one contendership and Rhyno fought RVD for the ECW TITLE. Raven V. Stamboli and Chris Chetti v. tracy smothers. oh and Eliminators v. dudley. |
please?
