I finally finished the last season of the Office
|
Three episodes in to the new season/part of Money Heist/Casa de Papel.....
I kind of really miss when this show didn't have a huge budget.... |

Just finished The White Queen, which is a 10-episode BBC series about the War of the Roses, from the perspectives of Elizabeth Grey, Margaret Beaufort, Anne Neville, and Elizabeth of York (learn your English history, you savages). It is pretty standard fare from the BBC; it suffers from me just having watched The Jewel in the Crown, which is awesome. Rebecca Ferguson does get her baps out on numerous occasions, though, so there is that.
I'm on to the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As much as I loved the series back in the diz-zay, the quality of the show dropped off immensely after season 3. I just want to get it finished at this point and move on to something else. I'm also on to season 3 of my re-watch of 30 Rock. |
Finished the five new episodes of Money Heist/Casa de Papel
Show is just straight up an action movie now I guess |
Sex Education (Season 3)
|
Learning anything good?

Blasted through Clickbait on Netflix. It was a’ight. |
Why is that Rosanne spinoff show still going and why would they still have that old ass couch? You can only reupholster Big Lots so many times.
|
legendary particle wood that would have Ikea blush.
|
Reservation Dogs awesome.
|
What We Do in the Shadows. Fucking hilarious.
|
I finished Buffy; I enjoyed the whole series, but it really did lose its mojo after season 3.
I'm coming to the end of season 3 of 30 Rock. I'm half-way through Wolf Hall and I've just begun the fourth and final season of Goliath. |
i thought midnight mass on netflix was very good. don't really care for hamish linklater in general but was able to get over it.
|
On episode 3 right now. A little slow but I'm fine with that if they flesh things out properly.
|
I need to know who poisoned the dog. I would go John McAfee on a mother fucker if I knew who poisoned my dog.
|
Maybe someone gets that reference. Hoping Ron does.
|
not a clue my friend
|
Also watching Midnight Mass atm. Liking it so far.

RIP Pike.

John Mcafee thought someone poisoned his dogs.
That’s about it really. R.I.P. McAfee, killed by Scott Norton’s Auntie’s Virus. |

4 eps into Midnight Mass. Really good so far.

|
Wow. Pretty enjoyable.
|
3 episodes left in the final season of Lucifer.....
|
Latest season of “What We Do In The Shadows” is possibly the funniest yet.
I don’t even know anymore and I don’t think it matters. It’s so funny it actually makes me sit back in awe of the quality. There is almost no relief. |

Watching Into The Night now.
|
Watched the second to last episode of Lucifer.... feeling emotional...... gonna watch the last episode now
|
I watched The Comey Rule on Netflix. Really really good. Brendan Gleeson is an incredible Trump.
|
Watched the last episode of Lucifer.... damn
Don't want the show to be over..... Glad that Netflix saved it for the extra 3 seasons.... (Although I think S3 with Tom Welling was still the best one) |
Finished the final season of Goliath. Billy Bob is as watchable as ever, but it is definitely not the strongest of the seasons.
|
I've just finished Wolf Hall, which is a BBC drama from around 5-6 years ago that revolves around the rise and fall of Anne Boleyn. It is a well-known and often told story, but it was interesting to see it from the perspective of Thomas Cromwell, and Mark Rylance does a great job in that role. It is a fairly sombre show, but instead of pushing you away as a result, it kind of pulls you in.
|
Wow. Squid Game def lived up to the hype.
|
Finished off the season of Legends of Tomorrow... apparently the new season starts already in a week or two....
|
Finished Brooklyn Nine-Nine yesterday. Loved it.
|
Just finished episode 6 of Squid Game. Feeling Skeletor levels of "emotional" rn.
|
Started watching Shadow & Bone on Netflix.
It's alright. But I think they're doing a better job with Witcher. |
I've watched a couple of somewhat-old series as of late.
I recently watched the first two seasons of the old ITV sci-fi, Primeval (I believe there was an American version of it as well). As it is around 15 years old, the graphics don't particularly hold-up, but solid enough. Sadly, the other seasons are not on the Brit-box channel, so I'll have to wait until they are to watch them. I have also just finished the two seasons of The Forsyte Saga (2002). It is kind of like Downton Abbey, but instead of revolving around an aristocratic family, it centres around a upper-middle class family instead. Actually, it is far superior to Downton, mostly thanks to Damien Lewis. I'm coming to the end of season 5 of 30 Rock as well. I need to decide what series I'm going to watch next. I've watched a couple of episodes from the original Magnum P.I. series, and I'll probably continue with that. Season 6 of Fear the Walking Dead is now on Prime, so I may watch that, though I don't feel particularly inclined to return to TWD universe; that time has kind of past now. |
You should watch “Foundation”.
I can link you if you want. It is a feast for the eyes. |
Watching “Squid Game” due to mob mentality.
Yeah ok it’s pretty good. Jeez. |
The honeycomb game is one of the most tense things I have ever seen on TV...
Lead actor is damned charismatic. |
Fucked up... I definitely would have picked the umbrella...
|
How did this turn into a comedy by the end?!
|
Nope, back to fucked up horror
|
Started in on the fresh eps of Leverage:Redemption. Here's hoping Noah shitcans that "Louisiana" accent for good.
|
Going to watch episode 7 before bed...
Squid Game is high level. The only bad thing about it is this incredibly annoying woman who was written, directed and acted to be the most grating presence in a show full of high tension scenarios that don’t require an annoying bitch in the foreground. |
Episode 7 veering into “not good” territory with some awful hammy acting from some poorly represented VIPA’s.
Inexcusable choice there. That’s dreadful stuff. It’s like it came from a completely different show. Whoever is responsible for that part does not like America...or nuance... |
Too many 69 comments in too short a time.
Why is this happening... |
LOL
The look that guy gave him is pure comedy gold. |
Yeah the VIPs almost ruined it for me. It's like a bad anime dub. A bad anime dub from the 90's.
|
They were terrible.
Still, it ended pretty well. |
Probably the best TV of the year even with some *imo* minor flaws.
Dat marbles episode.... |
The bit where the guy begs to go first and the subsequent look he gives Gi-Hun when he realises how fucked he is is magnificent dark comedy.
One of the funniest moments ever in drama. |

Absolutely loved Squid Game. It's not often I ever find a show that I want to binge like that but I just got hooked and couldn't wait to see where it went next. Major spoilers ahoy:
SPOILER: show |
Did the VIP’s almost ruin it for you?
|
The VIPs were terrible but I also didn't think they were meant to have any redeeming qualities.
It's weird because I don't want the VIPs in a season 2 but also know that them meeting their demise would be satisfying. |

I've just finished watching the four seasons of Cadfael. It is a mid-1990s detective series, set in the C12th and revolves around the sleuthing of a Benedictine monk, Brother Cadfael, played by Derek Jacobi. I've seen some of it over the years, but until now I don't think I'd ever seen an episode all the way through. Derek Jacobi is fantastic in it, and it has surprisingly high production value for a mid-90s UK television series. If you like "whodunnits" with a difference, try it out.
I'm on to the final series of 30 Rock. I think I've enjoyed the show more the second time round. As like a lot of series, particularly comedy series, the quality dips after the third series, but it remains consistently high. Though, my attraction to Tina Fey might be clouding my judgement. I'm two episodes into the Amazon series, Leonardo, which is based on Leonardo Da Vinci. I like it so far; the only weak aspect is the chap who played Norman Bates in Bates Motel, but he is not in it much. |
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you were raised in an old folks home.
|
Cadfael does give that impression, but it is pretty good.
|
Why don’t you go and suck Derek Jobbycock off of you love Cadfael so much, hmmm?!
|
No way is his name really Jobbycock.
|
That’s how you are supposed to pronounce it anyway
|
Just like Alan ChewDick
|
Or Andy Dick
|
You’ve got the wrong idea
|
Is there ever the right idea with Andy Dick? No, I thought not.
Carry on. |
I honestly think Andy Dick would have made a great heel wrestling manager and I’ve said it before.
|
Finally watched the season 3 premiere of Doom Patrol/covid-delayed finale to season 2. Love this show.
|
30 Rock done, Leonard done, and I've just finished rewatching The Pillars of the Earth.
I now need to find another series or 2 to watch. |
Damn, the new Dexter starts on Sunday
|
Watching Sisyphus on Netflix.
|
What We Do In The Shadows the TV series is so good. The stupidly high joke count makes repeat viewings very easy. So much talent.
|
Westworld S3.
Forgot about it. |
Never watched S2 (except the first episode). S1 just seemed like a "complete" story to me so I wasn't so compelled to watch.... the fact that no one was talking about it also did not help. Everyone was hyped and talking about S1 and I have heard like zero people talk about S2 or 3.
|
Went back to American Horror Story having watched Season 1-3 we skipped to S7 then haven’t watched. Watched American Horror Stories and picked up from S8 which seemed interesting…until it became a crossover with S3, incorporated Hotel which I haven’t watched and then went back to Murder House which induced eye rolls from me. I liked the idea that you can pick and choose what you watch so the fact there’s so many call backs has annoyed me. I liked the recurring cast but having them play 3 characters in the same season is meh. Still got a few eps to go but not holding out much hope.

Two definitely expounded on S1 and you should watch it. I've only watched E1 so far, and it is interesting, but there are a lot of questions. |
Season 2 wasn’t bad at all, it just wasn’t 100% brilliant like season 1.
Plot holes and annoying shite aside, it does have a tremendous story with Peter Mullan that really picked the season up as a whole. |
On S3E3 now - and yeah, it's definitely worth a watch so far.
Ties in to a lot of "real world tech" right now too, which I'm into, and probably why it strikes a chord with me. |
Actually starting to remind me of the Fallout 4 plot..... in SOME ways.
|
|
I should really watch the Reno 911 series all the way through from start to finish. I’m not sure why I never have before, I used to love catching it on tv. The film wasn’t half bad either - I always wondered if a weed whacker would fuck your face up but I am too scared to test it out.
|
they will.
source: have used one on someone |
Aaron Paul is ridiculously good in Westworld S3.
Just finished up the episode titled "Genre" where there's a party drug that sends you through 5 "genres of movies" and the expressions and changes he goes through are done VERY well. Overall, great season thus far. |
I finished Midnight Mass.
|
I've been watching old seasons of Lark Rise to Candleford.
It is essentially an old people show or for those who want something gentle to watch on a Sunday evening, but I kind of like it. I also like Julia Sawalha. |
Can't stop watching Hit Monkey on Hulu
|
Rewatched World Without End, which is set in the same fictional town of Kingsbridge as its predecessor, The Pillars of the Earth, but 200 years later. Not as good as the former, but good enough.
|
Tb1 has had me watch a few shows start to finish this year and his selections seem to be based on the fact that he knows I will become infatuated with the female lead or supporting character.
|
Finished up Westworld S3. Seemed to move very fast compared to the first two seasons, with tons more action.
implications from the last episode are huge and could go a few different ways. Either way, if they do continue the series, I will watch. |
