Ogen 05-04-2005 07:21 PM

Massive club and very much a sleeping giant being rewoken but its not going to happen just yet is alll I'm saying.

soconnor 05-04-2005 07:22 PM

Like you said Dazz, top three is more like it. Then it's anyones game after that. Games can swing either way. I don't know what team Ogen supports but it's obviously not Liverpool, the best of the rest? Fucking hell. Even if you went Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, there's no one better after that.

We're as good as anywhere, I'm going to London myself over the weekend and I'm sick to see so many Man United fans in the pubs. I wish there was some chelsea fans for the arsenal game, at least I'd get a bit of support in there.

Yeah I am off to Old Trafford on Tuesday, but fuck off am I wearing my colours after the game, just like I wouldn't afterwards Vs Arsenal or Spurs. Rivalries are good when it's banter, but people take it too far and there are seriosu twats. Unfortunatly, we have alot of them. After the bolton game on Saturday we were in the streets celebrating and people starting anti-IRA and holocaust songs, and about Harry someone being our friend because he kills coppers. Our fans are probably the biggest set of cunts you will meet. Fortunatly Babbsy's firm is no longer around, they were the main ones likely to cut people and arrange violence.

If you have time, get the tube to Covent Garden, turn left as you get out of the station, walk a few yards to the end of the road and turn right, then you will see a crowd of people watching an entertainer bloke do weird funny shit. This guy is seriously funny, and picks of members of the audience sometimes too, its great stuff.

Ogen 05-04-2005 07:27 PM

I'm a Villa fan all I'm saying is that the gulf is still too big to be taken next season after that who knows but for now you just keep on biulding on what you have.

soconnor 05-04-2005 07:31 PM

Yeah my Liverpool kit is staying well alone. That's why I enjoy watching the match in front of the TV with a beer. I go the pub occasionally to for away games. I've got my season ticket and I'm sticking with it. I feel safe with 40,000 Liverpool fans around me, anywhere else and I'm a fucking pussy. Fucking Ogen, don't make another point about Liverpool being forth. Maybe this season it'd be the best but next year, we can can only get better. That's my point anyway, agree/disagree. Eat shit. We all have our opinions and bias on our teams.

Hyypia will stay and Pellegrino will go on his six month contract. We'll be after another solid defender for replacement as Hyypia is getting older. Now Baros can go, Kewell, Traore, Biscan, Dudek and those were the players who just had a game. That's how Rafa is going to turn a fifth place team into a top three.

He is a Villa fan.

Whilst watching the bolton game int he pub on Saturday a Villa fan was also watching it with us, and she said to me at 1-0 Chelsea that it'd be a draw, and I said why do you think that, and she said being a Villa fan she is always pessimistic.

the cunts, they need to believe, Jose has injected new found belief into me.

What's up with these new found Chelsea fans, lost QPR so quickly. It's hard liking a team with a Russian billionaire crook and limitless bank balance. Not to mention Jose is a cheating bastard. In a postive light though he's the funniest and confident manager I've seen in years, Chelsea has overlapped Arsenal and Man United. It's never a three horse race though. We're not the fucking Scottish league.

Nunez, Smicer, Diao. There's too much dead weight to name, it'd be depressing to go through the list. Still I do believe we have the top players in the premiership, and can match anyones best team player to ours.

Yeah this thread has been full of cock posts so unless I had a bit of confidence I wasn't going to jump into this mess. Now we're in the champions league final I actually have a few comebacks. Now if I was a villa fan, I'd just kill myself already. I do have a season ticket, my name is Yasser Arafat or some shit. Crazy.

Fuck off you idiot, how many other players who'se name ends in ez can they get? The song is terrific and getting rid of Nunez will ruin it.

The Mask 05-04-2005 07:43 PM

I think Liverpool in 4th next season is realistic enough, but with the money from the CL campaign, the gap will be closed a good deal I'd reckon. Then there's always the chance of us being utterly fucking terrible and losing to the bottom teams after tonking the top ones. That or arsenal could go into the background a bit because i think the fact they've not retained the championship AGAIN must be playing on their minds.

Rob Ban Fan 05-04-2005 07:43 PM

Ogen 05-04-2005 07:44 PM

Jesus you'd swear I was predicting relegation. 4th would be a improvement remember since as it stands your not even the top team on the merseyside.

I ask myself the same questions, during the Bolton game I was down the pub at Stamford Bridge Chelsea TV intervied two of my friends, and people were shouting stuff about them being fake fans, :wtf: what assumption is that based on. After the Bolton game I was down the Fulham Road to join in the celebrations, and some geezer came up to me and asked when I have supported Chelsea sicne and how old I am, like it even mattered to him. I don't need to prove to anyone I am a real fan, if they believe me I couldn't care less, and if they don't I couldn't care less.

Really? You believe that shit. It's only three points in it, it could go anywhere. Not saying we'll get forth but lets see Everton get in the Champions league final. They've had their run of luck, now it's only downhill for them. Might even see them in the UEFA cup, let's see if Aston Villa joins us.

Danny Electric 05-04-2005 07:48 PM

I'd sell nunez on ebay and give away kewell for free with him.

After you have been to an away game you'll wanna go to more, I was telling RBF this the other week, there is no better buzz then watching your team win away, knowing you travelled somewhere and your team wins. The atmosphere with away fans is great, you lot play good football (sometimes, but not when away) and it's just a great day out. I'd sooner have an away season ticket then a home one, I love watching us away. Lot's of people don't wear their colours, and you normally only get violence if you are looking for it.

Dazz 05-04-2005 07:56 PM

Alright fine.

soconnor 05-04-2005 07:58 PM

Seen as though we won four away games all season then I'm glad I didn't. It's easy being a chelsea fan and saying that but going the pub and having Everton fans is hard enough. I'm not the best loser in the world, I can't take that shit. Not to mention having a five hour coach ride home. I just can't do it. I'm twenty. Maybe when I'm older I'd be happier but right now I've got the stella in one hand and remote in the other for TV games.

I reckon we should just change all our players to have ez on the end. Like Gerrardez, Carragherez, Morientez, Cissez and of course the one and only nunez. Also make dudek, dude k. I would enjoy that much much more. That was just for you RBF. For everyone else. Fuck off it's sarcasm. Nunez is the only and only ez for me.

Dazz 05-04-2005 08:10 PM

Yeah I suppose the fact we win away helps, but here's the list of games I have been to away:

Fulham - won 2-0
Portsmouth - won 2-0
Newcastle - lose 1-0
Liverpool - lost 1-0
Norwich - won 3-1
Nou Camp - lost 2-1
Bayern Munich - Lost 3-2

obviously the best two were the abroad ones, the best two English ones (result aside) were Newcastle and Liverpool, both of which I thought we'd lose even before getting my ticket.

Right now I'd say I'd go even if we were shit, but truth is I probably wouldn't but as we are good now I am bound to say that. We will see all in good time.

Happy Birthday Cesc

Wengerland 05-05-2005 05:53 AM

I reckon Liverpool can challenge next season, i mean they'd have 4th place wrapped up if it wasn't for injuries. I know everyone has to deal with them but they've had Gerrard out for 2 months or so, Alonso for 4 i think, Kirkland pretty much all the time, Cisse for ages. Kirkland might not be guaranteed first team football but the other three are probably Liverpool's most talented players.

If Benitez can bring in some more good players and some better quality back up, aswell as the team's key players steering clear of bad injury, then they'll at least close the gap.

packt up 05-05-2005 06:12 AM

If they do I'd be surprised thats all I'll say.

I got your back Ogen.

toxic rooster 05-05-2005 08:06 AM

They're not incapable of challenging, they only finished, what, 5 points off arsenal who won it 3 years ago?

Cactus Sid 05-05-2005 08:11 AM

Rafa's got a 5 year plan, and I believe that within 5 years we will be definite challengers for the title.

I think next season might be a bit too much for us, Chelsea are gonna get some top quality this summer, and you can expect Arsenal and United to be closer to them next season.

It all depends who we get in, and who we get rid of over the summer. But if anyone is gonna get us going, its Rafa.

The Mask 05-05-2005 06:14 PM

Liverpool are currently 33 points from being top of the table and 24 from being relegated.

Dazz 05-05-2005 08:05 PM

Chelsea players to dye hair blue?

Hahaha, that would be quality.

Have you seen Chelsea's kit for next season :o

Looks pretty hot, Samsung are the new sponsors, and Fly Emirates are going to Arsenal :wtf:

Oh yeah, the place where my mum works is making the carpets for the new Arsenal stadium, since they are like the #1 carpet manufacturer in the UK or some shit, thought that was pretty cool. I should ask them to get me some season tickets as part of the deal :shifty:

The normal Samsung logo would have been shit hot, I don't like the way it's done. 06/07 when Adidas take over it will look ever better.

And you should piss on the carpets behind everyones back, that way you can be like ' I pissed on those carpets once'

yianni 05-05-2005 10:12 PM

Guys, I have a question for you. But first could you read this (it's not long)

http://www.soccervictoria.org.au/portals/0/060505%20tribunal%20final.pdf

My question to you guys is, can clubs/teams be docked points for crowd violence? I have heard from a few people that under FIFA law this is not allowed. Last year Olympiakos got a 6 point deduction yet appealed and won.

Does anyone know if South Melbourne (my club) can do the same?

Dazz 05-05-2005 10:37 PM

I dunno, it's up to the national federation I think. FIFa add their two cents into it, but I am not sure that they can stop it.
