I think they couldn't turn Cena heel because the combined orgasm from the IWC would send such shockwaves throughout the world it would ultimately destroy it.

but it's not a bad remix

I'd say that there's a SLIGHT difference in the promo ability between Backlund and Harley.

The first of two matches Mean Gene Okerlund had as a wrestler in his career. Hogan and Mean Gene vs Mr. Fuji & George "The Animal" Steele. The other match might have been during his time in WCW.

 TNA also managed to mess up as well since they kind of forgot to make deals to bring those guys back for an angle. They write the stuff first but waited till last moment to contact those wrestlers and can't since both involved in the Rumble and post-Rumble RAW.

The lawsuit is probably not going to go anywhere, but I can actually see the WWE turning it into an angle, where Show goes on a search for a new name each week. Seems like something Show would enjoy doing as a goofy babyface.

That Whole Show idea is not a bad one, either, to be honest.

The vignettes would be awesome if they were of Show and Michael Hayes going on a road trip to figure it out, and every time they find a new one, Michael Hayes incorporates it into the Big Show song and sings it to see if it fits.

Finally! Euroshop are selling CM Punk's T-shirt.

Though I don't know if it's because the Euroshop team are just doing a half assed job at making the images or if the design has changed but the designs on the T-shirt seem to be bigger on the Euroshop site. :-\

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-31-2011 07:57 AM

Those shirts are already out of date. It's now yellow and is the design for the New Nexus shirts. Why is Europe so far behind?

Cool King 01-31-2011 08:05 AM

Unless it's Cena merchandise, we have to wait about three months for "new stock".

But I don't think the design is old though. Yeah, it's currently yellow, but I get the feeling after Nexus disbands, CM Punk will go back to the previous design.

Also, it's a awesome design anyway, so it wouldn't bother me if it's old. I prefer it over the yellow design.

SlickyTrickyDamon 01-31-2011 09:03 AM

Testicle 01-31-2011 12:22 PM

Kinda thinking the WWE should do away with most of their title belts. The point of a wrestling belt is to elevate the wrestler that wears it. Is that really the case with the US, Diva, Tag-team, or WHC?

No one cares about the divas so why have a belt? No one cares/they don't have a tag division to speak of so why bother with a belt? Plus it looks horrid. The US title has been on DB for awhile now and what good has it done him. Use the IC title on both shows and get rid of the US belt, it was cute in 2003 when Eddie had it, its doesn't mean anything now. Even the WHC doesn't mean half what the WWE title does. That WHC reign for Jack Swagger really elevated his career. Having two 'world titles' de-values both of them.

Having less titles makes winning them that more impressive and would once again help elevate the wrestlers that win them. WWE title and IC title, thats all they need. And if tag wrestling is brought back from the dead, then bring the belts back. That is all.

edit: Also just do away with womens wrestling, no one cares about them wrestling, keep them around for eye candy, but keep them out of the ring.

I originally posted the following whilst recounting my thoughts on RAW, but thought it should also stand on its own in here:

"I just now witnessed a Vasaline body wash commercial that prominently featured the Uso's theme. I know it's a production work, but geez, that usually doesn't happen till the person at least gets new music."

Does this mean a future endeavor is in the works?

Finally, the WWE is focusing on new talent

Over the past year or so, the WWE took a swerve from their past years of overusing over talent and wrestling legends children as top stars and began bringing in new faces with new names.

Now, we look at Miz, Morrison, Alberto Del Rio, Nexus, Corre, and many many more.

Another great thing is that most of the new wrestlers of today aren't TRIPLE H/Cena looking dudes, but more of the Christian look.

Any chance of cruiserweight division returning under Triple H when he takes over the in the next 2 years?

Will we see more comedy movies and decent films come out of WWE Films with some of these young faces?

Will we see more developed wrestlers who can actually wrestle instead of roided out dudes who can't wrestle to save their lives (cena, khali, kane).

What's your take on WWE's push for new talent?

Discuss.

TheAdamEvansFan 02-01-2011 02:17 PM

I like how the WWE uses older wrestlers as mentors on shows like NXT and Tough Enough, and with segments that air once in awhile... instead of everynight as their main storylines (cough TNA cough).

SOCCER LEGS 02-01-2011 02:23 PM

Well WWE pretty much had to bring in some new blood. The older generation of wrestlers have died, left, retired or heading to retirement soon. There's no Eddie or Benoit, Taker is getting old, HBK has retired, Triple H is on his way out to say the least. Kane, Big Show, and Edge are the only ones still wrestling off the top of my head. I can see Jericho retiring from active wrestling in a few years.

And actually there are still a lot of new big dudes. Skip Sheffield, Mason Ryan, McGillicuty, Husky Harris, Tyler Reks, Ezekial, Wade, etc.

Some of the talent deserves pushes like Morrison and Ziggler. Miz and Del Rio maineventing Wrestlemania is awful to me. I think Miz has been awful as champion and Del Rio, while decent in the ring, does not scream main event at Wrestlemania. The ones that deserve to be pushed like Morrison are constantly halted in their pushes. Miz's only good singles matches have been with Morrison and one he had with Cena on RAW a while back. Now Cena-Miz going into Mania doesn't bother me. I just don't like how they randomly halted that feud, though Orton-Punk intrigues me. Morrison, Christian, Danielson, Mcintyre, Sheamus, Ziggler, and Barrett are all good and deserve pushes. Miz has the worst ring skills out of everybody listed here and he gets pushed to the moon. His matches are lackluster and his mic skills while good are not the best thing ever. Del Rio definitely isn't awful in the ring as he is capable of good matches. I think his mic work is weak, but Morrison who is better in the ring, but limited on the mic gets screwed over. Push the right younger talent instead of The Miz.

St. Jimmy 02-01-2011 03:25 PM

Miz sucks, Morrison sucks, Del Rio is "okay".

Corre and Nexus are gold. FUCKING GOLD.

Wishbone 02-01-2011 03:26 PM

I love the youth movement it's helped breath some life into a product that's been fairly stale for a while. Don't get me wrong I love me some 'Taker and HHH but as stated before they just can't go forever. The Miz is in my opinion the perfect example of 'tomorrows' superstar and guys like him, Swagger, Morrison, and Sheamus have already proven they can indeed run with the big dogs. Del Rio's push has IMO been a bit rushed and I don't really think he's ready for 'mania just yet, but then again I could be wrong I mean if you had asked me if Miz would ever be WWE champion even a year ago I would have laughed in your face so Del Rio may very well step up and prove to the world that he is indeed a future Superstar.

Rammsteinmad 02-01-2011 04:13 PM

I agree with you about Miz and I like CM Punk, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Mason Ryan, Michael Mcuillicutty and Ezekiel Jackson. I don't think Heath Slater, David Otunga and Husky Harris especially are good at all. But the bulk of the Nexus and the Core is good. I think Morrison is one of the best guys on the roster and I really get pissed at how they only push him so much. Del Rio is okay. I agree as his ring skills are decent.
