I appreciate you took the time to type that much out, but I don’t agree. A lot of those headlines and instances are made up (like The Rock one) or a very anamolous outlier. Education institutes in Australia are pretty liberal. That’s despite a conservative government that whinges about this sort of stuff all the time and just uses it as a smokescreen to continue pushing racist and phobic policies. Like, a lot of that stuff is just myth and when you research it. We get stories all the time like that over here, and you research it and it turns out no, people don’t really want anyone with earrings to be expelled or whatever. Eh, I’m your own time, if these things upset you, I recommend really researching them and finding out whether or not that’s an actual thing that’s happening and what the actual scenario is and what is actually driving it. Like, is a professor being fired because of unreasonable students, or because they have been continuously asked to address students by their preferred names, etc., and received multiple warnings from a private institute. Is someone being criticised because they are wearing earrings, or because when they were explained why those earrings might not be appropriate for an event, they scoffed and wore them anyway? You’d be surprised how much is there to make valid points seem ridiculous. Quote:

That's a 1 for me dawg.
Probably worst would be Lucious Johhny V because he was way over the hill. |
Jimmy Jack Funk vs Brad Rheingens would have been worse.
Best match probably would have been Muraco and Orton vs the Islanders even though it is 1987 Muraco and Orton. It's a typical C Show. There's worse cards around from this era. They were still doing High School gyms and VFW's at this time. |
The Islanders were faces?

Few years old now, last few minutes is about the screwjob (no surprises there). Bret really loves Triple H, i thought they had set their differences aside years back, apparently not. |

WWF Women's Tag Team Champions Judy Martin & Leilani Kai vs. Velvet McIntyre & Candice Pardue Tom Magee defeated Terry Gibbs Brad Rheinghans defeated Jimmy Jack Funk The Islanders defeated Don Muraco & Bob Orton Jr. Brutus Beefcake defeated Johnny V (sub. for Adrian Adonis) via submission with the sleeper Koko B. Ware pinned Danny Davis Hercules pinned Billy Jack Haynes in a chain match by wrapping Haynes legs in the chain and using the ropes for leverage I take it back. The women's tag match would have been the best match on the show. |

At the time, Mania XXX did feel like a "passing of the torch" and should have been from the Cena era and Taker Mania era but WWE just doubled down on their stubbornness that started with the Cena era. |

Good for him.

Good for Kevin. I was a bit worried that time away would see him pack it on as opposed to losing it. It's kind of funny that he's dropped some weight, gelled his hair and got a tan. Sounds like Jim Cornette's advice has been heeded.

Just watched Omega vs Okada from DOminion.
Holy shit, this looks ekstreme and some of the moves look lethal. And the crowd is going ballistic. Fun shit. |
Dunno.... I don't like Kevin Owens losing weight..... his fatness made him more unique

Apparently the biggest and most influential supporter for WWE within NBC and USA Network was recently demoted by NBC.
Went from being the head of NBC to now just being in charge of their new digital streaming branch as part of a recent shakeup of leadership in the company. Quote:

I saw that story and honestly my first thought was that this is probably good for WWE, because they will probably eventually need to find a streaming service when cable dies.
|
I was reading somewhere about how tough Monday nights really are for television, and they suggested that if WWE weren’t so attached to Mondays, getting Raw onto Tuesdays would actually probably be a good move for them. I’ve never thought about that because I’ve never considered WWE being willing to do that.
