I'm fine with Alpha's finish. It's a back suplex with assist. At least there's some height added to the move. That shooting star press is just...why? Seems like a million things can go wrong for no good strategic reason at all.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-30-2018 11:23 PM

I dislike Zack Wentz.

LOCKJAW! SOMETHING TO WRESTLE WITH BRUCE PRICHARD CHRISTIAN EPISODE DROPPED TODAY!

CHRIIIIIISTTTTTTTTTIAN....CHRISTIANNNN, AT LAST, YOU'RE A PODCAST!

Lock Jaw 11-30-2018 11:48 PM

Not even that can get me to listen to a wrassling podcast, sorry.

Mr. Nerfect 12-01-2018 01:35 AM

What's wrong with wrestling podcasts? I mean, I know what's wrong with Bruce's.

It's a lot of fun. Are you allergic to fun, son?

He does have some quirks. I am fairly new to his podcast. What's your take on it, Noid?

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-01-2018 02:58 AM

Bruce is a liar but a funny liar.

Fignuts 12-01-2018 02:59 AM

Watching Andre vs Inoki from 74. Prime Andre is so good.

slik 12-01-2018 03:28 AM

All wrestling podcasts are too long

I would listen to a wrestling podcast if it was like 5-10 minutes. It shouldn't take someone the length of RAW to explain why they disliked RAW. Just give me the scoops and thoughts as bullet points plz.

Jordan 12-01-2018 03:54 AM

Bruce is entertaining in doses. Listing to multiple episodes burns me out on him. I actually enjoy Bischoff but he is so incorrect about a lot of things that burns me out as well. Tony is great but again, feeling burnt out since Starcast. I enjoy E&C, Austin and Jericho with a good guest and I listen to almost all the F4W Empire shows. Big fan of the new Pacific Rim podcast they have on there. The only recap shows I can listen to are from F4W or if Austin does a recap episode with Kellar, Metlzer or JR.

Fignuts 12-01-2018 04:18 AM

Ahahaahahahaha

Watching Osamu Nishimura vs Minoru Suzuki now. They do the common early match spot where they go into the ropes in the lock up and one guy pats the guys chest after the clean break. But in this case after Osamu pats his chest Suzuki immediately bitch slaps him, and then spits on him.

Suzuki fucking rules.

Fignuts 12-01-2018 04:20 AM

lol Osamu even had this look on his face like "god, fucking asshole"

Danny Electric 12-01-2018 05:14 AM

Absolute shame for Fight Club Pro Wrestling , having to pull all of their big names before a massive event for them in Japan.
Also being a local promotion run by Trent Seven himself I really hope that the WWE sees sense and adds them to the ‘allowed’ list of promotions.

The weekly podcast that I always listen to (Between the Sheets) is between 5-8 hours long.

I also listen to Cornette's podcasts plus Stick to Wrestling and a bi weekly podcast. On a given week I listen to around 10-12 hours of podcasts a week.

Cool King 12-01-2018 11:20 AM

I saw a post on Instagram today complaining about Raw and how Raw has got "too many heels" or whatever and it made me go and count the faces and heels on each show and I was actually a bit surprised at the result I got.

I included Male, Female and "On-Air" Talent for both Raw and SmackDown but I didn't count the Crusierweights for Raw, as they have 205 Live.

Anyway, my findings were this:

Raw

Total Talent - 60

Male Heels - 16
Male Faces - 24

Female Heels - 8
Female Faces - 6

"On-Air" Heels - 6
"On-Air" Faces - 0

Total Heels - 30
Total Faces - 30

SmackDown

Total Talent - 46

Male Heels - 17
Male Faces - 15

Female Heels - 6
Female Faces - 5

"On-Air" Heels - 0
"On-Air" Faces - 3

Total Heels - 23
Total Faces - 23

So it appears that both Raw and SmackDown are split evenly when it comes to Heels and Faces and I don't know if that was intentional or just a happy little coincidence.

Cool King 12-01-2018 11:20 AM

From the post I saw on Instagram, I think what the guy was getting at was that over on Raw, the heels seems to be more predominant as you've got Ambrose, Corbin, Lashley, Ziggler, McIntyre and also Lesnar all flying around Raw's main event/upper mid-card scene and on the other side, you've got Strowman, Elias, Bálor, Reigns and Rollins but at the moment, with Strowman and Reigns out of action, you've just got Elias, Bálor and Rollins.

For the Women's Division and its main focus, you've got Bliss (and by association, James) and Jax (and by association, Tamina), whereas on the other side, you've got Rousey.

Watched Slamboree 95 which I don't think I had ever seen (strange because I'm a huge WCW fan) last night. The Renegade boggles the mind. I then watched Great American Bash 95 afterwards with an AMAZING Ric Flair/Randy Savage WHC match. Really good.

Splaya 12-01-2018 12:08 PM

I've always wanted to get into watching WCW from like 96-99. I was always pro WWF so I didn't get into the Monday Night Wars as much.

I'd love to write for a site where I could review old episodes of wrestling and give them grades in the same way that writers grade the shows we see now

I was just talking to Newstead about this last night. I want to go back and do a WCW Nitro/PPV watch from mid 95 until the end of the year. It's just so awful.

Hogan had plans to bring in the guy who bought the name rights to Gorgeous George in 95 so he could say he pinned Gorgeous George. Hogan was out of control that year.

Splaya 12-01-2018 12:55 PM

I feel like Hogan was out of control from like 95-97. Maybe I'm wrong

Bad News Gertner 12-01-2018 12:57 PM

At least once he started with the NWO it wasn't consistently cringe worthy like 1995. There's sooooo much there.

A.J.K 12-01-2018 01:10 PM

Watching the 2004 draft lottery.

Flair vs Savage in late 95 early 96 was pretty awesome

Don't know if you can call Nancy Sullivan a wrestler. Brie was actually part of the division.

Her in ring career was short, but she did wrestle.

Also, Nancy Sullivan is one of the most under appreciated hot broads in wrestling

Destor 12-01-2018 02:29 PM

Leading cause of her underappreciation as a hot braud is her not being hot

Bad News Gertner 12-01-2018 02:43 PM

She was fucking hott as Robin Green during that angle with Rick Steiner

Fignuts 12-01-2018 02:53 PM

Like, if you’re judging her based on the Monday Night War period, then yeah. I don’t know if she was doing lots of drugs and it just caught up to her but she wasn’t nearly as hot by that time. Before though? She was a smoke show.

Franco Vazquez 12-01-2018 04:11 PM

I wonder why Trish never did Playboy because she was probably the hottest woman back in the day.

I'm sure she said she was asked to once but declined because she wanted to be remembered for her wrestling and it turns out she was right to do so.

Cool King 12-01-2018 04:51 PM

Also....
