Marvel's probably afraid of how much money they'd have to pour into marketing a Black Panther movie so that Joe Average wouldn't think it was a Spike Lee movie about Malcolm X.

Just watched X-Men: The Last Stand FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I've long had it spoiled that Cyclops died in the movie, but even so I was waiting the whole movie for him to show up again at a pivotal time, only to really die.... because I didn't think the first "death" was real.

Okay, so I finally got around to reading some of Marvel's new titles since the Marvel NOW thing started. I've been a DC fanboy for a very long time, and didn't really have any interest in Marvel outside of their movies. But considering that the editorial crew at DC seem pretty dead-set on making sure I don't read their books ever again, I figured I might as well give Marvel another chance.

Right now, I've only tried out Thor: God of Thunder, and Indestructible Hulk. Both of which are fucking awesome. Seriously, the stuff they're doing in these books is why I'm a fan of comics in the first place. So yeah, good on them for finally making me jump ship.

All-New X-Men, the new Avengers run, and Uncanny Avengers are all superb.

Since DC went mostly off the rails, I too have been catching up on my Marvel. I am still way behind, though. I have just entered the Heroic Age. I could skip ahead to the present, but what is the fun in that.

Or, they might be doing some time-jumping (I mean edit wise, not as a plot device) to involve some expositon into some matters while Cap was frozen and RR might be the guy Fury eventually replaces.
