I remember the Sunny thing being her charging for a "Skype session". Like... she at least passed it off as just "Talk to Sunny on Skype for 50 bucks". Apparently now she's flat out saying there will be boobs and, for the right price, diddling of vagina.

PWInsider reports that Sting has signed a performers contract with WWE, but there's no word yet on how long it's for or what the details are. As noted, Sting reportedly didn't get the call to come in until Thursday. Sting is not expected to work any WWE live events and will likely work very few TV tapings. We noted yesterday that there's talk now of wrestling more than one match, but not many more than that. Part of WWE's plan with Sting will be to tease him a lot until he's needed for a big event

Those are all right. Then he turned heel again to join nWo Black and White around Spring 1998 and he stayed with them until December or so when he disappeared.

I think he also turned semi-face in his final night with the company although I'd need to watch the episode to remember how it all went down. He showed up after the nWo factions had merged and they beat the shit out of him and spraypainted him.

Evil Vito 11-26-2014 10:20 AM

I've said this in the Raw thread, but Big Show has to be one of, if not the worst booked character in history. They turn him at an alarming rate, and each time he turns they fizzle out on him within a month or two. Then he's just sorta there until someone thinks they should try and make him relevant again, at which point they decide the quickest way to do it is to turn him again.

Not to mention the big strong powerful giant being reduced to a big crybaby almost every time he goes face. I could understand maybe having someone break him down emotionally once...but every single time he goes face?

It's a shame too, because I actually like the Big Show. Maybe it's because I grew up with WCW and he's one of the few WCW alumni still wrestling. I feel like he could have actually been someone would pay to see lose to the underdog hero after he had a run terrifying the rest of the roster with his size. But he's shifted around so much that there's very little reason to get emotionally invested in anything his character does. Imagine if they had booked Andre the Giant this way?

Similar to the ROH and recent incidents where Yoshi tucked his head during the move.

Think the ROH guy was his 2nd time getting injured by that move and both from tucking his head.

it is but the kicker is that it defies pretty much the very first thing you have drilled into you when you train to be a wrestler, or at least when you first take bumps which is "tuck your head". You could do that move 100 times without incident in a training session, before a show etc and 100 times it would be fine. Change that to 30 minutes into a match when you're exhausted, running on instincts/muscle memory, in front of giant loud audience, get hoisted upside down and it's an easy mistake to make. I could understand if the move was over as fuck or looked great and whatnot but it's not and it pretty much always looks a bit shit. Baffles me that he still uses it.

that's the specific problems with this, it's all about the head. I can't think of another move (off the top of my head, obviously not counting things like Flapjacks where the momentum does everything for you) where tucking your head is the opposite of what you're supposed to do, you always tuck your head. That's what causes the injuries, either guys tucking their head or AJ being like 5'9 and the head being way too close to the floor. There's no doubt a certain amount of responsibility lies with the ones that tucked their heads but a much larger amount of responsibility lies with AJ knowing how easily that mistake can be made "in the heat of the moment". There's no excuse for him to carry on using it. A one off is unlucky, for it to have happened at least 5 or 6 times that I'm personally aware of and to have two guys break their necks in the last 6-7 months is a problem that needs addressing.

Totally with CSL on this, it now seems like the mistake is one that could be made by anyone at any time, because it is now a regular thing. There is no excuse to keep using the move.

Actually think it is really irresponsible and selfish on his part that he hasn't stopped. It has already caused people a lot of suffering and it could kill someone someday.

It is a wresting move at the end of the day, and we are talking about peoples' lives and health and jobs...

AJ Lee is not leaving WWE, despite rumors to the contrary. We killed off the rumor last week in Ask WNW but new questions surfaced following her booking at Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. It was there, AJ was put under Nikki Bella in less than a minute after Brie distracted her with a kiss.

We can confirm AJ Lee is on the booking sheets for several upcoming shows and remains under a WWE Performer’s Contract. The booking of Brie and her re-alliance with Nikki is part of a heel turn.
So Brie really did turn heel and the whole feud leading to the butler stip was for nothing in the end.

The Total Divas reality series has significant influence on the booking of WWE storylines. We reported earlier this month how the push of Tyson Kidd was in direct connection to the producers of Total Divas being high up on the Nattie/TJ segments. That followed our October report, where we previewed the push before it happened.

Some other sheet news include TNA signing Josh Matthews as their lead announce and trying to get Mike Teenay to resign with them so he doesn't go to Jeff Jarrett's GFW.

If anyone is interested, Figure 4 Weekly released a mini-podcast talking about WWE's backstage reaction to Punk's podcast.

Some highlights include Colt Cabana is now blacklisted by the WWE, Vince is upset but nowhere near Triple H who's hatred of Punk is at an all-time high, WWE management wants the whole situation "swept under the rug", and even those who really hated Punk in the WWE agree about the stuff he exposed.

Observer and F4W also had a joint podcast about their reactions with Dave Meltzer from the Observer not surprised at Punk's accusations but does realize how much trouble the WWE could get if the authorities get involved.

Watching some SmackDown PPVs circa 2006-07. I'm so conditioned to JBL being the horrendous commentator that he is today that I actually forgot that he was good during those years at the SmackDown announce table. He actually spent time going over match psychology, appreciated really good face workers and only blindly supported a few heels, and argued with Cole only a small amount of time, enough so that it was funny/entertaining rather than completely forced.

They forgot this one:

It's weird to me how much Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens actually look alike.

Mr. Nerfect 11-29-2014 11:00 PM

I had a dream that CJ Parker was appointed the new General Manager role in WWE, and that he actually didn't suck at it. He dropped the environment stuff, and just became this sort of "fun" boss that was also firm when he needed to be, and wasn't plastered all over the show. He was also a Sting mark and would search for Sting in the rafters constantly.

It's weird to me that you actually think so.

To be fair, I thought it was going to be a swerve, too... what with the whole "30 days of humiliating servitude" ending, Nikki seemed ripe for the fall. But right at the end, Brie becomes a willingly subservient heel because... reasons?

How surreal is it to think that Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble have played a part in the main event of the last two PPVs?

Very cool, Joey Mercury plays a lost puppy really well. You can see Jamie Noble is living it up in his face, but he also comes off well in his role. Happy for them getting some sort of exposure.

They were always tasked with mid-card status, but they are people too

Mr. Nerfect 12-01-2014 10:37 AM

Jamie Noble always entertained me. I actually pitched a random idea on here where he would become Vince McMahon's "Pit Bull" (this was around the time he was teaming with Kid Kash and Kash was on the oust). Vince would bring him to the ring and then tell him to "go" and Noble would pick apart the babyface he was sicked on.

In an odd roundabout sort of way, he kind of did that for The Authority -- only as more of a goof -- which he plays well.
