Started reading All New X-Men, the latest Avengers run, and Avengers Arena last night.

I'm only a couple books into each, and they're all entertaining to a point. Avengers Arena was one I had high hopes for, and of the three it's the most disappointing thus far.

The Marvel #1 thing that's been teased lately look to be them giving away a shitload of free issue #1's of various series.

Looks like they're available via Comixology (and therefore presumably the Marvel app), apparently over 700 different series.

Well he's historically been an Avenger. This isn't as 'wtf' as the JL cartoon adding GL John over Hal(!) or Kyle who was introduced in the DCAU beforehand (Superman TAS).

He'll probably make the sequel movie depending on what Joss feels like with his appearance in Cap 2.

Aaaaand predictably the demand is killing the servers. Awesome.

Marvel CCO Joe Quesada will illustrate the ending of the final issue of Age of Ultron, Marvel announced. Like the first nine issues, the tenth and final issue in the series will be written by Brian Michael Bendis. Other art in the final issue will be by Carlos Pacheco and Bryan Hitch.

Age of Ultron #10 ships in June.

Bautista Is Drax the Destroyer for the Guardians movie.

That has to be a joke... not really familiar with the character... but he better pull it off or this movie will be a joke with his name as a main character.

Hope he's a better actor than Dwayne or Cena...

I don't mind Batista as Drax. He was good in Man with the Iron Fists.

Well as long as he does a good job, keeps busy and stays out of the WWE.

I wonder if Batista will have his girl nose ring in as Drax.

Are Guardians of the Galaxy definitely going to appear in The Avengers or one of the solo movies as well? Seems like a pretty amateur casting for such a huge franchise.

By all means he could surprise me and be great in the role, but at the moment it's not the most encouraging of castings on paper.

It is officially a part of Phase Two if that's what you mean. Doubt Dave will have a lot of speaking roles.

The Ant-Man test footage that was shown at some Comic-Con awhile ago is finally being bootlegged onto the interwebs. Not sure what took so long.

While I like more characters heading toward the big screen I don't know if Ant-Man is cool enough to sustain a movie. It's an inherently goofy super-power and I see much more value in Hank Pym than 'Honey I Shrunk The Superman'.

Couple things. First, the helmet he's wearing looks an awful lot like Ultron.

Second, I think Ant Man could really be fantastic, but Pym has to be completely ego-maniacal. They won't do it, but I'd love to see the Pym arc mirror The Ultimates. Complete asshole, wife beater, etc.

The Ultimates line gets mined for more beats than people think, though. Even EMH portrayed him fairly flawed, with surprisingly little redemption

It's a Marvel movie so I'm kinda honor bound to see it at least once. And it's an MCU movie, so maybe twice.

Hank Pym is a great character if only for how flawed he is. But yeah, his superhero personas have always been lame.

is he as strong as an regular ant or as a person who has the strength of an ant but has to be small to have that strength thus making it pointless? Ant-Man is bullshit.

if it made him as relatively strong as an ant while he was a regular sized person it'd be fine because he'd be really strong, but if he has to be small to be strong it's wildly impractical.

He also had a helmet that can communicate with ants, right? But yeah, he could shrink and keep his normal strength as far as I know, not sure what happens when he grows as Giant Man.

We don't know the other two Phase Three movies. One may be Cap or Thor 3, leaving a slot for somebody.

I'd actually want an Ant-Man movie more than I would a Black Panther movie.

I do think it would be a lot easier to do a good Black Panther movie than a good Ant-Man movie, though.
