Was his aim to look like Agent 47?

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-17-2018 06:00 PM

Yes. It's a hitman gimmick.

Oh sweet Jesus. Opie and Anthony are shock jocks, basically, so I get that Shane was going for an awkward laugh kind of thing, but god damn if that isn't just classic WtfMcMahon.

I hope this gets play time during the whole to-do about Saudi Arabia and that it continues to remind sponsors and television networks that they are trash.

Yes and also why he got in trouble in Japan for using it after Square Enix and/or IO Interactive threatened to sue NJPW if he kept wearing it there.

In classic Low Ki fashion, he pretty much ignored the lawsuit threat and got kicked out of NJPW as a result.

I thought there was also a Yakuza kind of thing they didn't want to draw connotations to? But maybe I am conflating things?

Emperor Smeat 10-17-2018 07:55 PM

Probably as well but the main dispute involved trademark stuff.

They were going to sue NJPW for a lump sum and then hit them with additional amounts every time Low Ki wore the gear to events.

Mr. Nerfect 10-17-2018 09:18 PM

I like Low Ki as a talent, but that seems like a really dumb way to lose yourself a job. I mean, wrestling in a suit isn't even that cool. But he's his own man, I guess. He made a choice and I'm sure he's fine with it.

Fignuts 10-18-2018 12:10 AM

Yeah, he's made a lot of choices that make him look like a prick.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-18-2018 12:21 AM

Getting Dolph hurt derailed him in WWE.

Mr. Nerfect 10-18-2018 01:56 AM

I think he was made to look foolish before that. He used his title shot to go after the IC Title like a chump. I think the pairing with LayCool was supposed to handicap him; not get him over.

Big Vic 10-18-2018 11:24 AM

I believe Chavo is the only WWECW champion to never with another world title.

Too many to point at Triple H. Not hard to pick one to point at though, bro.

How did TNA let the Hot Mess Express go lol

Innovator 10-18-2018 01:14 PM

That dude is 7'3

Evil Vito 10-18-2018 01:22 PM

Good for Punishment Martinez

Oh. Thought you were only talking WWE.

In the era of two world titles Morrison felt like someone who definitely was gonna win one eventually.

So when, or IF he debuts for the main roster he'll be 7'7. :wtf:

Seems to be quite a difference comparing him and triple h to triple h and big show, only supposedly 3 inches but show has lost some height over the years, be lucky if he's 6'10 these days.

Though after looking at this pic i'd question wether show was ever 7 feet.

I think his Melina situation hindered him somehow.

I have an instant dislike to the guy in the hat.

That's Matt Riddle, bro. He's gonna be the next big thing.

I can only hope that he looks less like a twonk when outside the ring then when he does become the big thing.

Cool King 10-18-2018 03:16 PM

He should have gotten himself a bangin' bow tie like that other guy.

Cool King 10-18-2018 03:17 PM

But really, he just looks a bit silly with what he's wearing.

That's all I was getting at.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-18-2018 03:39 PM

It's his gimmick. He's a Bro guy.

Emperor Smeat 10-18-2018 04:04 PM

Going to assume Riddle is wearing flip flops or sandals considering he did the same for his crowd reveal at Takeover: Brooklyn IV.

Jordan Omogbehin, played basketball at South Florida.

Here's a summary of them all.

Quote:

A former UFC fighter and EVOLVE Wrestling champion, Riddle’s name stands out as the biggest addition. Yim is a familiar face, competing in the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Mae Yong Classic, and the WWE made her signing official in a video with Triple H released last night.

Green was a contestant on the 2015 version of WWE’s Tough Enough and then honed her craft with Impact Wrestling from 2016-2018. A three year veteran of Ring Honor, Martinez captured the promotion’s TV title earlier in 2018 and held the belt for over 100 days.

Already a ten year pro at 26-years-old, Carrillo is a luchador and comes from the famed Garza family of Mexican wrestling. Both Vidot and Omogbehin come from sports backgrounds. The six-foot-two, 230-pound Vidot is an Australian rugby player while seven-foot-three, 370-pound Omogbehin played college basketball for the University of South Florida and Morgan State University.

Seems FOX is not a fan of Vince's style of comedy for wrestling and want Smackdown to be a lot more sports/wrestling focused when they get the show late next year.

Makes sense since FOX will have to rely a lot more now than before on their sports fans to get the numbers needed to improve in cable rankings. Especially during football season and sports playoffs.

So Fox is like everybody else other than Vince.

Fignuts 10-18-2018 07:41 PM

Would be a cool throwback to the original brand split. Back when they first did it, smackdown was much more wrestling focused than raw's entertainment based product.
