PWTorch.com - WWE NEWS: Clarification on C.M. Punk new theme music story

Clarification: It appears C.M. Punk will not be debuting new theme music at Payback on Sunday. PWTorch has received new information that Rancid lead singer Lars Frederiksen's comment Tuesday in Detroit about recording a new theme for Punk was made in jest.

Lars does do lead on some songs with Rancid as well. "Bloodclot" comes to mind.

I'd also argue that Lars is the better singer of the two, unless Tim is trying to sing horribly on purpose.

Getting dinner at Tara's bar and grill. Molly Holly sitting here eating. Wonder what she's been up to.

Frank Drebin 06-13-2013 08:40 PM

Need Ruien or WeX to come here for another opinion on the place. Great burgers. Getting the "fat Elvis" tonight.

Droford 06-13-2013 10:22 PM

I'm pretty sure that in my fantasy booking mind for payback, punk no shows and Jericho wins via count out but then heyman comes out and says not so fast...and lesnar comes out and destroys him.
Axel beats the miz..all of this leads up to HHH/Jericho/Miz vs Paul Heyman's Guys at Summerslam.

Kinda brilliant actually, I think.

#1-norm-fan 06-13-2013 10:24 PM

If I never see Brock Lesnar and Triple H facing off again, I'll be happy.

Droford 06-13-2013 10:28 PM

Then Vince comes out after hey man's guys win and fires Paul and says that they're all now Vince's guys..

Frank Drebin 06-14-2013 12:17 AM

Wrasslin fanboys....geezus. Looking at the guys who wanted Tara and Molly to sign 34345 items. Makes me no longer wonder why people look down on wrasslin fans the same way they do the goofy cat ladies who watch soaps or the Trekies with terrible social skills.

That's awesome. Tara is probably my favorite diva. I would probably get arrested for groping her if I went. Would totally be worth it though.

Best idea ever.

I will also accept, Punk no shows, Christian comes out to fight Jericho instead.

Talked to him heading into WrestleMania last year because we were trying to get someone to make an appearance at the WrestleMania party the club I worked at was having. I remember him being adamant about getting a flight back to New Jersey immediately after the PPV so he could make it in on Monday morning.

I would quite happily service both of them simultaneously.

Tommy Gunn 06-14-2013 07:09 AM

I'd be up for Punk no showing and Lesnar taking his place as a surprise twist, but it'd be a dick move to advertise Punk in his home town in his first match in months and then not bring him out. Riots would be had.

He might as well take on JTG, Khali and Epico to really make that stable pop.

Last time I checked, punk wasn't pandering to crowds so it would fit that he wouldn't show up.

ron the dial 06-14-2013 01:21 PM

it would be extremely surprising if he fucked with a chicago crowd like that, though. any other city, i would probably agree with you.

Don't forget about Frank Drebin's massive autograph signing at Shoeless Joe's before the PPV this Sunday. Activities will include pictures of my last vacation on my phone and a Q&A with my wife. I will also go on a tirade about how whiteyford needs to add spaces and capitalization to his name.

ron the dial 06-14-2013 03:17 PM

i can assure all of those considering attending Mr. Drebin's event that it will be worth your while.

WCW legend and future Hall of Famer Al Green has passed away.

#1-norm-fan 06-14-2013 04:59 PM

I remember when Ernest Miller had a match one time and got on the mic excited that he would be wrestling R&B legend Al Green. Then he got disappointed when Green came out. lol

The next week he did the same with Prince Iaukea thinking he was actually Prince.
