I don't think I've ever looked forward to a comic book movie less that I am looking forward to Spider Man 2.

alvarado52 02-06-2013 02:59 PM

Pretty much. Wish they would base success of movies on what people actually think as opposed to how many parents took their kids to see Spiderman.

Its unfortunate, because I do feel they did a great job casting Peter/Spidey, but everything else was a mess.

Skippord 02-06-2013 03:30 PM

that was the only good Spider-Man movie that's ever been made

Miotch 02-06-2013 03:51 PM

No, it was the best Spider-Man movie that's ever been made.

And it was still terrible.

Skippord 02-06-2013 04:03 PM

I may have been more forgiving to it because I hate the other 3 so much

should probably watch it again I guess

Corporate CockSnogger 02-06-2013 04:30 PM

Said it before but I like the first two Tobey Maguire films.

Blitz 02-06-2013 11:11 PM

Amazing Spider Man>Spider Man 2>Spider Man 1>Spider Man 3.

Kalyx triaD 02-06-2013 11:14 PM

My ass Amazing Spidey is better than Spidey 2. My fucking ass.

Blitz 02-06-2013 11:58 PM

Yes it is, damn your ass.

Kalyx triaD 02-07-2013 12:03 AM

Foiled again.

Shadow 02-07-2013 12:26 AM

We are all aware that Emma Stone will die at some point right?

Kalyx triaD 02-07-2013 02:18 AM

This next movie even.

Corporate CockSnogger 02-07-2013 07:02 AM

Yesssssssss. The less of her the better.

Miotch 02-07-2013 01:30 PM

Why is it Spider man female leads seem to be the only female leads impervious to nerd love?

Spidey 2 has a better villain. That's it. Andrew Garfield is a better lead, Emma Stone is a better love interest. ASM also has Denis Leary. Checkmate.

Miotch 02-07-2013 02:15 PM

The lack of Toby certainly gives ASM a big push in the debate.

The atmosphere of the raimi films captures the feel of Spider-Man far better. Also, sm2 has better fight scenes.

Rammsteinmad 02-07-2013 03:50 PM

All the Spider-Man movies are awesome. Fuck you all for thinking otherwise. You're wrong!

This is probably true, especially with the gigantic effects budget the Raimi films had. But fucking CHRIST Toby is the worst, and the writing was terrible.

Kalyx triaD 02-07-2013 04:06 PM

I happen to like Tobey's portrayal and the writing was fine.

Fignuts 02-08-2013 01:07 AM

Gonna be honest, I never really had a problem with Tobey.

Dunst was a pretty terrible Mary Jane though.

Shadow 02-08-2013 12:05 PM

But that's because Dunst is just terrible all around.

Columbia Pictures has formally announced the official start of filming on Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is slated to open on May 4th, 2014. According to Columbia, this will be the first Spider-Man movie that will be filmed entirely in New York City and New York State.

The studio’s press release confirmed that Paul Giamatti will be starring in the film, though it declined to note that he will be playing "The Rhino" (see "Paul Giamatti in Talks to Play Rhino in 'Spider-Man 2'"). Columbia also revealed that Colm Feore (Slings & Arrows, Thor, The Borgias) will be joining the ASM 2 cast. No role for Feore was announced, but many insiders believe he will portray Norman Osborn.

As if to point up the role of Oscorp in the Amazing Spider-Man sequel, director Marc Webb released a photo on Twitter from the second day of shooting that reveals a rather ominous-looking Oscorp device that should be familiar to comic book readers.

Marvel Comics’ latest teaser for The Age of Ultron scraps the previous "Submit or Perish" motto for the more deadly sounding "Do or Die," and asks the ominous question "Who will emerge from The Age of Ultron?" It would certainly appear that the Brian Michael Bendis-penned crossover event could involve the demise of a Marvel hero or two.

The teaser image from the Age of Ultron #7 certainly would appear to indicate that the crossover event might just be taking place in an alternate Marvel Comic universe since the normally recognizable Marvel characters and their costumes are mashed-up in a very strange ways. How does one explain what looks like the Wasp wearing the new Captain Marvel costume—and what's with Cycops looking more like Cable—and why is Wolvie back in his popular brown on tan costume—and Star-Lord looks be be wearing a costume more like his original one? Do these changes reflect some sort of alternate or future Marvel Universe, or are these changes the result of what happens in the first six issues of the Age of Ultron?

dronepool 02-10-2013 03:35 PM

I hate to admit it, but I like that teaser. I'm curious about it but I think I'll just wait for the trade... wonder how it conflicts with Marvel NOW.

The Destroyer 02-14-2013 05:35 PM

Looks like Peter Dinklage is going to be in Days of Future Past. Can't think who the hell he's likely to be playing though.

Lock Jaw 02-14-2013 05:41 PM

Supposedly he is playing a villain (possibly the "main villain"). Are there any midget villains in X-Men?

Krimzon7 02-14-2013 08:01 PM

Puck. Alpha Flight.

Lock Jaw 02-14-2013 08:50 PM

Isn't Puck a good guy?

Krimzon7 02-14-2013 08:53 PM

A: you said supposedly
B: the lines of 'good' and 'bad' can be blurred based on whom eyes you're looking through.

Lock Jaw 02-14-2013 09:02 PM

From newsarama:

Quote:

Update Feb. 14: X-Men fans getting their hopes up to see Peter Dinklage play Puck in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past may have to reset - Variety is reporting Thursday afternoon the Game of Thrones actor is playing a villain. Citing unnamed sources the Hollywood trade doesn't identify the villain by name, but describes him as the film's "main antagonist."

Miotch 02-14-2013 09:21 PM

MODOK maybe?

Kalyx triaD 02-14-2013 09:44 PM

Certainly not.

Krimzon7 02-14-2013 10:34 PM

MODOK was an Avenger's villian right?

Skippord 02-14-2013 11:00 PM

Miniature Bolivar Trask

Often. Bear in mind AIM is going to be featured in Iron Man 3.

Krimzon7 02-14-2013 11:52 PM
