Yes. Yes you do. One of the most awesome games I've ever played. The ashtray maze is one of my favorite sequences ever. It's incredible.

Yeah I'm liking it so far as well. Glad I played 0 first though since Kiwami has obvious callbacks to it now that I'm assuming weren't in the original. I've noticed the game is much more difficult than the 0 was as well, what with you being weak as shit at the beginning and all.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-04-2020 04:35 AM

Steam has Turok 2 on sale at the moment; I'm wondering whether to indulge in a bit of nostalgia.

I completed the first episode (Paris fashion show) of season 1 Hitman, but I haven't played anymore since. I need to get back on it.

I've been hearing the call of Skyrim again lately, but I'm not prepared to drop everything else and be consumed by that beast for the next number of months.

Avengers for the foreseeable future.

ClockShot 09-05-2020 08:09 PM

Talos Principle is done. Croteam made you put the brain to work in Road to Gehenna for that platinum trophy.

Just realized the next Borderlands 3 DLC comes out the 10th. So, I'll reinstall and get ready for that.

RP 09-05-2020 09:52 PM

I've never heard a fanbase so divided than the Tony Hawk fanbase. Anything from 1 to 4 could be considered best by these people. I personally think 2 is the best.

Cant believe they didnt put the 1 and 2 remaster on switch.

Destor 09-05-2020 09:59 PM

1 is the only one i ever played

RP 09-05-2020 10:07 PM

Is the Switch that tough to port to that it has to be last to get these games? I wanted to buy PGA2k21 ( i'm not going to because of the reviews of performance ), but if you dont buy the digital, you have to wait until the 21st this month??? Is this because of the country? Whats going on here?

Destor 09-05-2020 10:32 PM

could be bug testing could ve supply chain issues with the carts due to covid

screech 09-08-2020 09:17 PM

Tony Hawk 1 & 2 remaster. Enjoying it a bunch.

Sepholio 09-09-2020 05:31 AM

Yakuza Kiwami done, on to Kiwami 2. Seriously good shit. I feel like a dumbass for missing these games for all these years.

rez 09-14-2020 11:29 PM

Any of ya'll gonna pick up Super Mario 3D All-Stars? Never played Sunshine or Galaxy. Tempted..

RP 09-14-2020 11:36 PM

I preordered it, but i'm worried Gamestop will run out of copies. My order hasnt processed and i've been hearing that lots of retail stores are canceling pre orders because they dont know if Nintendo will be fulfilling enough copies.

Destor 09-15-2020 12:05 AM

i have a copy preordered. im not going to open it though. should have huge resale value in 15 years or so

Destor 09-15-2020 02:57 AM

playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - First Chapter

GD 09-15-2020 03:54 AM

I think I completed the main storyline of MGS V Phantom Spain. Since there is no Ep 51. Not going to replay missions.

Black Widow 09-15-2020 04:05 AM

Hello Neighbor found it for $2 at a yard sale.

Sepholio 09-15-2020 08:56 AM

Yakuza Kiwami 2 has guys from NJPW in the coliseum as opponents. Good shit.

RP 09-15-2020 01:29 PM

I decided out of the blue, to put a game in that i havent played yet ( which is most of them ). Popped Just Cause 2 in and played for about 7 hours having mindless fun. Probably gonna finish it right now.

Destor 09-15-2020 01:43 PM

played the one on current gen. controls are too convoluted. it would be good otherwise.

RP 09-15-2020 01:45 PM

I dont have a huge issue with the controls on PS3 version. The 3rd person aim is kind of like Mass Effect. The grappling hook can be weird sometimes. Still fun though.

Stunt jump is stupid too. It's basically just a jump.

RP 09-15-2020 05:55 PM

So i wont be playing Mario All-Stars i suppose. Whatever this email means.

Due to limited quantities, we will be unable to fulfill your Mario Joy Con skins pre-order bonus for Order Number 144124496. But don't worry, your pre-order of Super Mario 3D All-Stars has not been canceled and will be fulfilled as expected.

My knowledge is that i cant play one of these games on Switch Lite so... I dont even know anymore. This entire thing seems thrown together with no thought. It's like Nintendo didnt know its the Mario 35th anniversery. Not that the are obligated, but if there were ever a year, this is the one. No E3, you failed to put out a first party other than Mario Paper and what.. Hyrule Warriors? Nintendo has to offer more to this Switch. So many Switches are being sold and Nintendo has not been able to do much than port old games. That's bad. And they are bungling this Mario 3D All-Stars.

ClockShot 09-15-2020 06:49 PM

From what I'm reading, you ain't getting the DLC.

ClockShot 09-15-2020 06:55 PM

Finished the 4th DLC for Borderlands 3. 2nd best of the bunch.

Sorta leaves you a nice hook on what's to come.

GD 09-15-2020 07:32 PM

Wondering if I should invest time in previous Metal Gear Solid releases. Feel like Phantom Pain was a chore to get through. Very messy.

Destor 09-15-2020 09:56 PM

v is a terrible game

Sepholio 09-15-2020 10:18 PM

Yea V is prob the worst of all of them tbh.

teamXtremist 09-15-2020 10:22 PM

X-Men Legends was the last game like that I've played and that one was really good. Guess they haven't found that same formula with similar games.

Lego does a better job with their take on offline multiplayer games.

teamXtremist 09-15-2020 10:23 PM

Guys I'm dying waiting for that Mario 35th Anniversary collection. Haven't touched my Switch since August but I'll be playing that as soon as the nsp for it leaks.

Until then i dont remember sucking this bad at Tony Hawk when i was a kid:lol:

Tom Guycott 09-16-2020 12:57 AM

Are the controls for Tony Hawk 1 + 2 any better?

I should prob'ly explain the question more clearly... by convoluting it up!

The original THPS was a groundbreaking game, but with the "benefit" of hindsight, the controls AND collision detection have aged like fine dogshit. I tried to go back and play the original on Playstation, and I was legit astonished as to how I was ever good at it. I remember relentlessly trying to single string combo The Mall from starting hallway to the finish line back in the day (and getting close, but I would always fuck up somewhere in the middle and hit the ground) and getting insane scores at Area 51... but when I fired it up years later, I barely could get past the school. Each subsequent game in the series got more polished in controls being less clunky and more responsive. 3 and 4 are considerably easier to go back and play, but aren't as fondly remembered.

Then, they had that "remaster" like, what, seven years or so ago? And they said they intentionally kept the controls as terrible as possible [paraphrasing in my own words], for the original integrity or somesuch. It somehow felt worse trying to play that version than booting up a PSX and using the original hardware. There were also songs missing.

Did they tighten up the controls and include the ENTIRE soundtrack(s) this time?

screech 09-16-2020 07:12 AM

This is much better than the HD remake that came out on PS3/360. The songs are still censored, but I think they're all there (also added a bunch from I guess other games in the series).

Watched a video that explained how grinding the same straight rail multiple times actually penalizes you, balance-wise. Same with doing a manual three times in a row without a grind or something in between.

I don't know if that answers your question at all, but I found it very helpful.

screech 09-16-2020 07:13 AM

And you don't have to fully complete the game with everyone. Each skater has a set of challenges to do, which is much better.

I enjoyed the missions until they started getting repetitive. Quiet’s story was suppose to be serious but her presentation was crass.

Honestly it just didn't feel like a MGS game to me. The barren openish world for one and the story was just...different. Not as "outlandish" as the other games, in a way. Didn't have the same impact. I prefer 4 tbh, that was a masterpiece imo.

Destor 09-16-2020 11:04 AM

1 3 and 4 are goat tier games

ClockShot 09-16-2020 12:59 PM

Upon further review of the recent posts, I won't load up Phantom Pain on my PS4.

Instead, I got Z.O.E 2 downloading. Should be ready when I get home from work.

Kalyx triaD 09-16-2020 01:48 PM

Tony Hawk 1+2 is great. They finally replicated the old controls and physics. Buy it.

And maybe a 3rd of the soundtrack is there.

I've been telling everyone on tpww to play that game for years. It's amazing

ClockShot 09-19-2020 04:19 PM

I got it on the cheap a while back. It's also VR compatible. But, I got that disconnected.

Crazy week and haven't been playing anything. Going to try tomorrow or Monday.
