I listen to both of Cornette’s podcasts weekly. It’s very relaxing to listen to someone speak who understands why wrestling is shit and will likely need so much fixing before it becomes relevant again that none of us will be alive to see it. I get it. AEW hyping themselves as the “back to basics” alternative and then just doing a lot of old WWE shit as if the “basics” is late 90s WWE was kinda gross to me.

And this is coming from xrod and noid’s biggest detractor.

But Goddammit, Cornette speaks the truth and I love it.

I also listen to Bruce Prichard’s podcast pretty much every week and he’s about as full of shit as they come. So entertainment value trumps everything for me even if Cornette wasn’t always right.

I remember Nash told a story on his youshoot about travelling with ICP in Arizona and warning them about getting eaten by coyotes when they went out to piss in a field. ICP then did a youshoot and someone sent in that clips and they were both like "wtf is he talking about. We've never even ridden in the same car as Nash"

Nash when later shown this and he basically laughed and said why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Why Cutler....WHY?

Yeah, Cutler's inclusion makes it fairly obvious he's there to take the fall.

As I've said, a problem with AEW is the jobbers seem to work Dynamite more than a lot of the midcard/lower midcard because they are afraid to have anyone on the main roster lose except for the Cutlers, Avalons, Lee Johnson etc. A non-contracted team like the Varsity Blondes that they don't care about their record will be on Dynamite way more than Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, etc.

Rankings were a cool idea to start with but it's hamstrung their booking. Like Ethan Page? Bet he'll be working Dark for a while padding his stats until they have a proper angle for him.

Having said that the trios match will probably slap. Looking forward to it.
